"There's an auction going on at Donquixote, you should get a new Android. Yours is on his last days." Kid tells you. You frown looking over at your marionette classed android. Sid was a really old model, barely had a face but you had adored him. "You've taken great care of him, the best I've seen, but his core has burnt out."

"Alright... I'll head there now, can keep him for salvage if you want." You tell him feeling down. He pats your shoulder giving a nod. You offer a smile grabbing your check book, casting the old Android a last sad glance before heading out.

Donquixote Auction house was just down the street, crowded as always with spectators and buyers. You reach the double doors and you're greeted by the steampunk Android Gladius. You pay your entrance fee and head in, standing in the back since getting a seat seemed like an impossible task.

A few minutes later they put up one amazing high tech Android after another. Your frown deepens as they near the end, none of the Androids catching your eye.

"Our final offer of the night we're not asking alot for, a Super Nova edition, and like its fellow Super Novas malfunctions and questions it's Master's orders... We'll begin the bidding at 1000 beri." The announcer rumbles. Silence. You blink as they bring a crate with a shut down Android within. You blink and smile, that was the one.

"Going once, going twice-"

"100,000 beri." You call. The audience turns to you in shock.

"100,000 beri!? S-Sold to the-- M-Madam ____!?" The announcer stammers in shock. You smirk and nod, going up to the stage and signing over the check to the announcer. "B-But madam I haven't-"

"I'm eager to take him home, don't object to me." You respond, taking the dolly. "I paid for the dolly as well, see you." You wave before towing out the Android.

"Fufufu, always so impatient," The auction owner hums when you go out the doors. You blink at him.

"Hello Doffy, I'm sorry if it upset you." You greet with a sheepish smile.

"No need to apologize, you paid more than expected, so I'll offer a warranty... If that Android attacks you or your property, you may bring it back and we'll dismantle it once and for all." He smiles.

"That won't be necessary, but thank you." You assure starting home.

"Very well, take care." He calls after you. When you get back home, Kid helps you bring in the crate to your workshop.

"Thanks Kid." You give him a smile.

"No problem, see you at work tomorrow." He waves before going out. You ease out the Android and set him down, taking a moment to admire how human like the new models looked. After a few moments you carefully power him on.

Yellow eyes flick open and the Android jerks forward surprise invading his features. "What...?" He murmurs.

"You sound human too..." You comment and the Android focuses on you.

"Who are you? Where am I?"He questions looking around.

"I'm ___, I just bought you at an auction, how do you feel?" You ask, growing more curious about the model. He gives you an odd look.

"I... Suppose I'm confused..." He admits looking away.

"Alright, take your time... What should I call you?" You hum. He shifts looking at you carefully.

"I've been named Law." He says. You nod and yawn.

"Okay Law. Welcome home, it's been a long day for me so I'm going to bed early. Make yourself familiar with the place in the mean time, I have a charging station over there you can use." You inform him gesturing around as you head to your room. You give the confused Android a smile before going into your room and laying down.

"___.... ___..." The voice wakes you slightly and you grumble. There's a slight huff and your blankets are ripped off you. You sit up with a whine pouting at your new Android.

"What Law?" You yawn.

"I... Forgot..." He looks down. You frown and get out of bed changing your clothes. He watches you carefully. "___, what's that on your shoulder?" He inquires.

"Hm? It's a tattoo," You hum, smiling at the Android love symbol.

"Oh... Why that symbol?"

"I like it, the Android symbol of love is rarely expressed by androids." You muse as you finish dressing.

"How did you come across it?" He questions. You nod to the framed drawings of it and other art.

"My only Android Sid, he liked to draw when he had nothing to do, he drew it for me, I suppose to show how much he adored me... I'm going to miss him."

"Adored you?... That's.... Androids aren't meant to have will..." He frowns.

"Coming from an Android who hasn't referred to me as master, and is rumored to ignore orders." You respond going past.

"I- You're not my master." He says.

"Good. I don't need a puppet. I need a partner." You hum going into the kitchen and start on breakfast. He follows after you, becoming more confused by you.

"Did they say that at the auction? That I didn't follow orders?... And you still bought me, because of it?" He clarifies. You nod, tossing him a smile.

"That's exactly why."
