Containment List

Following Brook's down the corridor until we reached the elevators. Inside the elevators, Brook's took out a black card with some silver design on it and swiped it over the elevator scanner and pressed the button with the letter 'C'.

The elevator went down past the third floor with the large mess hall and under ground completely. The door stopped with a lurch, my arms twitching slightly as I held the box of files in my hands. The elevator doors opened with a hiss and we exited and into a very clinical, clean corridor. It was like one of those clean rooms with completely nothing, white walls and floors, camera's at every corner, watching ones movements. Brook's walked first through a scanner and I followed once cleared. Brook's turned to one of the soldiers.

"Can we bring in Rory please?" The soldier turned to the radio murmuring quietly, while I waited beside Brook's, glancing at him questioningly. Brook's smirked quietly. "Just so you don't have to carry that box around."

Not even five minutes later, a youngish fella appeared around the corner with a waist high trolley he pushed towards us. A trolley big enough to settle the heavy box of files on.

"Thanks' Rory."

"No problem, sir." Rory looked to be mid to late 30's, with a military shave of brown hair. His eyes were unnervingly bright, a hazel colour. He had a few scars across his face and neck and along his forearms. He wore a simple, pale blue sweater with the sleeves rolled up, and some dark jeans. He wasn't dressed a worker, despite his age he seemed quite timid, like an adolescent. He had a lanyard around his neck, with a tag that had a photo him and name and such.

"Rory, this Doctor Sam Zane." Brook's gestured to me. "He's here to assist and help us figure out what happened to Greeves." I held out my hand.

"Pleasure to be here." I nodded professionally, even though Rory didn't keep his eyes still, only looking me in the eyes as he clasped my hand back and shook it.

"Goodluck is all I'll say to you." Rory gave a slight shrug, before turning to the trolley. "We start in order sir?" Brook's nodded then followed Rory down the hall with me beside him and we turned the corner.

"How are their cells kept?" I asked.

"Cells are large, decent sizing for them. We try to minimize discomfort at the very least. We have thick, plane glass between them and us. Camera's on 24/7."

"Even on bathroom breaks?" Brook's grimaced as if he was dreading this question.

"We do, though we do blur out the particulars. We've had them act out, so it's in our best interest to keep an eye on them. If they act out in their cells, we have chloroform to slow them down."

I really wanted to say something about that, but Rory reached into the box and pulled out the first file and handed it to me, with a slight smirk as we came to a large windowed room. Which was completely dark.

"Containment 1 Doc." Rory sighed as we stared into a room completely swallowed in absolute darkness.
