Tenma and his friends went into a fighting stance. Rina brought out her fans, Akane grabbed her device and it turned on and released its blades, Shindou and Aoi brought out mechanical gloves that fire the same projectiles as their staffs, Nishiki reloaded his silent gun, Aoi then handed Tenma a mechanical sword that Otonashi-sensei made, and Echo brought out two knives. Since Tenma, Akane, and Rina were close-ranged assassins, they charged at the guy. Echo tried to slash, but Tenma jumped high and front flipped behind the guy, while Rina backed up. Rina threw one of her fans at Echo, it grazed his face, but it was not over. Tenma catches the fan and threw it back. The fan grazed Echo's arm and Rina catches the fan. Akane charged at the man and slashed, but Echo blocked it. She then kicks Echo and sends him back. Tenma tried to stab Echo in the heart, but Echo moved a little, making Tenma stab Echo in the arm instead. Echo's other arm was now bleeding. Tenma kicked Echo in the back and sent him forward. Rina tried to slash the man but, he did an uppercut and sent Rina back. Rina backflipped and landed on her feet. Tenma charged at the man and tried to slash him while Aoi fires some projectile, but Echo dodges the projectiles and blocked Tenma's sword with his knives. He then kicks Tenma in the leg, causing him to fall. Echo was about to stab Tenma until he saw a purple glow on the corner of his eye, so Echo jumped and a purple projectile passes Tenma and Echo. While Echo was in the air, Aoi fires a blue projectile and it hits Echo. As Echo crashes down, Rina jumps to his level and kicks him downwards, but Echo blocks it with his bloodied up arms. Echo's back hits the ground and he tried to get up. Tenma charged at him and tried to stab Echo in the face, but he dodges it and tried to knock Tenma down by hitting his feet, but Tenma backed up. Echo stands back up, but only for a bullet to miss his head. Nishiki along with Shindou continued to shoot but Echo kept dodging. When Nishiki ran out of bullets and had to reload while Shindou reserved his energy, Echo grinned and he swiftly threw some throwing knives at the two, catching everyone but Tenma by surprise. Tenma immediately reacted, grabbed a nearby empty trashcan, and threw it. The knives stabbed the trash can, saving Nishiki and Shindou from getting knives to the face. Tenma suddenly felt something strange behind him, he turned his head and Echo was there. However Shindou and Aoi both fired projectiles and Echo backs away as he dodges however some projectiles grazed him, saving Tenma from getting stabbed in the back. After Echo landed, Akane appeared behind him and slashed him in the back. When Akane was about to stab him. Echo backflipped and landed back on the ground. He then tried to slash Akane, but Tenma went in front of Akane and blocked the knife. Tenma pushed Echo back and Echo backed up.

*Stop the music*

Echo was huffing as his blood dripped onto the floor.

"Heh, you guys are starting to piss me off," he said.

"Surrender now Echo," Tenma said.

Echo grinned maniacally and said, "heh, you really think I will. This is just the beginning."

Echo brought out another syringe filled with black liquid. The six Raimon assassins' eyes widened. Echo then injected the substance to himself. Echo then fell to the ground and started to scream in pain, he clutched his head and his wounds started to heal. Rina and Tenma charged at him and tried to kill him before anything happens. But then Echo releases a shockwave, sending Tenma and Rina back. Their backs hit against the floor and their friends helped them up.

"What's happening?" Aoi asked.

Echo's hair started to get a shade of black and then he stopped clutching his head. He got up and had his eyes closed. He opened them and his eyes were no longer black, instead, it was blood red. He then grinned maniacally. Shindou then senses the aura around Echo has increased and became more clear to him.

"Now the real fun begins," He said in a scary and dark tone.

"Guys be careful, he's a High leveled Minion," Shindou whispers to them which they heard.

"Wait really..? Guess we'll just have to deal with him quickly," Nishiki whispered back as the whole group gets ready.

Ranks of the Shadow Clan.

1. Shadows - the first strongest group of the Shadow Clan. They can access a form know as Shadow Form, very common appearance changes are their hair color changes to fully black, their eye colors change to blood red while their sclera turns black, and can produce a black substance from their body whenever and form the black substance whatever they want mostly formed as tentacles protruding from the person's back. They are extremely strong, agile, and fast.

2. Shades - the second strongest group of the Shadow Clan. The only appearance changes are their hair turning fully black, their eye color changing to red while their sclera turns black. They are the second strongest, fastest, and more agile, they can also temporarily enhance their abilities.

3. Minions - The third strongest group of the Shadow Clan. They are given a serum that can increase their agility, strength, speed, and abilities. And their appearances change, making their hair have a shade of black and changing their eye color to red for the time being.

4. Trainee - The beginner group of the Shadow Clan.

Each rank also has three levels, Low leveled, Medium leveled, and High leveled.

Back to the battle:

"This won't be good," Rina said as she prepares for what is about to come.

"Heh, guess things just got a bit more interesting," Nishiki said as he reloaded his gun.

Echo brought out his knife and got ready to fight.

In a blink of an eye, Echo was out of sight. The six Raimon assassins looked around and couldn't find him. Suddenly, Echo appeared behind Shindou. Shindou was about to turn around, but Echo hit him in the back of the head hard and knocked him out. The others were shocked and Nishiki aimed his gun and fired. But Echo suddenly disappeared and the bullet missed. Echo appeared in front of Nishiki and grabbed him by the neck. He then threw Nishiki into a trashcan and then the lid closed. Aoi was about to fire her projectiles, but Echo charged at her and was about to stab her. She was about to get stabbed, but Tenma pushed her out of the way and Echo stabbed Tenma's arm. Echo then removed the knife and kicked Tenma. His blood flowed down his arm and the other's eyes widened. Akane charged at the man and tried to slash him. But Echo blocked it and kicked Akane in the gut. He then punched her and she got sent back. She fell on her back and her head hit the floor. Blood was coming out of her forehead. Rina threw both of her fans at Echo, but he reflects them and they got stuck on the wall. As he did that, Rina was in front of him. She tried to kick him in the face, but Echo grabbed her foot and threw her at a wall. Her back banged against the wall and she struggled to get back up. Aoi fired projectiles at Echo, but he dodges them. When he got close, he slashed Aoi at her right arm before kicking her in the gut, causing Aoi to fall on her knees as she clutched her right arm. Echo then kicked her in the jaw and she was now on the ground.

Echo looked at Tenma and was surprised Tenma charged at him with incredible speed. Tenma then tried to slash him, but Echo blocked it with his knife just in time. Echo saw that Tenma's wound was covered with a bandage. Apparently, Tenma had some in his pocket and he wrapped his wound while Echo was distracted. Echo pushed on his knives and made Tenma back up in the process. As Tenma backed up, while still on his feet, he dashes towards Echo. Tenma did a side slashed, but Echo dodges. When Tenma went pass the man a bit, Echo tried to stab him, but then Tenma did a roundhouse kick, knocking the knife out of Echo's hand and then he punched Echo in the gut, sending him back a little bit. Tenma then combo it with a hard punch to the face. Echo backed up with his eyes looking at the floor. When he faced Tenma, he had blood coming out of his mouth. He wiped the blood and grinned. He proceeds to charge at Tenma and tried to stab him, but Tenma dodges it and slashed Echo in the eye. Tenma then grabbed Echo by the neck and threw him at a wall, causing Echo to drop one of his knives. Tenma then kicked up the knife that Echo dropped and caught the handle before throwing it at Echo's arm. While Echo was recovering and struggling to remove the knife, Tenma quickly went to help his friends. He first bandaged the ones that got injured, then he and Akane woke up Shindou, and Aoi and Rina helped Nishiki get out of the trash can. They looked at Echo and he finally managed to remove the knife. He stood up and glared at them. Echo charged at them and Akane and Rina did the same. Echo tried to attack, but Rina blocked it with her fans. Akane then snuck up behind Echo and tried to slash him, but Echo quickly pushed Rina back and blocked Akane's attack, that was a big mistake. Tenma quickly charged at Echo from behind, as Echo looked at him, Akane kicked him hard sending him back. Tenma dashed forward and then he stabbed Echo, his sword pierced through Echo's stomach and Echo coughed out blood. Tenma pulled out his sword as he he slashed before jumping out of the way. Shindou and Aoi then swiftly fired their projectiles at Echo and it hit him. Echo was on the ground and he struggled to get up. He clutched his stomach and he finally stood up. But when he stood up, Nishiki shot Echo's leg, causing Echo to kneel on the ground.

*Stop the music*

He then smirked and started laughing maniacally, confusing the Raimon assassins.

"What's so funny?" Nishiki asked.

Echo stopped and then said, "I got to admit you guys are strong, but I won't let you kill me that easily. Not without me exposing your identities to the public."

Echo then swiftly parkoured up from wall to wall and got on the rooftop. He was still pretty quick despite the injuries that Nishiki narrowly missed when he tried to shoot him.

"After him!" Shindou shouted. He and the others then started jumping from wall to wall to go to the rooftop, giving chase.

When they arrived, they saw Echo parkouring from rooftop to rooftop, trying to get away.

"Nishiki," Shindou said.

"Got it!" Nishiki replied and then aimed his gun.

When he got a clear shot, he fired and shot Echo in the head. As Echo was about to fall onto the roof, he slowly started turning to ashes but not before giving a bit of a smirk, before completely turning to black ash. Tenma then looked around and was relieved no one saw them. Everyone put their weapons away and got ready to return to base. They sneakily parkoured their way to the base without anyone seeing them.

Tenma's POV:

When we got back to the base, we saw Midori-senpai, Kirino-senpai, and Sangoku-senpai. Midori-senpai noticed us and she noticed our injuries. Everyone else turned and saw us.

"What happened, are you guys alright?" Midori-senpai asked as she went to us.

"Yeah, apparently the guy was part of the third group of Shadow Clan," Shindou-senpai explained.

"You guys should go to the doctor's office to get your injuries healed up before they get worse," Kirino-senpai advised.

"Hai, understood Kirino-senpai" I replied.

"I'll bring you guys there," Sangoku-senpai said.

"Arigato gozaimasu," Shindou-senpai said with a smile.

We were brought to the doctor's office and got healed up. Rina wouldn't be fighting for a while cause her ribs got a little cracked, so she would have to stay in bed to recover. Shindou and Nishiki weren't injured that much, but they still needed to rest. Akane didn't get brain damage when she hit her head on the floor, it was just a scratch so she quickly recovered. Aoi's wound wasn't deep so she was fine and she also quickly recovered. As for me, the stab wound was pretty deep, and I sorta lost a lot of blood, so I would have to stay in bed for a few days in order to recover. I was kinda sad that I won't be able to train and had to be bedridden for now, but I was glad my friends made it out alive and that this was a mission accomplished.
