Love is a war that mankind wages.

On through the ages it rages.

Sometimes easy to win the heart

As it is pierced by love's sweet dart.

History shows this on its pages.

Other times when love engages

With a heart it works in stages.

Constructed walls to take apart.

Bitter hearts. It may take ages
