Toya had managed to successfully infiltrate the Asylum and get Tira out without much fuss. He'd run into one older orderly patrolling but he'd managed to sneak up on him from behind and knock him out with one swift hit. He used fire as a distraction near the guard towers and with everyone distracted was easily able to get Tira out through the back and escape into the forest. He carried her to a train station and took the first train away from the city he could find. He threw his mobile device away in the woods behind the asylum knowing his father would get distracted with the GPS tracking and it would serve as a decent enough distraction for them to get further away.

He hopped another train at the next train station heading toward the rural countryside. At about four in the morning they arrived in some small rural town out in the mountains. Toya looked for a local to ask if there was a hotel. He found a kind old farmer who informed him there wasn't a hotel in town but there was one in the next town over. He offered to drive them a few miles to the nearest lodging, a rural bed and breakfast as it was on the way to his home. Toya agreed and thanked the farmer.

On the drive, the farmer had the radio on to listen for weather updates for his crops. He asked a few standard questions where were they from, what were they doing out here. Toya answered them all fairly vaguely, enough to answer his questions but reveal nothing personal about them. The old farmer talked to talk for a little while and told him about various problems he'd been having with his truck so far. It was overheating and had overheated last week to the point an engine fire had started, he'd supposedly gotten it fixed but he was worried about the mechanic who had done it. As they hit the open road and it looked like there was nothing around for miles, a breaking news announcement came over the radio.

"Police are looking for two missing persons, both twenty-one years of age, a young man with crimson hair last seen wearing a pair of dark jeans, a dark grey sweatshirt and a young woman with white hair last seen wearing a blue nightshirt. Police ask anyone who has seen the missing persons to please alert the anonymous tip line with any information."

The farmer stiffened and chanced a glance at his passengers to the feeble white-haired girl in the pale blue nightshirt who'd been sound asleep the entire time before looking to the crimson haired young man wearing the same outfit the radio announcer had just described. Toya shifted a sleeping Tira in his arms. Something inside of Toya snapped, if the farmer called in, they could get caught and Tira would be taken away from him again and people would end up hurting her all over again.

As the farmer reached for his mobile device, Toya calmly grabbed him by the wrist, "I wouldn't do that if I were you." His voice was eerily calm and steady. He didn't want to disturb Tira's slumber.

"I think it would be best if you two went on your way." The farmer slowed his truck to a stop along the side of the road.

Toya stepped out of the car with Tira in his arms and took a step back as the farmer reached over to close the door. He saw the older gentlemen reach for his mobile device again as he began to drive. Panic gripped Toya, he couldn't let Tira go back, she was wasting away to nothing. Something inside of him raged, the farmer was a danger to her. He cast out his hand and activated his quirk. Blue flames leapt from the palm of his hand and quickly engulfed the truck. The flames didn't take long to reach the gas tank and the engine.

The truck exploded in a flurry of red blue and orange flames. Toya felt something akin to remorse, the farmer had seemed nice. Nice or not, he couldn't let anyone put Tira at risk. She would always come first. He glanced down at his sleeping sister, she was still sound asleep. She snuggled closer to him in her sleep. His lips pulled into a smile as he saw the peaceful look on her face. Holding her close, Toya walked in the direction they'd been heading. He passed by the truck; it was now consumed in plain fire that had engulfed his flames when the truck exploded.

In the driver seat was the charred corpse of the farmer slumped over the steering wheel. All of his skin had been burned off, the mobile device in his hand looked mostly melted and no longer functional. Toya kept walking along the road in the direction they'd been going.

He reached the outskirts of a small town before the sun had risen. Thinking back on the radio broadcast he frowned. It wouldn't be wise to be seen by anyone else. He glanced around and saw a trail leading to the mountain. It appeared to go to a run-down shrine that had fallen into disrepair.

"Toya." Tira breathed softly in her sleep as a single tear slipped from her hold.

He shifted her sleeping form in his arms squeezing her tight, "I'm here."

After a short hike he reached what appeared to be an abandoned shrine. From the looks of the graffiti on the outside he concluded it wasn't used very often. It wasn't the kind of accommodation he'd wanted to get her to but he couldn't risk being seen and having Tira taken away from him.

He stepped into the main shrine building and found a clean corner to sit down and rest. Placing Tira on his lap so she wouldn't have to touch the dirty floor, Toya relaxed with her in his arms. He kissed the top of her head and let his eyes drift closed.

Toya woke at sometime in the afternoon. Tira was still sound asleep in his arms. The dark circles around her eyes had faded away as she managed to get a peaceful night of sleep. Shifting her slightly so he could stretch out some of his aching muscles, Toya smiled softly to himself as Tira mumbled something incoherent in her sleep and tried to cling to him.

"Hey, are you planning on sleeping all day?" He gently smoothed her frosty white hair back.

Tira's steel grey eyes fluttered open. A soft yawn escaped her and she rubbed the sleep from her eyes before glancing around curiously at their surroundings. Her body relaxed as she turned her head slightly and looked at Toya. Tears welled in her eyes and she threw her arms around him with a cry as if she were relieved. He had a feeling she thought it had all been a dream and it made his heart hurt. How often would she wake up and panic thinking she was back in that hell and her escape had been a dream?

She cried quietly in his arms. He rocked her gently and rubbed her back in an attempt to comfort her. Once she'd finally calmed down, he held her at an arm's length away and wiped away her tears.

"Sorry for being late." Toya said quietly as he dried her tears.

A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she stopped her crying, "you were right on time."

Toya tenderly caressed her pale thin cheek catching the final tear that slipped from her hold. "Tell me what happened. Your call for help was quite alarming."

Tira withdrew slightly, she knew if she told him, he'd get angry. She didn't want him to act on that anger and do something he regretted. "It doesn't matter anymore." Her throat hurt she was using muscles she hadn't used in years. She winced and rubbed her neck.

Toya caught her hand in his and leaned forward. He kissed the sore spots on her neck and held back a laugh as her cheeks turned a bright shade of scarlet, an adorable squeak escaped her and she tried to scoot away from him.

"Why did you do that?" She asked red faced.

Toya smiled, "does it feel any better?"

               Her blush spread, "I g-guess."

He bit his lip to keep from smiling again sensing she was about to get flustered and start swatting at him if he teased her any further, "then there you have it."

Tira thought for a moment and touched her fingers to her lips, "and last night?"

Toya gave her a gentle pat on the head, "that was because I love you."

Tira's cheeks reddened again and she pursed her lips in an adorable pout, "I knew that already but you've never kissed me like that before." She was overcome with embarrassment. The exception being when he had a fever but otherwise their kisses were that of siblings, completely innocent. The kiss last night didn't feel like that.

"I'll tell you, if you tell me." He smirked.

               "Huh?"

"Tell me what happened." He indicated the bruising on her arms.

Tira hesitated. After a long pause she decided to tell him. "Someone new started working the nightshift...there was a storm a few nights ago...when the power went out, he came into my room..." She paused as she realized Toya's body had tensed.  She could practically see the rage rolling off of him as if it were about to take a physical form.

"What did he do?" His body was shaking with rage.

               Tira tensed. "I'm afraid."

"Of what?" Toya felt a tug at his heart strings.

"How angry you'll be if I tell you anything more." She said softly.

Toya got to his feet and pulled her up with him before wrapping his arms around her, holding her tight, "you never have to be afraid of me-."

"I'm not afraid of you, I'm afraid for you." Tira breathed. "I'd never be afraid of you Nii-chan."

Toya looked down at her curiously, "what do you mean?"

"What if I tell you and you get so angry you do something you can't take back and then you regret it for the rest of your life?" She cried.

Toya cupped her face in his hands and pulled her gaze to his, "that's not something you need to worry about. I'd never regret something I did if I did it for you."

Tira felt her breath hitch in her throat at this, "but-." She cut off with a gasp as Toya leaned forward and pressed his lips to hers.

Once again, her body filled with warmth. She didn't know why but she couldn't seem to feel anything except for Toya's touch. Her body was numb to everything but him. Tira froze up unsure of what to do, this was wrong. They shouldn't be doing it, but no matter how much she tried to protest in her mind, her body wouldn't resist or push him away.

Toya pulled back and looked down at her endearing blush with a teasing smile, "if it displeases you, I won't do it again."

Tira blushed again and bowed her head hiding her face behind her long sheets of silken white hair.

"Does it displease you?" Toya asked with a knowing smile.

               Tira shook her head.

"Good." He smiled and ruffled her hair affectionately, "will you please tell me the rest."

Tira nodded before bowing her head as if she were ashamed, "I woke up to find him laying over me, holding me down-." She cut off with a gasp as she sensed a dark murderous rage from Toya.

"What's his name?" Toya's voice sounded somewhat strange.

Tira met his gaze and a tiny squeak escaped her, Toya was livid, "I-I don't know."

"Did he-?" Toya couldn't finish his question.

Tira shook her head, "no...I lost control of my quirk and he ran away, the power came back on after that..."

It didn't matter if he'd succeeded or not, his intentions were enough to condemn him. Toya noticed Tira was growing increasingly upset the more murderous and violent his thoughts had become. He calmed himself and slowly extended a hand to her. She didn't hesitate to take it.

"Sorry for scaring you." He breathed softly as he held her close. He'd see to it that orderly paid for what he'd done. For daring to put his hands on Tira, his death would be slow and agonizing. But first he needed to find them a suitable place to stay and lie low, find them some new clothes and most importantly find something for them to eat. Punishing her tormentor would have to wait until he made sure she was comfortable and safe.
