Shakshi's Pov

When I woke up, it was around 4 in the morning. Asusual he was spooning me with his arms snaked around my waist and his face snuggling comfortably in the crook of my neck. I tried to wiggle from his hold without waking him, but he end up only pulling me further closer to him. I'm getting addicted to this man!

He groaned when I got out from his hold forcefully. But went back to his sleep when I kissed him on the cheek. The flight to my hometown is about 7 this morning. I need to go to my apartment to collect some of my stuffs and also my mom asked me to wear saree when I go there.

I could have done this yesterday but I was not sure about the leave, also I was disturbed about Pratvik! So I quickly took a shower and went to my place. He was sleeping peacefully and I hate to wake him as he was very tired lately. So I went alone after sticking a note 'Going to my place, will be back soon!' on his bedroom door.

I didn't get a cab on this hour. So I left with a choice of walking there. It takes only 20 minutes from here. As I am actually feeling happy and energetic at the thought of going home and that to my brother's wedding, made me to walk enjoying the morning fresh air!

I stuffed some of my belongings, clothes and my accessories into a suitcase and made my way back again to his place after locking the door as Ari was still in hospital. I miss her a lot! She is doing good lately but Varun insisted her to stay in hospital untill she get recovered fully. They are started to act more than friends! Gross!!!

I don't know I just don't like the idea of this pair! May be its because Varun started to became close to Arica and distant from me. Honestly, Varun is just my friend and nowhere near to Pratvik. But still, I hate that I m being ignored! Friendy jealous!!!

I was too occupied in this thoughts which made me to miss the fact that I was being followed. It strikes me when a hand gripped my arm and pulled back, shutting my mouth with his other hand!

I collided back to his hard chest when he hardly pulled me by my hair. Tears spilled down my eyes as the pain was intense. I tried to shout but the street was empty only with the tinge of yellow hue from the street lights. My cries muffled in his hands and I tried my best to escape from him. I still can't see his face as he was standing behind me.

I was shocked and my trashing came to hault when I see another man who was well built and muscular, covering his face with a cloth came infront with a knife pointing towards me. My eyes went wide and my knees are trembling down!

"Hand me your purse!" he barked in a most disguisting voice.

The guy behind me pulled my handbag forcefully from my shoulder and threw at him. Then he wraped my hands together and held it on my back with both of his hands! My efforts went in vain before his strength.

"Heeellppppp..." I shouted when the other guy was busy with checking into my purse. This made him angry which earned me a hard slap across my face. My skin was burning and hot tears flowed down my cheeks!

"Shut up b*tch! There is no one to save you." the guy behind me pulled my hair and dragged me to the side of the street. I whimpered and started to beg for mercy!

He pushed me to the wall of the locked shop and pinned my hands over my head with one of his hand.

"You look beautiful b*tch! You shouldn't have come out at this time!" he said licking his lips.

"Ple-Please le-leave meee" words came out a whispher. I turned my head to the side.

He grabed my face with his filthy hand and made me look into his eyes. It was lust!!

"Lets go man! I have found the money!" the other guy with the knife said from the distance.

"Yup!! Shortly, after devouring her..." he said trying to kiss me.

My adrenaline shot up. No, No, No!!! This shouldn't happen. I found my courage to kick him right in his balls with my knees when he was lost in kissing me. He groaned in pain and fell to the ground. I didn't waste another second and started to run as fast as I can. My heart was pounding in my chest, my head was dizzy, my legs are wobbling, eyes spilling tears, I was so afraid... Yet I need to run to save me from these bad guys!

I tried to run faster as I heard footsteps following me in a distance. It might me the other guy trying to catch me.

My eyes went glare due to the shiny headlight of a vehicle coming against my direction. I can't control myself to stop but fell on the car which was just pulled on brakes before me! My head hit on the front of the car and my body was slidding down and slumped to the ground infront of it!

"Shakshi! Baby..." his voice gave me relief. My Pratvik!

He came running down from the car and kneeled near me lifting me into his arms! I curled into his lap and cried hard! I don't know I'm exhausted right now and I need him the most!

"Ssshhh... Sweetpie! I'm here! Sshhh!" he stroked my back comforting me.

I clutched his shirt tightly and buried my face into his chest. My whole body was shivering from the encounter I had shortly.

"What happened, sweetpie? Look at me little one!" he tried to lift my chin up gently.

His eyebrows frowned when he saw one of my cheek was red due to the slap and blood oozing from my lip with that.... kiss!

"Who did this baby?" he asked in such a low voice trying his best not to scare me, but I can sense his anger in his eyes.

I dare not to think about the incident or see him again. So I simply pointed my finger towards the road against us, still burying in his chest. I don't want to get down from his arms, ever!

"There is no one, sweetpie!" he said looking up.

I can't look there I just can't! I gripped my hold further in his shirt and more tears ran down my face!

"Baby... Sssshhh.. Please don't cry! You are safe! I'm here sweetheart!" he hugged me and kissed my head inbetween.

"I will see to it! Don't worry baby!" He said wiping my tears. "Its cold out here!" he stood with me in his arms and walked to the car.

He deposited me carefully on the front seat and covered me with a blanket that he had in his car. He gave me some water to drink which calmed me and kissed my forehead before closing the door.

He drove few metres forward and reached the spot where it all happened as he saw my luggage spilled open in the road. I shut my eyes tightly and panicked at the thought.

He immediately hold my hand and eases it with his thumb knowing my state.

"Ssshhh...No one is gonna hurt you when I m with you! Everything is gonna be okay sweetpie!" he got down after kissing my hand.

He came back and put my luggage into the car.

"No one is here. I think we should leave!" he sighed.

After a silent drive back to his apartment he cared me just like his typical self. But he neither talked to me much nor asked about the incident. He might be mad that I left alone in first place!

He was reading the newspaper and I was sitting there opposite to him. It was around 9. He didn't make a move to go to his work. And I already missed my flight! But he didn't say anything.

I scoffed. He didn't respond. I scoffed again. Still negative!

"P- Pratvik!" I barely said.

"Mmm..." he didn't took his eyes off the newspaper. I got irritated.

"Are you mad at..." my words caught in my mouth when he suddenly glared at me. I bit my lip.

"Not at all, SHAKSHI! Why should I? Its perfectly fine that you went out alone early on the roads and get harassed by some burglars. Its absolutely fine! You did nothing wrong!" he gritted his teeth.

"I d-didn't expect..." my voice trembled, I looked down fidgeting my hands.

He came and sat beside me and I instantly lean against him. I afraid that he might push me away, he was way too pissed off since it happened. But he just snaked his arms around me and pulled me closer to him.

"I can't forgive myself if something happen to you, sweetpie!" he kissed the top of my head closing his eyes as if in pain!

"I'm sorry!" I wishpered.

"Baby, I know you like to be independent and do things on your own. But just trust me. I will never restrain you from your wishes but stand beside you, supporting you and keep you safe!" he said sincerely.

I put my arms over his neck and pulled him down and placed a kiss on his cheek. He chuckled. I blushed!

"I already missed the haldi of my sister-in law!" I said with a hint of sadness.

"You won't! I booked you another flight  this morning. You will reach there in time! And stop pouting orelse..." he pecked my lips gently.

"Pratvik!" I whinned and hit his chest.

After our lunch, I tried draping my saree as my mom strictly told me to! I like to wear them but it is too difficult to drape! It would be fine if Ari was here, as she helped me during the golden jubliee event! But here, I was working with it for an hour now. I scowled when Pratvik impatiently knocked my door, I know its getting late for the flight, but this saree...

I opened the door and he started laughing looking at me. I can't handle the pleats so I just pinned them as a bunch, which made me look fatter. I rolled my eyes at him.

"You can just wear some kurthi, sweetpie!" he tried hard to muffle his laugh.

"Mom told me to come in saree. I don't know why she is so concern about this, she said I need to look polite infront of Reni sis's parents! Odd." I said without a clue.

"Oh!" he gave me a knowing smile like he realized something. I don't mind as I was busy in adjusting the pleats.

"Here, let me help!" he said sitting down and correcting the pleats. Awww! Every girl's dream. I melted on that too.

"All done!" he said finally looking up at me and I was already grinning back at him.

We reached airport and Pratvik was placing the luggages out of the car. I m already in a hurry. So I was literally running inside with one of my bag.

"Shakshi!" he called, coming behind me. Then it hits me! I m going away from him for the first time. I won't be seeing him for a week. Gonna stay away from him, his touch, his kiss, his cuddles, his love talk, his comfort! I m going to miss him badly!

I was pooled with the excitement of my brother's wedding which made to forget this fact. But now... My vision blurred as my eyes brimmed with tears! I don't I can't tolerate this distance, I was becoming so attached to him without my knowledge.

"Shakshi!" he tapped me lightly on my shoulder bringing me back.

I turned over and hugged him tightly letting out a sob!

"What happened sweetpie?" he panicked.

"I m goona miss you!"

"I know! But now its time for the flight! Come!" he began to walk dragging me with him.

May be he was not affected with this. He might not miss me! He might okay with this and I m mad at him for the fact I don't know why!

He joined me in the que. I stared at him questioningly.

"You leave! I can go on my own!" I hissed at him.

"Okay!" he said cooly and left.

How dare he is!

I sat on my seat and closed my eyes to calm down myself. I was very much disturbed with his attitude. He is sweet onetime then being arrogant very next!

Why did I fell in love with him?

"Thinking about me?" his voice stratled me.

My eyes shot open only to meet his. He was sitting next to me! Whats happening?!

"Pratvik! You... What are you doing here? The flight is about to take off... How did you..." I tensed.

"Ssshhh... Breathe baby! I came to..."
His hands do my seatbelt on which I forget to when I sank in my own thoughts!

"To put my seatbelt?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

He smirked. He fastened his seatbelt too!

"Don't tell me that you are going to travel with me! Pratvik?"

"How can you think like that after giving me a coronary this morning?" he said plainly!

God! This is why I fell in love with him!

The flight started to take off and I shut my eyes tight as this always made me uncomfortable, untill he placed his hand over mine and squeezed it gently!

After we landed, it was very difficult for me to convience him to not to accompany me to my house. The car was already waiting outside and I m begging him to leave! I may sound bad but I have no choice!

I didn't said anything about him to my mom or brother. I don't know how they will react, also I don't want to ruin my brother's wedding! So let me talk about him after that.

He insisted to call me once I reached home and even switched on the tracker from my mobile. I felt like a terrorist now! He is over reacting! But I don't dare to speak against him, atleast now!

He grabbed my waist suddenly and kissed me on my lips. That kiss told me how much he is going to miss me!

My cheeks flushed when lot of people are looking at us now. Damn! We are Tamil nadu now!

I went to my home touching my lips and dwelling in his thoughts!

I was in complete amusement when I reached my home. The whole place was glistening with yellow hue!

Its haldi guys!!! The yellow fun in indian weddings!

I was so happy that even his thoughts starting to fade away! My friends gathered around me and we were chatting and yelling at each other with bliss! As I m meeting them after such a long time! My mom cleared her throat and grabbed me by my arm and took inside the home!

"Behave Shakshi! Reni's parents are watching!" she scoled.

So what? What's wrong with her! Why should I need to be calm and polite, even my bro and sis- in law are partying at distance in their haldi!

he took me with her where Reni's parents were sitting.

"This is my daughter. Shakshi!" she said to them.

"Hello aunty, Hi uncle!" I greeted them with a smile.

"Shakshi! Get their blessings... Bend down." she gritted her teeth and hissing at me. MOM!!!

This sudden change in my mom's attitude started nagging me. But I don't wanted to create a scene when my mom was glaring at me. I akwardly bent to touch their feet!

"Its okay dear! Come here! You look so beautiful!" Reni's mom said and cupped my face affectionately!

But Reni's father look like he was pissed off seeing me. He left without a word!

"Shakshi..." Reni sis came towards me.

"You are late already and what are you doing here with these old ladies! Come lets have some fun!" she said applying some haldi on my cheek and rescuing me from there! She is as sweet always!

There were lot of fun, photoshoot, dance, songs and music... I really need this!

We were sitting in a circle and playing truth or dare. When Reni sis stratled me with a 'truth' turn of mine!

"Shakshi, truth or dare?" Reni sis pointed me.

"Dare sis!" I said.

"No! You are always picking the dare. Lets do truth this time!"

"Okay sis!"

"Do you love someone Shakshi?" she dropped the bomb.

If I say 'yes' I would get caught and my brother and mom will be shocked that I hide it from them. I can't say 'No'... I love him so much!

All the blood in my face were drained out. I wanted to run away!

"Shakshi?" Reni called me. I bit my lip!

"Why are you asking such a simple question, Reni? Its definetly a No! She is really a good girl who never disgrace us, Aren't you Shakshi?" Vijay asked me. Guilt washed over me.

"I- I n-need to use t-the r-restroom. E-excuse me!" I ran to my room.

I tried calling Pratvik plenty of time but he wasn't answering. I m in a state that I want him to console me! I cried and slept on my bed.

I woke up to the bangings at my door. It was my mom again! She stormed up inside. It was around 7:30 in the evening. Oh! I need to get ready for the function but I slept! She was throwing daggers at me!

"Shakshi! How can you sleep like this? You are being so irresponsible! What will they think of you? Hurry and wear this saree and jewels and come down fast!" she bursted out.

"Mom! I cant wear this much jewellery! And why are you behaving like this? This is not my wedding!" I was irritated.

"Don't argue! Wear them and come down!" she left after closing the door.

When I went down the ceremony was already started. Reni sis looks really beautiful. I can see so much love between them! I am already missing my Pratvik!
