Day 4 No Name

Zane had plenty to go through. All twenty files and each ones history was simply fascinating and...horrifying for some.

Some were just randomly found upon. Some were called upon by family and strangers. Some committed heinous acts they were transferred all around until they got here. Never to leave again.

Some containments did jack-shit and they got found out and dragged in here without care or thought.

It was not going to be fun to talk to Containment 5, the snake girl. Brooks had mentioned she barely ever surfaced and from what Zane could read on her file...she had only ever been out of her quarters a handful of times since she was brought in here in 1990.

Yeah, he was no throwing himself in a literal snake pen.

Maybe there were other ways to communicate with her then.

The soldiers had made a list of who had escaped their pens that night but Sybil was hidden in an orgy of writhing scaly masses. It would be impossible to tell if she left or not. Snakes were deceptive and hidden.

No one could see blood hidden in there if she did kill Greeves.

Slapping the file down when his intercom buzzed.

"Containment 20 is here."

"Bring them in." Zane took a heavy breath, opening his laptop up with a click, the screen lighting up to his word docs where his notes for his next patient was too start. No Name.

They gave her no name and therefore that stuck. Or Succubus. Delightful. Wonder what the implication was there?

The door opened and two soldiers came in with No Name between them. The mouth lock still placed over her, keeping her silent and Zane groaned.

"For God's sake. I can't actually talk to my patients if they can't talk back."

"But sir-"

"Off. Now."

The soldier closest had a specialty key that released the jaw clamp with a mechanical click and release and dropped in his hands. No Name opened and closed her jaw numerously, stretching her jaw out, cracking her neck as well.

"You may go now." Despite the soldiers obvious reservations, they left at Zane's beckoning. Zane glanced at No Name who didn't seem to mind her new surroundings and just sat there like a prim little doll. Hands folded primly in her lap and that too wide smile, all teeth, and her eyes too wide for such a smile as she stared at him or through him he couldn't tell.

"What's your name if I may ask?"

She didn't reply. Just casually, if not creepily, tilted her head ever so slowly sideways, never taking her unblinking eyes off him.

"Shall I call you No then. Or Noah. Or Noelle." She blinked suddenly at the last name and he smirked, rolling his pen in his fingers. "Noelle, huh. Well, it's nice to meet you Noelle."

"Not for you it isn't." Noelle replied, her grin never dropping but her eyes became lit and less joyful. "It won't be nice at all."

"Well, I'm hoping to get to know you all."

"For such a job, you would put your life on the line."

"Am I putting my life on the line? Are you going to try and kill me?" Noelle didn't answer but her eyes lit up with a smile again as she looked at me with her head tilted sideways.

"And I look forward to it, Sam."
