why do you think
we are raised to be
submissive?
trained to live
under the thumb of man?

woman,
her strength,
and her ability
to do anything
he possibly could,
has always been.
we have raised the world,
we reap and sow
the crop of humanity.

and like any autocrat,
man fills the world with messages
that we are less than.
that we are nothing without him.
but realize one thing
if nothing else.

an oppressor
never seeks to subjugate
that which he does not fear.
