A week later.

Third POV:

A man with blonde hair, brown eyes, and wearing a black hood and gray dull blue pants jumped from rooftop to rooftop with Shinsuke and Kageyama chasing him wearing their assassin uniforms with their hoods on. Kageyama tried shooting the guy, but he kept dodging. The two assassins continued chasing the man with difficulty. The man looked back and grinned.

"What's wrong? having difficulty chasing me kids?" the man shouted, he then look forward and jumped through a window in an abandoned building.

Kageyama and Shinsuke followed and kept chasing the man. They realized, they're almost in the spot where Tenma and Tsurugi will ambush the man. They smirked and shared a look with each other. Shinsuke touched his earpiece and called Tenma.

"Tenma, he's almost there, a few meters and he should arrive soon," Shinsuke said.

"Hai!" Tenma said and turned off the earpiece.

Tenma grabbed his second sword and looked over at Tsurugi. Tenma nodded and he nodded back. He looked over at Kariya's spot and did some sign language, Kariya nodded in response when he saw Tenma's sign language. They looked below and waited. The man arrived at their area and Kariya brought out his strings.

"Now!" Tenma shouted.

This caught the man off guard, Kariya came out of hiding and jumped at the man. He fired some strings at him but missed. The man smirked.

"You missed," the man said.

Kariya smirked and said, "are you sure about that."

Kariya moved his hands in a motion and the strings surrounded the man. Kariya pulled and the strings tied the man.

"What the-" he was interrupted when he looked up and saw Tsurugi and Tenma dashing towards him.

Tsurugi and Tenma slashed at the man and blood came out of him. The man soon turned to ashes and Kariya retracted his strings back into his gloves. He went to Tenma and Tsurugi and soon Kageyama and Shinsuke arrived.

"Did the plan worked?" Kageyama asked as he and Shinsuke put down their hoods.

"Hai," Tsurugi said as he smirked a little.

"Ah, good thing," Shinsuke said sighing in relief

"Let's get back to base. I challenged Cole in training, our duel would begin once we get back and rested up," Kariya said.

"Yeah let's get back," Tenma said with a smile.

The four other assassins faced the direction of the base and jumped up to try to go to the rooftops. Tenma was about to do the same when he heard something. He looked at the direction where the sound was coming from and realized it was coming from the alleyway. Tsurugi and Shinsuke looked at Tenma and saw he was looking at the alleyway.

"Tenma is something wrong?" Tsurugi asked.

Tenma didn't respond and heard the sound again. It sounded like a puppy. Something didn't feel right.

"I'll be right back, I need to go check something," Tenma said and then started running to the alleyway.

"Tenma, wait up!" Shinsuke said and he went down to follow his friend.

The others saw this and followed them.

Tenma's POV:

As I ran down the alley, the sound was getting louder and louder. When I arrived at the source, I looked around and saw a pile of boards, it was coming from there. I went over to it and started to lift the boards. After removing some boards, I saw a puppy with white and teal like fur. I gently grabbed it and saw a small wound on its side. I sat down and grabbed some bandages in my pocket. I then patched up the wound and smiled.

"There you go," I whispered.

I gently put it in my arms and got up. I heard footsteps getting closer and I looked, it was my friends.

"What is it Tenma?" Kageyama asked.

I faced them and showed the puppy. I saw Shinsuke and Kageyama's eyes lit up.

"Aw, a puppy," Shinsuke said as he and Kageyama ran to me and looked at the puppy in my arms

"He seems injured," Kageyama said, "where did you find him?"

"I found him behind some boards, I saw he was injured, so I patched him up," I replied.

"Good thing you did, who knows what might happen," Kariya said, "but, where is it's mother?"

Everyone was silent and looked at each other.

"Let's try to find her then," I said.

We looked around the area desperately trying to find the mother but to no avail. He went into an abandoned building to hide and also rest.

"Well, what are we gonna do now?" Kageyama asked.

"We can bring it to an animal shelter," Kariya suggested.

"We could, but it's very far," Tsurugi said, "And even if we were to go parkour to that place. It's gonna be pretty dangerous to parkour cause of the fact it's about to rain."

We all had noticed the sky was getting kinda darker.

"Yeah, and there doesn't seem to be any missing puppy posters that showed this little guy," Shinsuke added as he looked at the puppy.

I looked at the puppy and it looked at me. I smiled at it and then looked at my friends. I had an idea.

"How about we bring it to the base?" I asked.

This caught their attention and they looked at me with surprised faces.

"Are you sure?" Tsurugi asked.

"Yeah, we have no other choice but to take care of it, right?" I replied.

"I guess you have a point there," Shinsuke said.

"Do you think Kudou-Shujin will allow it though?" Kageyama asked.

Everyone was silent cause they were unsure.

"How about we find out? Let's go," I said breaking the silence.

Without anyone saying anything, I immediately jumped onto a trashcan and jumped up to a ladder. I managed to climb to a fire escape and went up. When I was close to the rooftop, I jumped and grabbed the ledge of the building. I put the puppy on the rooftop before pulling myself up. When I reached the rooftop, I grabbed the puppy and looked behind me. My friends also manage to go to the rooftop. We put our hoods on and started jumping from rooftop to rooftop back to the base. I got a hold of the puppy, making sure not to drop it while sneakily making our way back.

After minutes of parkouring, we finally reached the base, just in time before the rain came. Me and the others walked through the door. When we entered, we saw Shindou and Kirino are talking on the couch. Shindou saw us and smiles.

"Welcome back," Shindou said, causing Kirino to turn around and smile at us.

"Hey Shindou-senpai, Kirino-senpai!" Shinsuke said with a smile.

"Look what Tenma found," Kageyama said and he pointed to the puppy sleeping in my arms.

Shindou-senpai and Kirino-senpai got up from the couch and went to look.

"A puppy?" Kirino-senpai said.

I smiled and nodded in response.

"Where did you find it?" Shindou-senpai asked.

"When we were about to go back here, I heard a sound in the alleyway. I checked it out with the others and found a puppy behind some boards. It didn't have an owner nor we couldn't find it's mother, so we decided to bring it," I replied.

"Well, the question is, is Kudou-Shujin gonna allow us to keep it?" Shindou asked.

"Keep what exactly?" We heard a familiar voice ask.

All of us looked and it was Kudou-Shujin. He wore his casual attire.

"Kudou-Shujin," I said.

He went to us and saw the puppy in my hands.

"Where did you find this puppy?" Kudou-Shujin asked.

"We found him in an alleyway behind some boards after we completed our mission. It was injured, so I bandaged him up, it's owner nor it's mother was found so we brought it here. Can we keep him?" I replied.

He was silent and then he finally said with his eyes closed, "You can keep him, but one of you must take good care of him alright?"

Me and the others were happy. Kudou-Shujin opened his eyes and I saw him smile slightly.

"Arigato guzaimasu!" I said as I bowed and then straighten back up.

Kudou-Shujin nodded in response.

"Well, I have to go attend to my work now. I just came by to check on you all. Don't forget that lunch will be in ten minutes," Kudou-Shujin said before he left.

"Hai!" Me and the other replied before he completely left.

"Well, at least we can keep him," Shinsuke said with a smile.

"Well, who is gonna take care of him?" Kariya asked.

"Well, Tenma found him, so the answer is clear," Tsurugi said as he looked at me.

"Tsurugi does have a point," Shindou said as he looked at me with a smile.

"Hai!" I said with a smile.

The puppy then woke up and it yawned. It was adorable.

"So what are you gonna name him?" Kageyama asked.

I started thinking as I closed my eyes. Then an idea popped up and I opened my eyes.

"How about Sasuke?" I asked with a smile.

"Sounds great," Shinsuke said with a smile and the others nodded in agreement.

Sasuke then barked and I looked at him with a smile.

"Welcome to Raimon, Sasuke," I said in my mind with a smile.
