I looked into my mirror and adjusted my scarf before walking out to greet Mami.

"Fadila get that rubber for me from the fridge" Mami yelled.

"Okay" I replied.

"Mami please can I use your car to go gor the interview today?" I handed the plastic rubber over to her.

"Why can't you use a cab as always?" Mami asked.

"Because the company it's kind of far" I grabbed an apple from the fridge.

"Whose company is it?" Mami asked stirring the pot.

"AMS Construction"

"The company that belongs the son of the president? That brat!" Mami hissed.

"Mamiiiii I'm not even going to work for him maybe I'll be working as someone's assistant according to what I applied for though" I shrugged.

"Toh nidai be careful you know all this spoilt brats one single mistake they will want to sack you"

"Mami nawww please now pray for me to finally get a job" I pouted.

"Toh Allah ya bada sa'a I'll go to my bakery later after you're back then" Mami said.

"Okay mami thank you! I love you so much bye" I started walking away.

"Won't you have breakfast?" Mami asked.

"I will eat after I come back home"

"Toh sai anjima Allah ya bada sa'a" Mami said enough for me to hear.

"Amin!" I shouted walking out of our two bedroom bungalow

I'm Fadila Ameen and I'm twenty two,My parents are Late Ameen and Hajiya Hamrah I only have one sibling and her name is Zarah.My father died 5 years ago when Zarah was ten and I was seventeen ever since,Mami took care of the both of us and she opened a Bakery which we all gain alot from and I'm currently looking for a job

I hopped into Mami's Honda Accord and drove off to the company

I stepped out of the car and I came face to face with the huge building

"Wawuu" I muttered under my breath as I locked the car and walked into the building.

Everyone was focusing on what he or she are doing and I already loved the place!

"Excuse me ma'am are you Fadila Ameen?" The receptionist on the front desk asked.

"Yes" I replied.

"Bala! Take her to the manager's office okay?"

"Okay let's go ma'am" We walked away.

He stopped in front of an office and I don't know why I started feeling uneasy.

I walked into the office and the cool air conditioner hit my face making me shiver

"Miss Ameen have a seat please" The guy who looked in his early forties asked.

"T-thank you" I stammered.

We introduced ourselves and the interview started which was kind of easy

"So Miss Ameen from what I can see you're fit for this job" He smiled and I almost shouted in happiness.

"Thank you so much sir" I grinned.

"You're not going to be working for me though you're going to work for Mr Aadil" He said and my eyes were as wide as saucers.

"Y-you mean the b-boss?" I furrowed my brows.

"Yes, don't be scared Miss Ameen he is not that bad but that's if you are close to him" He chuckled.

"Its not possible" I chuckled lightly.

"Okay you can go now and you're going to start tomorrow"

"Okay sir thank you so much bye" I walked out of the room quickly.

What would it be like to work as the CEO's assistant?

From what I know,Aadil is a very arrogant man!

I sighed and strolled out of the building before driving away

"Mami!!" I shouted happily.

"Ya, Did you get the job?" Zarah asked curiously.

"Yes,where is mami?" I asked.

"Alhamdulillah!! Mami has gone to the neighbors anyi haihuwa" Zarah replied.

"Zarah go and tell Mami that I'm back I have to go and freshen up"

I strolled to my and Zarah's room

It has two beds,a vanity with a two wardrobes and a reading table,the room is painted off white and Zarah's side has alot of fashion and make up stuff.
Mine is plain with just a small shelve that contains my novels and other important stuff

I stripped off and immediately jumped into the shower

I was on my towel when Mami walked into the room with a wide smile

"Zarah told me the good news I'm so happy Fadila!" Mami squealed like a teenager.

"And I'm glad that I made you happy" I kissed the back of her hand.

"So what were you given?" Mami asked.

"A secretary" I rolled my eyes.

"But that's a really good job,why are you not happy?"

"Because I'm Aadil's secretary"

Mami chuckled and I looked at her as if she wasn't the one that didn't like Aadil a while ago

"Don't worry my child I know how Aadil is but you shouldn't care at all,you should do whatever he asks you to and don't make a mistake that will lead to you loosing your job and I know that no body is perfect but you have to try okay?"

"Okay Mami" I smiled and stood up.

"Hadiya was here looking for you" Mami said.

"Okay lemme get dressed then I will go to her house" I said.

"Okay I'll drop you off but you'll have to take Zarah with cause she doesn't have Islamiya today"

"Okay Mami" She walked out of the room and I picked out a gown from my wardrobe.

It was a pink and red flowered lace fitted gown

I applied some brown powder,mascara and lip gloss

"Ya Fadila you look so beautiful" Zarah complimented.

"Thanks Zarah you should get ready you're coming with"

"But what would I do there?" Zarah rolled her eyes.

"Zarah! And Mami doesn't want to leave you all alone that's why" I said.

"Okay I'll tell Mami to drop me at my friend's house then"

"Which friend?" I stared at her cause Zarah makes new friends each and everyday which Mami and I don't like at all

"Chill Ya Fadila it's just Munisa oo and you know her"

"Zarah how many friends do I have?" I asked.

"One" She replied.

"Zarah you should be careful with friends wallahi not every friend loves you like you think they do and some friends maybe they just want something from you" I held her face with my two hands

"Okay sis thank you very much" She hugged me.

"Get off me!" I pinched her elbow.

"Yayaaaa you're so mean" She pouted and I slapped her lips.

"Stop hitting my auta" I heard Mami's voice.

"Yes Mami! Tell her" Zarah ran to Mami's side.

"Laaa so you guys are now teaming up against me" I said and my stomach made a very loud growl that made me feel dizzy.

"So Fadila you didn't even eat mtsw stand up and eat" Mami said and we all walked out to the dining room which is beside the living room just seperated with a transparent curtain.

I opened the two coolers and I served my self with the rice and beef stew

"Mami this is amazing! I just realized that I'm so hungry" Zarah said.

"You've said this for the umpteenth time Zarah" I took a sip of the water from my cup.

"Zarah me that I only ate an apple since I woke up" I rolled my eyes.

"Yenyenyenyen" She stuck out her to tongue.

"Mami kinganta ko?"

"Zarah" Mami flashed Zarah a warning glare.

Zarah and I washed dishes and we grabbed our veils before leaving the house.

"Zarah I'll be coming to pick you up by 6pm and once I come,I'll call you make sure you're with your phone!" Mami warned.

"Okay Mami! Bye" She rushed into Munisa's house and we drove off.

"Mami who gave birth wai?" I asked checking through my Instagram with my new iPhone 7 plus

"Nusaiba"

"Nusaiba ta haihu?! Wow I'm really happy for her cause she got married like 3 years ago"

"Nima wallahi"

"Greet Hadiya for me" Mami parked in front of Hadiya's house.

"Toh Mami bye" I waved as Mami drove away and I sauntered into Hadiya's house.

I heard my name being shouted and before I knew it,I was tackled to the ground.

"Woah Hadiya why are you so hyper?" I giggled.

"You fool! Major is coming back from Lagos today shiyasa" She referred to her husband.

"Ohhh so any plans?" I moved further into the house.

"Wallahi nothing fah that's why I even went to your house but you were not around I only met Mami and Zarah" She said.

"Yeah naje interview"

"Did you get a job!?!" She asked curiously.

"No" I sighed sadly.

"Sorry fish! You're going to get a job soon inshaAllah" She kissed my forehead.

"I got a job Hadi!!!" I shouted on top of my voice and jumped on her.

"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! I'm soooooo happy right now I can't believe my fish is going to start working" Hadi jumped happily.

"But why did you have to make me sad like that?" She pouted.

"Quit acting like a kid! I have something to tell you"

"Spillll!" We sat down on the couch

"I got the job in AMS Construction" I sighed.

"Wawuuu! Then why are you sad? You're such a fish wallahi" She chuckled.

"I'm going to work as Aadil's secretary you fool!" I slapped her thigh.

"Aadil's secretary!? Wawuuu you're going to be earning alot babe"

"Stop acting like you don't know what a jerk he is!" I rolled my eyes.

"Yeahhh still wait do you even know what your new boss looks like?" Hadiya asked.

"No and I don't want to! I'll see him tomorrow so what is the use?"

"Come and help me cook for Major" She dragged me to the kitchen and we started cooking immediately.

We prepared Jollof rice,fish pepper soup,grilled veggies,fruit salad and some homemade Chapman

"You're such a great cook fish!" Hadi kissed my cheek.

"Wanna be like chef Fadila?" I winked.

"No!" She stuck out her tongue and I ran after her with a spatula.

We sat down on Hadi's bed checking out something for her to wear

"Okay I like this" I picked out the light green fitted atampa gown.

"And wear this after dinner" I pointed at the sky blue nettish lingerie which looks like it will shatter if you throw it on the floor.

"Okayyyy" She dragged and snatched the lingerie from my hand.

I applied a light make up for her which I learnt from Zarah and she changed into the gown

"You look MashaAllah babe!" I complimented.

"Thank you" She grinned and I looked at my wrist watch

Its already 5:57

"Toh Hadi I have to go Mami will be here at anytime" I picked my handbag.

"Okay Fish, thank you for helping me"

"Stop thanking me Hadi! You're making me feel somehow"

"Aww" She smiled widely.

She walked me out and I saw Mami's car coming towards the gate

Mami and Hadiya exchanged pleasantries and we left afterwards

"Her husband is coming back today so I helped her to cook"

"You're always saying 'her husband' and we will never hear you saying 'my husband'" Mami giggled.

"Mamiiiii" I pouted.

We picked up Zarah and went back home

"Goodnight Mami" Zarah and I chorused.

"Goodnight loves" Mami replied and we sauntered into our room.

Zarah prayed Isha while I read 'Pieces Of Aamirah' by ammarh cause I'm on my period

Zarah hopped on her bed and slept off while I set an alarm to wake me up by 7 in case I don't wake up early cause Mami wakes up by 8

"Goodnight sis" Zarah said in a sleepy voice.

"Goodnight" I replied and switched off the lights leaving the bedside lamps on.

Its me again!!!! And I'm back with another full banger

I'll be dropping chapter 2 tomorrow cause their are some things I have to change

What do you think about this book and the first chapter? I feel so happy right now wallahi cause this book is just on another level and InshaAllah y'all are not going to regret it!
