Jimin POV
I woke up extra early to make some soup, I didn't feel the best and she was literally half dead the other day. She needed extra care so I searched up a good recipe for a healthy soup.
After I set off to the hospital to spend time with her parents. Her mum just gets weaker and weaker...
"Good morning~ I bought some coffee for the Mr, and some light tea for you." I handed her a cup as we all sat down.
"Son, I have only a couple days before I have to go back to Europe, the company needs me. And you're an adult, a mature adult. You can tell that my wife doesn't have a long time left. If anything happens to her after I'm gone... I hope you know that you're the only family Yeseul will have." Her dad told me.
"Yes of course, I'll stay by her side don't worry about that." I reassured him. We changed the topic into a lighter one.
"When Yeseul first interviewed to be an assistant for an idol I laughed. She hates listening to orders, and being an assistant is exactly that. But I guess weirdly she found joy in helping your busy life." Her mum said.
"She helped me a lot, she made the small things easier for me." I smiled to myself.
"You know she called me every night to complain about her boss being a really big asshole. How was I supposed to know she was describing her lover?" Her dad chuckled, making me awkwardly chuckle along.
"Yeseul's attitude is cute isn't it? She takes after her mother, and that attitude problem is what made me fall for her mum. They've got the personalities."
"You're right, she's quite the woman." I agreed as we noticed the new presence. We all talked for a bit before I had to go to the company building. I keep forgetting I sorta kinda exposed our marriage to the public the other day.
As soon as I entered the agency it felt like there were a billion eyes just staring into my soul. Well I fucked up didn't I...
"Good morning-"
"Not only did you do that, THEY CAUGHT YOUR ASS ON CAMERA." He screamed. Bang PD's quite a fatherly figure to all of us but when he's mad, oh god, it's terrifying.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done something so foolish. I don't know what got into me." I apologised. I've been an idol for 7 years, I know how the industry works so why would I say such a thing in front of public...?
Oh the things that woman makes me wanna do for her...
"There's no going back from this, you have to just confirm everything with an official statement and hope they accept this relationship." He told me. I left his office and started writing to my dear fans.
Hours flew by and I was finally finished writing a detailed letter with my feelings on to my fans. I'd deliver it to the writers so they could fix up any mistakes before publishing it as an official statement.
During the whole time at the agency I didn't receive a single a call from Yeseul, not even a text message. I figured she was busy spending time with her mum so I didn't disturb her. It was around 6pm so I thought I should go back to the hospital to spend more time with them, and then drop her home.
I drove there and walked up to the ward, I had this weird feeling dancing around in my stomach, a very unpleasant type of feeling. I walked inside with a smile only to notice doctors surrounding the bed. They pushed it out as I could just about see one of them holding a clipboard with a paper that stated:
Time of death: 5:26pm
Oh no. My worried eyes quickly scanned the inside of the room to find Yeseul. I spotted her emotionlessly sitting on the corner of the floor, I ran over to her squatting down to be at her level.
"Hey baby, it's ok you're ok, we're gonna get through this together." I gently put my hands on her cheeks, making her look into my eyes.
She was broken. She was confused. She wasn't ok.
"B-but she- she was ok a while a-ago, she was telling me how s-she loves me..."
"I just didn't know I'd lose her this quickly. She went without any warning, her life silently dissolved." She told me. Without hesitation I pulled her into a hug, patting the back of her head as she drenched my shoulder with her tears.
Her dad came in, his expression also as you'd expect. He just lost the love of his life and the mother to his child.
"We're holding the funeral tomorrow, let's go home for now." He spoke out, voice cracking, emotions daring to spill out. I realised Yeseul had cried herself to sleep on my shoulder, I gently picked her up, not wanting to wake her.
We walked down to the parking lot in absolute silence. Her dad sat in the backseat, as I laid Yeseul down so her head could rest on her fathers lap.
I drove ever so smoothly, I couldn't believe what had happened in the span of a couple hours. Instead of driving them to her house, I took them to mine. My parents would be good at comforting her father, and I could lay beside her incase of nightmares.
Once we arrived, I once again took her into my arms, walking up the stairs as my parents came out their room. I quietly explained what had happened, in concern both of them rushed down to see her dad.
I laid her delicate self down in my room, covering her with a blanket. As soon as I was about to go to shut the lights her hand tightly wrapped around my wrist.
"Why are we here...? What about the funeral?" She asked.
"We're holding it tomorrow, now go to bed you've had a long day-"
"So, mum's at the morgue..." she looked down, sighing before throwing away the blanket, rushing her way out the room before I stopped her.
"Where are you going it's almost midnight." I asked.
"YOU GUYS LEFT HER THERE ALL ALONE, she hates being alone... I can't believe you left her there in the darkness amidst all those old dead bodies. I'm going there now-"
"Shush, breathe Yeseul, you aren't going anywhere..." I hushed her as she slowly fell onto her knees.
"I could've sworn I was ready for everything to happen, but seeing her... but seeing her take her last breaths... it fucking hurts Jimin." She cried in my arms.
"But hey." She pulled away and held my cheeks with her trembling warm hands.
"At least I managed to fulfil her last wish." She smiled through the tears, lightly pecking me on the lips before bursting into tears again. She's broken.
"I'm sorry, I can't help the tears..." she choked on her own words making me quickly get up to get a glass of water.
"Don't apologise, I'm here for you." I reassured her. I hated seeing her like this, she looked so, empty. I picked her up and laid her back down onto the bed.
"If you have a nightmare, I'm right here. If you have a panic attack, I'm right here. If you-" she hushed me, faintly smiling.
"I know you'll be here for me." She whispered, before pulling me onto the bed with her.
"When you're next to me I feel safe." She told me, making me get comfortable under the blanket since it was quite cold.
Yeseul POV -Next morning
I woke up to that feeling of sorrow. Jimin wasn't present next to me, so I assumed he was already down for breakfast. I had no energy, I felt so drained first thing in the morning. Laying flat on the bed, I stared blankly up at the wall.
Chatter was heard from behind the door, I sat up and leaned against the bed. The door opened and behind it was Jimin, wearing a black suit.
"Take your time to get ready, we don't have to rush anywhere." He told me, before I could even say anything he flashed a smile and shut the door again. The corners of my lips curved up ever so slightly.
I got up, lazily washing my face before wearing a blank hanbok. Then I walked out, looking down the stairs to see Jimin sitting alone in the living room. I headed down and sat in front of him. He quickly got up and went to the kitchen, coming back with a simple breakfast of toast with some tea.
"You haven't eaten since yesterday morning." He patted my hair.
"I can't." I uttered, not having an appetite whatsoever.
"C'mon, the toasts gonna get cold." He said, he ripped off a bit of it, dipping it into the tea and bringing it towards my mouth.
"It's gonna drip hurry up and open your mouth." He said, making me listen to him. He fed me slowly, weirdly making my eyes well up with tears. He gave me another bite, my hand stopped his hand from moving away after feeding me. I rested his soft hand on my left cheek, tears slid down as I smiled before kissing his hand.
"Thank you. For being by my side, for being by her side before she died, for being by my dad's side."
"I love you Park Jimin."
