Practice
Adrien's POV
I entered Marinette's room once again. This was becoming a normal thing. I came right to her house after my photoshoot each day.
"Hi, Adrien," Marinette greeted.
"Hey, Marinette. Are you ready to practice scene one?" I asked.
"Yeah, I think so," she replied as she got out the scripts she had printed for us. She handed me one of them. It was highlighted in green. Her's was highlighted in red. I took the packet and looked through it. It shouldn't take very long to perform, but it might take a while to memerize.
"Okay..." I said.
"Do you want to wear our costumes?" Marinette asked.
"Uh... Sure. I would like to try it on and see if it fits," I replied. Marinette handed me the Chat Noir suit. I went into the bathroom and changed into it. The costume fit perfectly. I looked in the mirror and fixed my hair to make it more like the style of my alter ego.
I walked out of the bathroom and saw that Marinette was already in her Ladybug costume.
"Wow, you really look like Chat Noir," Marinette noticed. Oh, no. Is she suspicious of me?
"Really? Well, I've spotted that you look a lot like Ladybug," I noticed. Then I realized that my alter ego was showing. Oops.
"You made a pun," she said.
"Did I?" I asked, faking not knowing.
"Yeah, you said spotted. My suit has spots," Marinette explained.
"Oh, yeah," I said. "Unintended pun."
Marinette laughed. "I guess so."
"Let's start memerising this script," I said.
"Yeah, okay," Marinette said.
"You start," I said.
"Oh. Yeah. 'Where is that cat?'" Marinette started. She sounded like a robot. I laughed.
"You sounded like a robot when you said that," I stated.
"Yeah... The teacher did say that I don't sound natural when I read. I guess I'll just have to memerize each line and then say without reading off the paper," Marinette explained.
"Let's start again," I said.
(M=Marinette A=Adrien)
M: Where is that cat?
A: Right here.
M: We need to start patrolling.
A: So correct you are.
M: Is something wrong?
A: No, why?
No one's POV
The two teenagers continued with the script of scene one and kept on repeating it until they had it completely memerised.
"I can't believe we're already this far in our project!" Adrien exclaimed.
"Me neither," Marinette said.
"Do you think we'll be able to get the entire script done by Friday?" Adrien asked.
"I think we can," Marinette replied. Then they heard a big boom in the distance.
"I need to go...to the bathroom," Marinette announced, trying to excuse herself so she could go transform.
Adrien didn't know what to do. He needed to find a place to hide. Then he realized something. He could say that he should probably get home.
"I should probably get home. It's getting late. Bye, Mari," I said. I quickly ran downstairs before she could stop me.
"No, Adrien! Wai-" Marinette started, but stopped when the trapdoor shut behind Adrien. She sighed. She didn't want Adrien getting hurt.
"Don't worry, Marinette. He'll be okay. I promise," Tikki assured her. She knew that Adrien was Chat Noir, but she couldn't tell Marinette. She would have to figure it out on her own.
"Okay..." Marinette said, but she sounded doubtful.
"Come on, Marinette! We have a city to save!" Tikki exclaimed.
"Oh, right! Tikki, spots on!" she chanted. A bright pink light engulfed her and quickly disappeared to reveal her red, spotted Ladybug suit.
Adrien hid in an alley way. Plagg flew out of his jacket.
"I know who Ladybug is," Plagg announced.
"What?!" Adrien exclaimed. "And you never told me? Who is she?"
"I'm not gonna just tell you! You have to figure it out on your own!" Plagg replied.
"Ugh! I have to know who she is!" Adrien said.
"And we have to save the city," Plagg reminded him.
"Oh, right! Plagg, claws out!" Adrien chanted. He was engulfed with a bright green light. It quickly disappeared to reveal his black Chat Noir suit.
Both heroes ran to the scene. They came from opposite directions and landed right in front of each other after they both jumped off a building.
"Ladybug!" Chat Noir exclaimed.
"Chat Noir!" Ladybug exclaimed at the same time.
"We need to find the akuma and-" Ladybug started, but Chat Noir cut her out.
"Make Paris purrfect again!" he shouted. Ladybug rolled her eyes at his silly pun.
"That isn't what I was going to say, but sure. That too," she said. "As I was saying...we need to find the akuma and capture it."
"Alright, m'lady. After you," Chat Noir said as he made a gesture for Ladybug to go first.
"Come on!" she said, already running. She gestured for Chat Noir to follow. We found the villain. It was shooting blasts at a bunch of innocent people.
Three years later...
Chat Noir's POV
"Man, this akumas just keep getting tougher and tougher," I said.
"Yeah... Are you sure we'll be able to beat this one?" Ladybug asked. "We've been at it for hours on end."
"We will, m'lady," I promised. The truth was, I agreed with her. Would we be able to defeat the akuma? Hawk Moth kept on sending stronger and stronger akumas. They were almost impossible to beat anymore.
"I don't know, Chat. This might be it. We can't defeat this one..." Ladybug said.
"We have to try. We may be exhausted, but we have to keep going until we defeat this villain," I encouraged her.
"I guess so... Yeah, you're right. We have to keep going!" Ladybug said.
"That's the spirit!" I exclaimed. Then the villain shot a blast towards us. We jumped behind a chimney trying to escape the blast.
I glanced over at Ladybug and noticed she had a pained expression. I looked at her forearm and noticed that her suit was ripped. Blood was running down her arm.
"Ladybug!" I exclaimed. "You're hurt!"
"It's fine. We have to defeat the akuma!" Ladybug said.
"No! It's not okay! I don't want what happened last time to happen again! Please, fall back and patch up that cut. You need it. Wait until tomorrow. You can't fight like this," My voice cracked. I didn't want Ladybug getting anymore hurt than she already was.
"No, Chat!" she protested. "I am going to fight this akuma and there is nothing you can do about it!" I was shocked by her words. She really wanted to do this, but I didn't want her to do this. There was something I could do about it, but she wouldn't like it.
"Well... Fine then, but if you injure yourself further, don't blame me," I said. And with that, we ran out to where the akuma was. She shot another blast at us. It hit the side of my neck and I cried out in pain. This was a difficult akuma. A lot harder than any we've ever encountered. This villain keeps getting new powers. It's unlike any we've ever encountered before. The blasts, though, I remembered very clearly.
"You're hurt!" Ladybug exclaimed. She was right. I brought hand up to the left side of my neck. It felt warm and wet. When I brought my hand away, there was blood on my fingers. It was a bad cut. And it probably wasn't fine.
"It's fine. We have to defeat the akuma!" I said.
"No, it isn't fine at all!" Ladybug protested.
"Yes, it is. There's nothing you can do to make me fall back!" I said.
"Oh, yes there is," Ladybug countered.
"Wait... What?" I asked. I was a little nervous about what she would do. She got out a laser pointer.
"No... You wouldn't..." I said, trying to stop her. She knew that I was a lot like a cat. She had used a laser pointer before... Many times... And...it...worked...
"Oh, yes, I would," Ladybug said. She turned it on and the little red light appeared on the ground. I felt an urge to just grab it. I wanted the dot.
I stared at it, trying to resist the urge to lunge for it. The villain stopped trying to kill us. She looked amused by this. She wanted to watch.
Hawk Moth's POV
I wanted those Miraculouses, but I saw Ladybug get a laser pointer out. Chat Noir stared at it like he wanted it. I wanted to see what would happen.
"Stop. I want see what happens," I ordered the villain.
"Yes...Of course," she replied.
Chat Noir's POV
I couldn't stop myself. I lunged for the dot. It moved. Nothing else mattered anymore. It was me versus the dot. I chased it. I continued with this until I realized where I was...
Back to the present...
The villain shot a blast at Ladybug. She let out a cry of pain as it cut her left forearm.
"Ladybug!" I exclaimed. I ran to her side just as another blast was directed at her. I was in the way, however, and the blast cut the side of my neck. I didn't pay much attention to it, though, because all that mattered was Ladybug.
"Chat, you're hurt!" she exclaimed.
"I know. You are too... Will you be okay?" I asked.
"I'll be fine... I just have to take it easy. That's all. Come on!" she replied. She ran to the villain before I could protest. I followed close behind. We continued to fight the villain.
"Do you know where the akuma is?" I asked.
"In one of her gloves. That's where she shoots the blasts from. All we have to do is find out which," Ladybug explained.
"Alright! Cataclysm!" I chanted. I ran to the villain and snatched her glove before she could react. It turned to dust and the akuma flew out.
"No more evil-doing for you little akuma. Time to de-evilise!" Ladybug shouted as she opened her yo-yo, swung it around, and caught the akuma. "Gotcha!" She opened up the yo-yo and the now purified butterfly flew away. "Bye, bye, little butterfly."
"Another battle won," I said. Then my Miraculous beeped.
"You should probably get home..." Ladybug said.
"Yeah..." I replied.
"Bye..." Ladybug said. I went home and cleaned and patched up the cut on the side of my neck. Then I went to bed. I was exhausted from the battle.
