Third POV:

Tenma, Shindou, Nishiki, Aoi, Akane, and Rina wandered around the town searching for their target.

"Where do you think he is?" Aoi asked.

"Probably somewhere they can hide in the shadows," Nishiki said.

"Or maybe they could be in a crowd of people and blending in," Rina said.

"Well, let's hope we will be able to find him before he finds any more victims," Tenma said.

"Yeah, I think its best if we split up to cover more ground," Shindou suggested.

"Yeah, that's a good idea," Akane agreed.

"Alright, Rina, Nishiki you two go west. Aoi and Tenma, you two go east, and me and Akane will continue this road," Shindou said.

"Hai! the five other assassins said and then they went in their respective directions.

Tenma's POV:

I was with Aoi and searching the east for the man. But we still couldn't find any signs of him.

"Do you spot anything, Aoi?" I asked her in a whisper a bit.

"No, I don't see a single sign of him anywhere. What about you? " Aoi whispered back as we both continued to scan the area.

"Me neither," I responded as I shook my head a little while searching still.

"There is so many people around, it definitely will be difficult to find him.. We can head to higher ground, however, its in the middle of the day, so we might get spotted, unless we take an alleyway. I could go scout from above and maybe get a better view, but still! What should I?-" I thought to myself but suddenly, I heard someone.

"Uhm, Tenma," I heard Aoi said, making me snap out of my thoughts.

"What is it Aoi?" I asked, wondering what it was.

"Well, I kinda need to use the restroom for a bit, sorry if this was sudden," Aoi said as she rubbed the back of her head, while smiling sheepishly a little.

"Oh, its fine, I think there is a cafe we can head to, it isn't far and there should be a restroom you could use. Lets go," I replied as I gave a bit of a smile, for a second I thought she spotted our target.

We eventually arrived at the place and Aoi went to use the restroom. I just waited outside of the cafe and kept watch a bit. I leaned back on the wall and looked up at the sky.

"I wonder if the others had any luck finding him," I said in my mind.

I then had my head down and closed my eyes. I opened them and stopped leaning on the wall. I continued waiting and kept watch of the surroundings.

"I wonder what's taking Aoi so long. Is the line long, could explain it cause of the amount of people? I guess I can just wait inside and keep watch through the window, its kinda getting a bit hot here," I said in my mind.

I turned around and was about to walk in the cafe when suddenly I heard footsteps coming towards me fast from behind. I turned around and someone accidentally bumped into me. I fell on the ground and rubbed the back of my head.

"Sorry kid, here let me help you up," I heard a man's voice said as he lends me his hand.

I grabbed it and he helped me up.

"It's alright sir, thanks though-," I said, but when I looked at what the man looked like, I froze in shock a bit. It was him.

The man had the same brown hair and black eyes as the image Otonashi-sensei showed us. He wore a black jacket and a gray t-shirt. He also had dark red pants.

"Are you alright kid?" he asked.

"Uh, y-yeah, thanks again though," I replied with a smile, trying to hide my fear and shock.

I secretly eyed my surroundings and the people seem to not mind us. I had a bad feeling about this. The man also seemed to have looked around a bit and then eyed me.

"Are you alone?" he asked.

"No sir, I'm just waiting for a friend," I said with a smile as I grabbed my phone from my pocket and sent a signal to my friends without him noticing.

"Oh, I see," the man said and then smiled.

"We can talk inside if you want sir, it is getting a bit hot out here after all," I said and he doesn't reply.

But when I turned around and was about to walk, I felt him hold my shoulder, holding me in place. I looked down and saw a knife near my neck. My eyes widened in shock.

"Don't try to scream for help kid, or else I'll slit your throat," the man whispered in a cold and scary tone.

I stayed silent and tried not to panic.

"Why don't you come with me instead?" he said.

"I shouldn't try fighting back, it would cause suspicion. I will just play along for now," I said in my mind.

He brought me into an alleyway and pinned me to a wall.

"I would like to kill you here, but I want to make sure no one sees this," the man said.

I saw him reach into his pocket and put the knife back. He then grabbed something and slightly pulled it out. In one glimpse, I saw it was a syringe. My eyes widened and then he tried to inject me with it, but I used my right hand to grab his arm and then kicked him in the gut, sending him back. After I was free, I side kicked him in the face, causing him to fall and drop the syringe. I went into a fighting stance and looked at him. He chuckled as he slowly got up.

"You got guts kid, I'm quite surprised," the man said, "usually, most people would get injected easily or try to scream for help. Some rarely fought back, but they didn't possess that much strength. But you aren't like them."

I went serious and hoped the others will arrive soon.

"You must be one of those assassins from Raimon, right?" the man as he turned to me. "In that case," he added as he wiped the blood from his mouth, "this will be more fun."

He brought out his knife and charged at me. I got ready for the attack and when he got close, he tried to slash me but I dodged and quickly tried to punch him, but he used his other hand and blocked it. He grabbed my arm and tried to stab me in the head, but I used my other arm and grabbed his. I then tossed him to a wall and his back banged against the wall. He quickly recovered and continued to slash, but I kept dodging. When I saw an opening, I quickly kicked him in the gut and combo it with a punch to the face. He got sent back and he placed his hand on his face. He then smirked and threw his knife at me. It grazed my face and I quickly looked at the knife and it got stuck in a cardboard box behind me. I looked back and I saw him charging at me. I tried to punch him, but he jumped and did a frontflip, he landed behind me. I swiftly looked behind me and I saw him pull out the knife from the box. He then grabbed me and pinned me to the ground. I closed my eyes as my back hit the floor, I quickly opened my eyes and saw him raise his hand with the knife. He then brought down the knife towards my face, but I grabbed his arm and tried to push it back, preventing the knife from stabbing me. I struggled to push his arm back while pinned down. I couldn't move my other arm because he was also holding it in place.

"What's wrong kid, are you struggling?" the man said.

I didn't reply and continued to focus on pushing his arm back. He continued to try and stab me, but I won't let him kill me. As this continued, I was starting to get kinda tired. I then saw him grin.

"Getting tired now huh?" he said as he grinned.

"I'm not sure if I can hold out much longer," I said in my mind, "but I can't just give up here, I won't!"

His knife is slowly getting close to my face and then I closed my eyes.

Suddenly, the guy screamed in pain. I opened my eyes and saw his arm was bleeding. I took the advantage and grabbed him by the neck and threw him to my right. He let go of the knife and landed on his injured arm. I looked at my left and I saw my friends. I was relieved. Nishiki was pointing the gun, it was one of those silent guns, so no gunshot was heard. They ran to me as I got up.

"Sorry we were late, " Nishiki said.

"We received your signal and came as fast as we could," Akane added.

"Are you alright Tenma?" Aoi asked as she checked up on me.

"I'm fine, no worries, glad you guys made it," I replied as I gave a bit of a smile.

"That was a close call," Shindou said and then he looked at the guy, "So this is Kiyoshi Hibiki, or Echo, the ruthless killer and a member of the Shadow Clan."

The man got up and held his arm. He turned to look at us and then smirked.

"So these must be your allies," Echo said and then grinned, "Things just got more fun."

Me and my friends got ready to fight and Echo did the same thing. This time, it's 6 vs 1.
