Marinette's POV

I opened the door to the bakery and I saw my mom and dad in the kitchen baking.

"Hi Mom. Hi Dad. My friend Adrien is coming over later for a project we're working on. Is that okay with you?" I asked.

"Sure, honey. That's fine. Just don't keep him here too late," Mom replied. She winked at me.

"Mom! He's not my boyfriend! I don't even have a crush on him anymore. I have a crush on someone else!" I explained.

"And who might this new crush be?" Dad asked. That question caught me off guard.

"I, uh, it's a secret... I could never be with him anyway... It's impossible... Fine... I have a crush on... Chat Noir..." I replied.

"Wow. You went from supermodel to superhero. Do you even know him?" Mom asked.

"I've met him before. Ladybug actually sent him to protect me and then I ended up helping him in battle and I was saved by him once or twice and I sort of fell in love with him," I explained.

"Oh, I see. You've worked with him and you've been saved by him, so you just fell in love with him. That makes little sense," Dad said.

"Just go with it. I need to go to my room now and work on the costumes for the play that we're doing for our project. Later," I said before running upstairs, dropping my bag on the ground, and plopping down on my bed and groaning.

"It's not as bad as you think, Marinette. All Ladybugs fall in love with Chat Noirs. It's in the ancient law. That's why all of past heroes have gotten their Miraculous after they've had their 16th birthday. You are only 15. Chat Noir is 16, but he got his when he was 15. So, Chat Noir is older than you. Anyways, you shouldn't feel bad about it. This is your destiny! Your fate! Your 16th year is very important. It's when you really start falling in love. It was difficult for Master Fu to pick the perfect people for the job. He had to figure out the perfect pair. You were the first one to receive a Miraculous. Then it was the civilian form of Chat Noir, but back to the point. Don't be afraid to tell others about your feelings. It'll all turn out for the best. All you have to do is believe in yourself!" Tikki explained.

"Yeah, I guess you're right. What am I saying? You're always right," I said. "I need to get to work on these costumes."

And with that, I got out a new sheet of paper and started on Chat Noir's suit. It took me a while to draw it, but I finally finished it. I colored it in and looked for the perfect materials. I decided to use shiny fabric, so it would look a little less realistic. It would help to keep my identity a secret. Of course, I also had to make Chat Noir's suit match Ladybug's with the type of fabric.

I grabbed out red fabric and black fabric and started sewing my costume. When I was a fourth of the way finished, I heard the doorbell ring. I stopped what I was doing and decided that I should probably take down all of my pictures of Adrien since I no longer had a crush on him. I quickly took care of it and opened my trapdoor. I started down the stairs to see Adrien standing in the doorway.

"Hi, Adrien. You can come on up to my room. I want to show you what I've gotten done with the costumes so far," I told him as I gestured for him to come upstairs.

"Okay," he said as he started climbing the steps leading to my room. I held open the trapdoor until he was in my room. I closed it and walked over to my sewing machine.

"So, this is what I've sewn so far for the Ladybug costume," I said as held up my unfinished work.

"That's really good. Can I see the design for Chat Noir's suit?" Adrien asked.

"Sure," I replied as I grabbed the design off of my desk. I handed to him. He looked it over, his eyes showing that he was impressed with the design.

"The detail on this is tremendous. You are seriously talented," Adrien complemented. I was flattered that he was impressed with my designs.

"We should probably get working on the script," I told Adrien as he handed the paper back to me.

"Yeah, you're right. We need to do as much as possible before the deadline. We have until next Friday, so we have to use our time wisely," he stated. I nodded my head in agreement. I turned on my computer that now had a black cat as the background instead of Adrien. I realized that it would seem like I was crushing on Chat Noir, which I was, but I wanted to keep it a secret as long as I could.

I quickly opened Google Docs and created a new document before Adrien could question my background.

"Alright. So we need to start with before patrol in scene one," I said.

"Shouldn't you put the title on the document first?" Adrien asked.

"Oh, yeah. I guess I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself," I said. I looked at the empty document on my computer and put the title on it. We started typing out scene one:

Scene One

(Ladybug is waiting for Chat Noir to show up for patrol.)

Ladybug: (to herself) Where is that cat?

(Chat Noir comes up behind Ladybug.)

Chat Noir: Right here.

Ladybug: We need to start patrolling.

Chat Noir: So correct you are.

Ladybug: Is something wrong?

Chat Noir: (with a confused look) No, why?

Ladybug: You haven't been acting like yourself. You haven't flirted or made a single pun. Are you sure you're alright?

Chat Noir: (smirks) Glad you spotted the difference, m'lady.

Ladybug: (rolls her eyes) I shouldn't have mentioned it. You made a ladybug pun and flirted in the same sentence. We should start patrolling before we get too distracted.

Chat Noir: (leans in a little) I can be pretty distracting.

Ladybug: (pushes Chat Noir out if her face) Let's just start patrolling. I'll take left. You take right. We'll meet back here after we're done patrolling.

Chat Noir: (nods his head) Got it! We can meet back here and maybe I can make some more puns.

Ladybug: Please don't. I really don't need this tonight.

Chat Noir: Aw, but m'lady, mew know I just can't resist it. I also know that you wouldn't be able to resist me if you knew my identity.

Ladybug: (laughs) I guess I'll have to take your word for it. Even if I seriously doubt it. I can be wrong too sometimes. Anyways, are you ready to start patrolling now?

Chat Noir: Of course, m'lady.

Ladybug: Good.

(Ladybug and Chat Noir go to patrol the city. End scene.)

"Well, we got scene one done. I should probably head home. I don't want to stay too late. It's already 9:00. See you tomorrow?" Adrien asked.

"Sure," I replied.

"Bye!" he said as he walked towards the trapdoor to leave.

"Bye!" I said. Adrien left and I was left sitting in front of my desk feeling accomplished. I decided to go to bed so I would get up early enough to get to school on time.

Then I remembered something. Homework. Oops. I quickly did it and then went to bed. Before turning the light off, I checked the time: 11:00. Oh, well. So much for going to bed early. I turned off the light and went to bed. I was in for a crazy couple of weeks.

That was the next chapter. The next few chapters will be each scene they write. There will be a little bit of the main story at the beginning and the end, but it will mainly be scenes. There will be five scenes. Please comment, vote, and enjoy! If you follow me, I will follow you back! Bug out! 🐞
