LINH'S POV

I walked into the Healing Center with confidence. 

I knew he would be expecting Sophie, not me. 

I saw Fitz's eyes widen when he saw me standing in the doorway. His mouth moved, but nothing came out, until he looked behind me and I turned around to see what he was staring at.

Sophie.

And she was staring into my eyes, and I could see the hurt and hatred pooling up inside her. 

I knew she wouldn't explode around Fitz. At least, she would TRY not to. But I was going to make her. 

" Sophie!" I exclaimed. " What are you doing here?"

She looked at her feet. " Seeing my boyfriend. What else?"

It was now or never. I had to bite.

" Remember?" I said. " Fitz is MY boyfriend." I gently, secretivitly, took a device out of my pocket, put it in my hand, and walked towards Fitz. I put my hand that held the device in Fitz's, and boom! I knew that this device made people forget big things that had happened in the past. I was hoping that it would help Fitz forget about him and Sophie. 

I was right.

But then he proved me wrong.

Fitz looked at me with hurt and dissapointment in his eyes. I hung my head and looked at his cot instead of meeting his, or Sophie's face. 

I felt a breeze rush past me as Sophie rushed to his side. 

Still hanging my  head, I fast walked out of the healing center. How could I ever face anyone again?

SOPHIE'S POV

I watched as Linh walked out of the room, her head hung. 

Then I turned to Fitz.

" What was she doing here?" I asked Fitz.

He shrugged slightly, then winced. 

" More importantly, how are you? What happened?" I asked.

Fitz rubbed his head. " I-I think I fell. Or got hit. I don't really remember."

I sighed. " It's a good thing we got you here when we did."

He nodded grimly. " Hopefully my good buddy Elwin here'll let me go home soon." He swapped a grim look for a grin at the physician.

Elwin nodded and winked. " With Sophie by your side, I'm sure." 

I smiled and leaned down to kiss Fitz on the lips. He gratefully returned it and gave me the look that meant he wanted more.

" Nope!" I said, wagging a finger at him. He, in return, gave me puppy eyes.

" You have to wait until you're home and we are alone," I insisted. 

He sighed dramatically before finally saying, " Fine." 

The three were silent before I broke the silence, saying, " You probably need me to go home now. So, I'll just leave now." I took out my home crystal. " Anyway, Grady and Edaline are probably home and wondering where I am."

" No!" Fitz yelled-a little too loudly.

Elwin gave him. 'a look'. 

" I'll come back tomorrow, I promise," I say to Fitz, leaning down and kissing him on the cheek, " I'll see you tomorrow, honey." 

Fitz mumbles something I can't understand. 

" See ya!" I wave and walk out of the room, pick up my bags I had brought, and light leap to Havenfield.
