Talent: Lying | 2
-Morning.
The sun shone through the open curtains with light landing straight on my face, interrupting my sleep. It was already 2pm and I had slept in greatly but it was fine since it was my day off.
Everything felt so peaceful I had almost forgotten about the idiotic decision I made last night. I guess I did promise my mum that I would make her last wish come true no matter how hard it was. It's just marriage with the person I despise most, should be fucking easy.
I picked up my phone from my bedside table, opening it to see any new messages.
*one notification from: Asshole*
Asshole:
Come to the villa I bought last year at 4pm, my parents will come later but I need to give you details on the whole act we're doing today. Look presentable and wear makeup if you can.
"Tch, telling me to wear makeup as if my bare face doesn't get boys chasing after me..."
I rolled my eyes closing my eyes, cursing to myself at the fact my day off was now cancelled. I got up and grabbed a towel to go take a shower.
What I wore:
Makeup:
I grabbed my car keys and sat in my car, ready to drive off to the destination. I stepped out the car as Jimin was standing at the front gate, impatiently tapping his feet.
"Finally." He looked up at me and took my car keys off of me. He threw it at some security guard and told him to park it somewhere else.
"So, I don't really give a fuck on why you agreed to the favour but as I promised I'll give you details on the whole thing." He told me.
"My parents are going leave to go back to the US in exactly 1 month. That's exactly how long you'll need to pretend to be my wife, of course the marriage will have to be real since my parents are the ones registering it. But it'll be private and hidden from the public, my members know about the situation and they are the only people other than us who know about it. They'll also attend the wedding."
"The actual wedding is in 3 days, and according to our fake love story, you and me, got engaged last year." He finished, pulling out a ring.
"Return this at the end of the month, it's a family heirloom." He coldly said after slipping it onto my finger.
"After a couple of months I'll call my parents in the US and tell them we divorced, and that I'm too heartbroken to get married again. That way they'll give up on finding me a fucking wife." He explained.
"I have one condition." I fiddled with my fingers, he sighed and told me to continue.
"I've been your assistant for the past 5 years, and there wasn't a day where I wasn't treated like shit. And no, I'm not gonna ask you to treat me like a human, that's not my style. My condition is, let me treat you like how you treat me until the end of this month." I looked him straight in the eyes.
"Are you dumb-"
"After all I am your fiancé, fake or real doesn't matter. I'm currently saving you from getting married from a stranger, so save your temper for later." I replied, genuinely not understanding where I was finding this confidence to talk back to him.
"Fine." He rolled his eyes as a maid walked in and told us Mr and Mrs Park were here.
"Now remember, my parents are quick witted, they'll realise you aren't really my fiancé if we don't act well." He whispered as his parents sat in front of us.
Jimin's regular cold expression changed completely as he intertwined his hands with mine, smiling warmly at his parents. Feeling extremely uncomfortable with the sudden skinship I tried to force out a smile.
"Shit she's pretty." His mum whispered to her husband, it was loud enough for me to hear. I bowed slightly as we took a seat on the sofa in front of them. "So your name is?"
"Yeseul, Lee Yeseul." I replied, finally adjusting myself to the current situation.
"How long have you guys been dating then?" His dad asked me.
"3 years-"
"5 years-"
We both stared exchanged glares noticing our completely different answers.
"Eh? Is it 5 years or 3 years?" They both raised their eyebrows, Jimin gulped as I chuckled nervously, playfully hitting Jimin on the arm.
"Ah, Minmin-ah, sorry, I forgot it's already been 5 years, time flies when you're in love," I vomited inside my mouth at my cringe worthy words. Jimin looked at me surprised at what I called him but he seemed like he had caught on with what I was going with.
"Ah, my Seul is forgetful." He smiled, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear, I pulled his cheeks in disgust trying to keep up with the act.
"Uhm anyways, your dad's friend called us over so we can't stick around for as long as we wanted." His mum pouted making me smile.
"Ah, and Jimin, we won't be staying in the villa with you guys, newlyweds need space for, things. We wouldn't want to interrupt anything either, so we'll stay in a hotel nearby, but don't worry we'll visit daily." His dad said.
They got up to leave so me and Jimin walked them to the door, they turned around at the door and looked at us both. For some reason both of us took it as they were suspicious of us, so we started acting all romantic again when his mum laughed.
"Okay love birds you can stop now." She said, leaning towards my ear to say something else."Do the rest behind closed doors," she winked.
My eyes shot wide open at her words as the couple chuckled and left. The whole family must be crazy.
"So, Minmin huh? Don't ever call me that again." His fingers cringed, while he rested against the wall behind him.
"Hm, thank you sounds really different coming from your mouth, I saved your ass back there, while you were frozen at the situation I improvised." I spoke my mind, gulping at my own words.
"Thought it'd be hard for you to suddenly act rude towards me but it seems like you've been waiting for this day." He crossed his arms.
"Maybe I have, and you're acting like you didn't call me Seul ever so lovingly." I spoke.
"Hah, don't flatter yourself, it was all part of the act, sorry if I gave you butterflies." He ran his fingers through his hair, making me laugh the loudest I had in days.
"Wow, you've actually learnt how to make jokes, only took you like your entire life."
"I wasn't joking? I'm genuinely apologetic that I made your heart flutter while my heart belongs to someone else." He said, walking back to the living room. I stomped my way behind him in disbelief of his words.
"Look here, Jimin, you're not my type. I like NICE and TALL guys, as you can tell, you're neither of those." I finished, shitting myself inside at his angry glare.
He slowly walked closer to me, managing to tower over me even when I wasn't that short compared to him, I tripped and fell onto the sofa, letting out an ouch. "Don't forget about my condition-"
"Just because I allowed you to act like a bitch, doesn't mean I'll stop acting like an asshole." He coldly said. I hated the feeling of being looked down upon, and that was happening, literally. I took a deep breath and calmly stood up.
I tried to keep myself from punching him in the face, you see I had left in such a hurry I forgot to take calming pills, and god how I wish I was joking. I plopped down back onto the sofa, crossing my legs.
"You know what. Go on, tell me your story." I said, he looked confused while sitting on the table in front of me.
"I don't know I see this scenario in dramas, where the boy is a dickhead and has this whole story about why he is the way he is. Would never have guessed you were just born that way." I sarcastically spoke as he tightly grabbed my wrist pulling me up. He took the other wrist and held it up tightly above my head.
"I might end up hurting you if you continue to act like that," he coldly spoke. "You already are." I groaned, his grip around my wrist was tight as hell, it was like someone had tied up my hands.
"Just leave."
Next day
I had left the villa after the whole 'argument' eh to be honest, I don't think it should be considered that since I was just speaking my genuine feelings- fuck it. I was rude and I don't regret it. The emotions I've piled up for years are finally going to be released thanks to this, marriage.
My wrists still hurt, he didn't have to grab them so hard jeez, they have literal bruises.
Anyways, I went to the hospital after that and told my mum that the wedding was being held sooner than I thought. She was more than excited so at least someone's getting happiness from this stupid wedding.
I got up and took a shower since I was still Jimin's fucking assistant and I needed to go to work since they had another mv shoot today.
What I wore:
I grabbed my purse and a blazer, walking out the house only to realise I had forgot my phone inside. I ran back in to get it, to see a notification from work.
Sejin oppa (manager):
The shoot was cancelled because Namjoon broke the main camera.
"Great, so I got ready for no reason." I sighed, taking off my blazer to plop down onto my bed.
A car started honking outside my house, which was weird because my neighbourhood didn't often have cars go by, forget traffic. I lazily walked outside the door to see a very familiar face.
"Get in loser, we're going shopping."
