Blind
Ladybug's POV
I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to see none other than the superhero, Chat Noir. He shouldn't have come for me. Now my dream will come true and...and I really don't want that. I don't think he would either.
"What are you doing?" I whispered. "You shouldn't have come for me."
"But I did and I'm rescuing you," Chat Noir whispered back.
"Chat-" I started, but was cut off by Chat.
"I'm rescuing you and there is nothing you can do about it. We're gonna defeat Hawkmoth and Paris will be safe again," he explained.
"Well, well, well...looks like a cat has come to save his ladybug," Hawkmoth said. Well, so much for being rescued. I can fight anyways! It's not like I've been immobilized or anything!
"Yes, I have and I'm lea-" Chat Noir said, but I cut him off mid-sentence.
"We are going to take you down Hawkmoth!" I declared with every ounce of confidence I could muster. Chat Noir looked at me with worry in his eyes. I knew he was thinking I couldn't do it. But I knew I could. I wasn't weak or helpless. Okay... Maybe I was a little weaker than before... But I could still defend myself and fight.
Then I remembered my dream I had when I was unconscious. I knew what would happen. And it wasn't good. I didn't even know if we would win or not, but I knew that what was gonna happen was not good.
"We'll see about that..." Hawkmoth challenged. I stood up and Chat Noir tried to keep my down, but I was beyond mad at Hawkmoth for everything he's done. I needed to know his reason. Maybe I- we could convince him to stop his evil ways.
"Why do you do this?" I asked, anger dripping from my words. Hawkmoth looked amused.
"You don't need to understand," he said. "Just to accept." The problem was, I didn't accept it. I also did need to understand. I blinked a few times. I grabbed my yo-yo and got it ready and made it seem like I was gonna use it. I was waiting for the right moment when he least expects it to wrap him up in my magical, indestructible yo-yo.
Hawkmoth looked unfazed. He just stood there, staring us down. It was sort of intimidating. Wait. That was his tactic. Intimidation. He couldn't hurt us. He was weak. He relied on akumatised villains to do his work for him. He was a coward. He couldn't fight two against one. This was gonna be easy.
I released the yo-yo and to my surprise, Hawkmoth caught it. He yanked it away from me and threw it towards me. I dodged it. Chat Noir, however, wasn't so lucky. He tried to dodge the yo-yo, but ended up getting hit in the nose.
"Aw, come on! Not again!" he complained as he brought his hands up to his now bleeding nose. "Why do I keep getting hit in the nose?" I tried to suppress a laugh, but a little snicker escaped.
"Don't laugh at me!" Chat Noir hissed. (A/N: He literally hissed like a cat.😂) That only made me laugh more. Until I saw dagger zip past me and almost cut off Chat Noir's head off. He didn't fail to get hit though. It grazed the side of his neck and he brought his hand to the wound and quickly recoiled and winced when his hand made contact with the cut.
"Chat! Are you alright?" I asked worriedly.
"I'll... I'll be fine..." he replied. I was so distracted with Chat Noir that I didn't notice an incoming dagger. I saw it at the last second and tried to move, but I knew I wasn't fast enough. I moved my arm in front of my face to avoid dying. I felt the dagger impale my arm and screamed. It hurt so bad. To my surprise, it didn't hurt as much after I pulled the dagger back out. There was blood now running down my arm, but at least I was alive.
I had one question, though. Where did Hawkmoth get the daggers? I glanced at him and saw icicles shoot out of his hand. 'Now, this is weirder than weird.' I thought. I dodged the icicles, but tripped and landed on my left arm which was still bleeding from where it had been impaled. It really hurt when I landed on it and I let out a cry of pain.
Chat Noir rushed to my side and brought bandages. 'Where did he get the bandages?' I thought. He wrapped my arm and told me to retreat for a while until the bleeding stops. How was I supposed to know if the bleeding stopped if it's all wrapped up?
"I'm not retreating!" I protested. "I'm helping and there is nothing you can do about it!"
Chat Noir's POV
I watched as Ladybug held her yo-yo in a ready position. I stood up and got in a fighting stance, ready to attack.
Ladybug released the yo-yo, but Hawkmoth caught it and yanked it away from her. He threw it at her, but she dodged it and it came flying towards me. I tried to move out of the way, but the yo-yo hit me square in the nose. I had already gotten hit in the nose earlier and I really didn't need to get hit again.
"Aw, come on! Not again!" I complained as I brought my hands up to my nose, which was now bleeding. "Why do I keep getting hit in the nose?"
I heard Ladybug snicker. It wasn't funny! It really hurt! She was laughing at me!
"Don't laugh at me!" I hissed. Ladybug started laughing more. Then I saw a dagger zip past her and come zooming towards me. I moved out of the way to avoid getting my head chopped off, but the dagger still grazed the right side of my neck. I brought my hand to the wound and recoiled and winced once my hand made contact with the cut.
"Chat! Are you alright?" Ladybug asked, sounding worried. A dagger just slit the side of my neck. Do you think I'm alright?
"I'll... I'll be fine..." I lied. I wasn't gonna be fine. The dagger probably hit an artery or a vain. That results in major blood loss and probable death. My neck was bleeding quire a bit, too.
I noticed an incoming dagger. I was about to warn Ladybug, but she seemed to see it and covered her face with her left arm. My breath hitched when her arm was impaled with the dagger. She screamed and I winced. I hated to see her in pain like this, but there wasn't much I could do...except maybe give her the bandages I brought with me in one of the pockets on my suit just in case.
I unzipped my pocket and brought out the bandages. I heard Ladybug cry out in pain and I rushed to her side and wrapped up her wounded arm, which she had apparently landed on.
"You need to retreat. At least until the bleeding stops. I don't want you getting anymore hurt than you already are," I told her.
"I'm not retreating!" she protested. "I'm helping and there is nothing you can do about it!"
She's so stubborn sometimes! It's so, so...adorable... I love that girl...
"You're gonna retreat whether you like it or not! Now go!" I ordered. She stamped her foot and stayed put.
"No! I'm helping!" Ladybug protested once again. "I won't let a stupid wound get in the way of fighting!"
I'm not gonna win this, am I?
I sighed. "Fine... Let's go!"
We charged into battle and there were icicles, daggers, and many other sharp objects flying through the air. Turns out, Hawkmoth is pretty strong. He kicked me in the nose (*sighs* again with my nose... Why me?) and threw Ladybug against the wall.
She yelped as her head made contact with the wall and fell on the ground and didn't move again. I became very worried and rushed to her side. I tried waking her, but she wouldn't budge. I tried again. And again. And again. Still no response. I started freaking out.
I forgot Hawkmoth was still there and I felt large hands clasp around my throat. I clawed at his hands and tried desperately to breathe. Hawkmoth's grip only tightened around my neck. I could barely breathe and I couldn't think straight. What was I supposed to do? Then I got an idea. I elbowed him in the stomach and felt his grip loosen. I pushed his hands away and gasped for air.
I grabbed my staff and hit him in the head just hard enough to where he would pass out. That would give me time to get Ladybug out of here and form a plan.
I scooped up Ladybug and sprinted out of the huge, dark room and down the stairs. I spotted (A/N: Ha, get it? Spotted?) another door to my right and swung the door open to find a nice room with a bed and dresser and another door leading to what seemed to be a bathroom.
I set Ladybug down on the bed and quickly locked the door. I ran back over to Ladybug and tried to wake her up again. Her eyes slowly fluttered open, but they weren't their normal bright blue color. They were a very pale blue.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
"Wh-why is so dark in here?" Ladybug asked.
"But it isn't dark..." I said.
"Yes, it is. It's pitch black," she said.
"But the lights are on..." I told her.
"No..." she said.
"But-" I stopped as I realized what was going on with Ladybug. "Oh no."
"What?" she asked.
"You're blind," I announced.

Oh yes! I am so evil! That's the end of the chapter y'all. Just kidding.

Tikki's POV (A/N: Bet you didn't see that coming!)
Something didn't feel right. I could tell something was wrong with Marinette. She kept saying she couldn't see. Chat Noir kept telling her that the lights were on. I wondered if it was just his night vision, but that didn't seem very likely. I hoped my suspicions were wrong and what I was thinking wasn't the case. But I was usually right...
"You're blind," I heard Chat Noir say. That just confirms my suspicions. This was not good. Not good at all. I needed to detransform her, but I couldn't until she told me to detransform her or she uses her Lucky Charm. It was hopeless. Marinette was blind and I couldn't do anythi- Wait. I can help her! All I need her to do is de...trans...form... Which isn't gonna happen... Marinette is officially blind.
Plagg's POV (A/N: Bet you knew it was coming!)
Camembert. I wanted Camembert. But I couldn't have it. Not until Adridiot decided to detransform. He was being such an idiot. He needed to help her with her issue! Not just tell her and then expect her to just accept it and not freak out! What is with people these days?
I sure hoped that Tikki was thinking of a plan to help the Marinette girl (and yes, I know she's Marinette. Don't ask.) I would never admit it, but I loved Tikki more than I loved Camembert and that's saying a lot because I really love Camembert. I love Tikki so much that I'm married to her. (Yes, I'm married. You didn't know that?) I just hoped she could come up with a way to heal Marinette without deteansforming her and then transforming her again soon. Or else... Marinette would be blind forever.
