Pratvik's Pov

I was searching for my tie when she came and called me for the breakfast.  She was very happy about her brother's wedding, since her mom called. She barely slept and didn't let me to sleep last night. She shared many of her childhood memories and about her brother, and opened up all about her family. Sometimes she was on cloud nine and got emotional when she touched the topics on her father! I was holding her in my arms and listened to all of her words!

When I entered the kitchen, the aroma of spices filled my nose. She was serving my plate with hot moong dal cheela with stuffed panner and parathas with butter melting on top. There was also cute looking gulab jammuns in dessert bowl, just like her. The sight was enough me to drool! I sat on the chair and she was standing beside me, smiling!

"You don't have to do all these, Shakshi!" I seriously cared, as she was tired already because of lack of sleep.

"But I love to! Do you like it?" she was eagerly looking at me.

I pulled her to my lap.

"Pratvik?!" she fakely scolded me.

"Lets eat together, sweetpie!" I took a gulab jamun to her lips and she bit into half and I tasted the rest! Sweet?!

She blushed again. I don't know how long will she take to get used to be with me?

"I never know you are a romantic person!"

"No! I'm not!" I deepen the kiss on her lips.

She clutched my shirt making me groan and break the kiss.

"Oopps sorry!" she tried to straighten the wrinkled shirt with her gentle fingers.

I rolled my eyes at her. I usually want to be neat and perfect, a milder degree of OCD! I straighten the fabric further after placing her back on her feet. She got irritated with this!

"What? Did I asked you to kiss me? Fine! Stay with your shirt then, I'm leaving to my hometown today!" she stormed out of the kitchen.

We moved in silence until we reach the hospital. She didn't gave me a glance but got down from the car and went into the college. Wow man! Long way to go!

I went to the administrative office and applied leave for today and also asked to reject Shakshi's leave application and told to give her the reason of inspection going on the college.

I called Reni to inform about my depature from Delhi heading to Shakshi's hometown. I also called Sharath to drop Shakshi to my apartment after the college and say her I went for an important medical conference and will be back in the morning. I hate the idea of Sharath accompaning her, but its not safe for her to go alone because of her damn father roaming with vengence!

I already spoke to my mom about Shakshi and make preparations for our proposal to Shakshi's family. As all my family is now in Tamil nadu for Vijay-Renika's wedding, it was easy for me to excute this plan.

I didn't have to pacify my family on this, as they usually don't refuse to my words. I boarded the flight on time, there was missed calls from Shakshi but I switched off my mobile. The flight journey was about three hours and I was happily floated in the dreams of me and Shakshi together, forever!

I slept without knowing, due to my tiredness and no sleep last night, all thanks to my girl. I woke up when a small hand was tapping on my face. It was a cute baby from my neighbour's seat.

"Sorry sir, our kid is little bit naughty!" the passenger near by apologized and tried to take the baby back.

"Its fine sir. No problem!"I hold the baby and started to admire it, drifting to the fact that me and Shakshi will be having a baby like this!

I was usually not interested in babies and like to keep a good distance from them. I used to feel sorry for the people who had babies, I wondered how they can handle these creatures! (No offence). But, she, she turned all my tables! I laughed at myself! My Shakshi!

A car was waiting for me when I went out of the airport. Shakshi's home was quite located in the village, so the journey was about an hour from the airport. The green fields and the cold breeze all the way to her home soften me. I was ofcourse a little bit tensed to meet her family!

I switched on my mobile only for the screen to pop up with her n number of texts and missed calls. She might be angry as I left her without word.

And her texts goes on. I giggled at her mood swings reflecting on her words.

Shakshi's home was located in the middle of farm lands. Coconut trees were lined up to its magestic. A beautiful garden with multi coloured flowers, birds and butterflies welcomed me. Now I know why my baby is so beautiful and charming, as she was born and raised in such a place!

The house was all decorated with flowers, wreath and lamps. People were busy working their ways. Foods and sweets were being prepared in big utensils under the tents. Children were playing and laughing! Women and men wearing silk garments, sparkled with the traditional jewellery and costumes!

A woman came and greeted me pulling me out my astonishments on the wedding arrangements.

"Vanakkam Thambi"(Greeting in Tamil). She said with a 'namaste' in her hands.

"I'm Vijay's mother. Reni dear, showed your pic and told about you yesterday.  Everybody is inside attending the Pre wedding Pooja. Please come in."

I don't know what to say as she approached me immediately. Reni might already told her about my wedding proposal on Shakshi! So, I touched her feet getting the blessing and to show some respect. I had never even touched my parents feet, but I really want her mother's approval. So..! God!!! Shakshi- she is making me to do millions!

I joined her in to the home where I spot my mom with my dad who was sitting there with no emotions. Who cares, we just need his presence! Getting love marriage to the arranged ones are quite difficult nowadays!

"PRASSY!!"

I turned to the direction of Reni's voice.

My little sister is now all grown up, getting married. The tides of time rolls fast! She look so beautiful in that silk saree, traditional attire, as I only seen her sassy in her modern wears!

She came and gave me a hug.

"Didn't I asked you to come in white shirt and dhoti?" she look disappointed.

"Sorry dear! No time to change. So how things going?" I tapped her nose.

"I never expected this much celebrations. Like... WOW... Look at me, look around! Its sparkling everywhere. I'm in complete bliss!"

"Reni... Priest is calling you to lit the lamp..." Vijay came to us and greeted me when he saw me. "Welcome bro!"

"Can we talk after this pooja, bro! Please have a seat." he said and looked reni to follow him.

I sat with my mom and talked about Shakshi most of the times. Today is really a big day for me as I need Shakshi's family to accept me!

After the pooja and heavy lunch we all sat in the living room. My father didn't like my proposal idea. But he is not dare to refuse me! My mom was very much happy as she felt something secure about the fact of Vijay's sister getting married to me, so that her daughter Reni would be safe in Vijay's family! She is an old school!

Reni was sitting beside me and placed her hand over mine assuring me.

"I love your daughter, Shakshi, aunty. I would like to marry her! I will keep her happy till my last breath." I am very weak in these kind of dramas so I just jumped into the conclusion.

"We are happy too, son! Reni told us everything. But... Shakshi, she was very much off after her father..." Shakshi's mom struggled.

"Its fine aunty! Shakshi spoke about him. Shakshi will be very much hapy to get married to me. I just came here for your permission." I said politely.

"I am very much content to marry my daughter to you..." she trailed off looking Vijay hesitantly.

"Sorry bro! I didn't like you!" Vijay mocked me.

"Is it so? Then, we don't want Reni to get married to you! Come Reni lets leave!" I said with fake anger and pulled Reni's hand with me, getting up from the seat!

"Bro! Bro! Wait! I was just kidding!" Vijay started to laugh.

Reni wriggled her hand from my hold and went to hug Vijay! Ahh! It hurts, Reni darling!

Laughter and happiness filled the room.

"We can do upto 200  savaran of gold and a land property for our Shakshi.... Is it ok for you, sir?" Shakshi's mom asked to my father very politely!

"Is that all? Don't you know Pratvik is a doctor, earning 2 lakhs per month. This is what you can afford to us? We are giving you about 700 savaran gold, car, and an appartment for Reni! Your daughter is not a good looking too and she is still studying. Pratvik owns a master degree. How can you expect us to settle with this cheap one! This is why we should marry our people to the equally wealthy one! I didn't expect this..." my father started to pile up harshly.

"Enough!" I boomed.

Silence filled the entire room. Shakshi's mother look worried and hung her head low. It really bothered me!

"Aunty! I'm so sorry for my father! I just loved your daughter, not the gold and property. And I believe, I can give her a comfort life with my earnings. This is not some trade! So please don't mind his words. Actually Reni needs her father's approval badly, so she waited this long to convience him. But, I don't! So, this wedding will happen regardless of his approval." I said firmly.

The tension in the air reduced and my father went out as he got insulted. I don't care anyways!

After that, we were seeing the childhood albums of Shakshi, Vijay. We were sharing the beautiful memories and chatted a little long till the evening!

I told them that I want to give Shakshi a suprise about this wedding. I also asked Shakshi's mom to inform her about this proposal but send her a pic of one of my cousins, narrating him as her bride groom and Renika's brother!

I took a leave after promising them that I would be back after three days but Shakshi will be here tomorrow! Shakshi's mom packed some of the sweets for me.

I reached the airport and boarded the flight to Delhi at 7 in the evening.

It was 10 when I landed Delhi. I checked my mobile. There were so many missed calls and texts from Shakshi, but what caught my eye was a text from Sharath, 'Call me, its urgent'.

I called Sharath.

"Sharath... Is she fine?"

"Where are you man? She started to cry! Stop playing games with her and attend her call for god's sake!"

"Where is she now?"

"I dropped her in your apartment, she didn't eat the whole day it seems. She refused the dinner too! She looked pale!"

"I got this! I will call you later. And thanks!" I cut the call and drove fast to my apartment!

When I opened the door with the spare key, the whole place was dark and silent!

I closed the door and switched on the light of my living room.

I went to my bedroom and she jerked from the bed as I scared her with the sudden opening of the door.

"Hey, hey! Baby! Its me! I'm sorry did I scare you?"

Her face was all red due to the cryings, her eyes were bulged out and her nose was all pink. A faint trace of tear was on her cheeks. Her eyes brimmed up with tears again at my sight! She came running towards me!

Her legs failed her but I caught her before she stumble to the floor. I picked her up in my arms by her thighs and she snaked her legs around my waist and threw her arms over my neck! She sniffled her cry on my chest.

"Ssshhhh baby! Don't cry! I'm sorry! I just went for the conference."

"Wh- why didn't uhh yo-you atte-nd the ca-calll..." words slipped from her mouth in between the cries.

God!!! Shakshi!!! I would never left you if I know it will affect you like this! I 'm sorry sweetheart!!!

"Baby! I was little busy! I'm so sorry. It won't happen again. I promise! Calm down sweetpie!" I kissed her head repeatedly apologizing her.

She placed her head at the crook of my neck. She look so weak! Her arms struggled to hold me as they are fatigue. Knowing this, I gently placed her on bed and covered her with a blanket and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"I- I tho-ught yo-you were angry on me!" she barely let out a whispher.

"No! Baby! I can never get mad at you! Nomatter what! Keep my word dear! Don't make me repeat. Yeah?" I stroked her back to comfort her.

She just nodded.

"Why didn't you eat? Look at you! You can barely move a muscle." I said with concern.

I feed her the mango cake by pieces and she happily sat in between my legs and started to munch on the cake.

I know she will never say no to cakes!

I took my shower after that and join her in the bed.

She snuggled into me without wasting a second and I happily puller her towards me.

"I didn't get leave for my brother's wedding." she said sadly.

"Baby! I got you ticket for tomorrow's morning flight. I will drop you in the airport." I kissed her head.

"But I didn't get leave..."

"I will take care of that sweetpie!" I cut her off.

"Yeah!!! I forget who my boyfriend is!" she said tickling me.

"Sh- Shakshi!!! Sto- stop!!!" I can't control myself.

But she loved to torture with her delicate fingers tickling me. Tears formed in my eyes with the bursting laughter! I can't take this anymore.

I rolled over so she is below me. I grasped and pinned both of her hands above her head with one of my hand. I breath out harshly.

"I told you to stop, didn't I baby?" I said seductively looking straight to her eyes then her lips.

She stoned and breath caught in her lungs.

"You always trigger me well but act innocent after that! You are such a bad girl, baby. Aren't you?" I placed my other hand flat on her stomach pushing her softly into the mattress holding her in place.

She shut her eyes immediately and I can feel her toes curling down under me!

"Look. At. Me." I said pulling her hands higher ant tightening my grip lightly.

She opened her eyes shyly.

"Do you know how hard it is for me to resist you when you ignite me everytime? You are playing me as a joke. Aren't you baby?" I blow softly at the side of her neck.

She shivered and shut her eyes again.

"Don't! Don't close your eyes! See what you are doing to me!" I ran my nose along her collarbone, inhaling her sweet scent.

Her body arched up begging for my touch. Her chest was heaving with the
spike of hormones!

I too love torturing her!!

"Pratvik... Ple- please..." she struggled.

"What baby? What is that my innocent girl want from me?" I asked with a smirk.

I started nibble on her sweet spot below her ear.

"Ple-pleas-seeee..."

"Words baby!" I chuckled.

"Please kisss meee!" she begged.

I didn't wait another second and kissed her on lips and our lips danced to the rhythm. I freed her hands which immediately tangled into my hairs. I grasped her waist and rolled over without breaking the kiss. So she was lying on my chest now!

After a blissful moment we broke for air and she immediately buried her face on my chest and hugging me tightly, blushing!

I let out a chuckle and kissed her head, covering the blanket over us!

I hope she might forgotten the sad memories happened today!

Love replaces everything!
