no.

i am simply pointing out the fact

that the racial rift exists.

our people do not "fall through the cracks".

they are eaten by that rift.

when our own 

fall prey to that chasms, man-mad pit,

when we tell the stories of those

who were sacrificed to that deep darkness

we acknowledge the existence of that rift,

because rather than build simply suspension bridges to the other side,

made with delicate ropes of complacency 

that snap at the slightest of tension,

we are taking the steps 

to close the gap entirely.
