Holy Earth is the terrorist organisation that has risen to dominance on Earth, mostly drawing followers from people vulnerable to indoctrination. The group is highly militant and having focused for almost twenty years on planting agents in positions of influence, especially the police forces and military, have been able to thwart most investigations into their operations.

They have a political wing, called Sacred Earth which denies any links to its parent group. Investigations into the relationship between the two organisations have failed to prove a link but the direct relationship is common knowledge.

The organisation's protest revolves almost entirely around the issue of space exploration and all off-world activity and how it must be stopped. Their members are from a variety of religions, normally highly orthodox but not what would have been called extremists. This allows them to work together as a cross-religion organisation and makes them more appealing to potential members.

Their ultimate aim is to restrict the whole of mankind to the surface of Earth and put a permanent end to any attempts to fly beyond the atmosphere. They fear that mankind leaving the world that God created for us will anger God and ultimately lead to the destruction of the world and no more souls entering Heaven or Janna.

Sacred Earth's PR department seeks to justify its aim with the following statements:

1) While there is war, starvation and deprivation on Earth, who can justify the huge expenditure on space exploration and colonisation.

2) Other planets do not belong to us, colonising them is simple theft.

3) By spreading throughout the galaxy, the human race will lose cohesion, purpose and its sense of Faith.
