At the End of August is a sweet and simple story I wanted to write immediately after watching The Summer I turned Pretty. After the movie, I wanted more love inspired scenes in my life, and if you know me you'd know I want the African/Nigerian version of everything I fall in love with. That was how Stars in a Beautiful Night was birthed, and that is how this too has come about.

This is basically a coming of age without the burdens of trauma and way too much pain. All I hope for it to dwell on is friendships, first love, heartbreaks and teenagers being teenagers in this Nigerian society.

So, I hope you enjoy the story of Oze and her determination for an August of fun that she thinks she's never had.
