Tenma's POV:

Keith accepted the deal and the two of us sat down on the chairs. We inserted the coins and pressed start. Keith immediately selected his character and waited for me.

"Good thing the first part of my plan worked, now its time for the showdown, hopefully this goes well. Everything will work put somehow after all," I said in my mind.

"Hope you're ready to lose," the guy with the black and green jacket said.

"So it's your first time right?" Keith asked, "Take your time picking a character, you better choose wisely or you'll meet your demise."

".. Forcing yourself to be someone you're not, won't get you far.." I said, loud enough for only Keith to hear. I saw his expression and he looked surprised a bit, of course he quickly snapped out of it and just focused on his screen.

I looked at the character selection and read their descriptions. I remember Athena mentioning that it's odd that some of the characters relate to us a little. I then saw a character that caught my attention, he has chestnut brown hair but was darker, metallic blue eyes, and black assassin armor with a bit of dullish blue on some parts, and is a dual wielder as well. He is very fast and his strengths are similar to mine in a way.

I smirked and thought to myself, "Found my character."

I selected him and then the map we are gonna battle on is selected. It was in the middle of the night and in a large abandoned building with little to no light.

Third POV:

"His friends say he doesn't know how to play, well then, this should be quick," Keith said in his thoughts, "But, what did he mean by what he said, does he..? No, I should just focus."

The screen showed the outside of the building and then zoomed in to the large room where the characters are. Tenma brought out his two swords and went into a battling position. Keith did the same like his last battle and went into battle position. The countdown started and the Fight screen appeared.

Tenma's HP: 2,000
Keith's HP: 2,000

Tenma charged at Keith and Keith tried to punch him, but Tenma jumped high and landed behind Keith. This surprised him, before he could react, Tenma slashed Keith and combo it with three more slashes, causing Keith to fall back and onto the ground.

Tenma's HP: 2,000
Keith's HP: 1,800

Everyone was surprised, he already dealt two hundred damage. Keith got back up and went into a fighting position. Tenma charged and Keith isn't gonna let the same mistake happen. Keith banged his fist onto the ground causing the area to shake, but Tenma manages to back up, taking less damage than Cole in the last battle.

Tenma's HP: 1,975
Keith's HP: 1,800

Tenma quickly dashes to Keith and tries to slash Keith, but Keith blocked his attack with his metal weapon arms. Keith pushed onto his arms, making Tenma back up. Keith took this opportunity and did a dash punch, dealing damage to Tenma and sending him back.

Tenma's HP: 1,875
Keith's HP: 1,800

Tenma didn't fall down onto the ground and remained on his feet. Tenma then charged at Keith and Keith tried to punch Tenma, but Tenma jumped up and slashed downwards, dealing some damage to Keith. When Tenma landed back on the ground he did combo it with two punches and a kick, causing Keith to get sent back and crash onto the ground.

Keith's HP: 1,710

Keith got back up and went back into a fighting position. Tenma charged thinking he could dodge what he thinks would come, but he was wrong. Keith activated his first ability and boosted his strength and speed. He quickly did a dash punch and hit Tenma, causing Tenma to get sent back and hit a wall, bouncing off a bit. Keith quickly charged at combo it with two punches and a smash, dealing damage to Tenma.

Tenma's HP: 1,370
Keith's HP: 1,710

Keith's first ability is now on cooldown so he backed up and Tenma stood back up. He went into a fighting position and Keith charged at Tenma. Tenma waited until Keith was close and was about to punch him, Tenma jumped up high and dodges Keith attack. Tenma the did a downward slash and hit Keith. He then combo it with three slashes using both of his swords at the same time, dealing massive damage to Keith.

Tenma's HP: 1,370
Keith's HP: 1,010

Keith regained his balance and he clenched his hands into fists. He then did a dash punch and tried to hit Tenma, but Tenma jumped up and front flipped until he landed behind Keith. Tenma tried to back slash, but Keith knew, so he quickly turned to Tenma and punched him, causing Tenma to get sent back. While Tenma was still recovering, Keith did a dash punch and hit Tenma, causing Tenma to hit the wall and slightly bounce off it. Keith quickly combo it with two punched and a kick.

Tenma's HP: 950
Keith's HP: 1,010

Tenma got back up and smirked which made Keith confused. Keith noticed Tenma's mana bar was full and Tenma's third ability was ready, making Keith's eyes widen. Tenma uses his third ability and Tenma's sword glowed. Tenma dashed and slashed Keith. Tenma then did a barrage of slashes at Keith, as this continued, a mini tornado was created, sending Keith flying into the air. When Keith was in the air, the tornado disappeared and Tenma jumped up high to Keith's level. Tenma's swords then glowed brighter and he slashed, launching a very strong gust of wind, at Keith, which is strong enough to knock down every single tree in its path. Tenma landed back down and Keith crashed onto the ground.

Tenma's HP: 950
Keith's HP: 0

*Stop the Theme*

The game over screen appeared and it showed Tenma as the winner.

Everyone was either shocked or surprised by who won, Tenma won the battle. Keith and his friend were left speechless while Tenma's friends were proud and some overjoyed.

"He did it!" Aoi said, being ecstatic.

"Tenma you did it!" Shinsuke said happily as he jump hugged Tenma.

"H-how did you-" one of Keith's friends couldn't complete his sentence cause he was also speechless.

"It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's how you play the game," Tenma said and got up from the chair, "not only that, as long as you had fun playing it with others, it really doesn't matter what the outcome is, we could even learn somethings from it. That is what games are, right?" Tenma added with a smile.

Keith expression seemed like he remembered something.

*Flashback*

When Keith was young, he would get bullied by the other kids, one of the reasons was because he wasn't that great at games and he was considered as weak. He wasn't that good at fighter games, although he loves them, he had an older brother who would play with him and was the leader of the gaming club in his high school. They would fight each other at home to play and Keith would end up loosing. Keith always admired his brother's skill.

"Eeeeh, I lost again," Keith said.

"Don't be upset lil bro, you are close to beating me," His brother said with a smile.

"Yeah, but still, I want to be as good as you," Keith said.

Keith's brother then smiled and said, "Don't be like that, you are already good at this game, with enough practice you can surely beat me one. Not just that, this is just a game, it's just for fun right. Win or lose, what matters is that you did your best."

Keith smiled and said "Hai!"

"Well then, wanna go for another round?" Keith's brother said with a smile.

Keith nodded and the two brothers played.

A few months later, Keith's brother won the gaming tournament with his team and were on their way home on the bus. But, then, something went wrong, the bus lost control, causing it to crash, causing Keith's brother to get in a comma for years. Keith then promised to himself that he will get stronger in gaming for his brother and that he wouldn't let anyone drag him down. When he got better in gaming, his friends would always cheer him on and count on him. They were like his close friends and wouldn't want to fail their expectations or let them down, but as time passed, he noticed his friends would get too prideful and would sometimes look down on others. He didn't like it but doesn't want to argue with his friends or get bullied like before in the past when he was younger, so he would play along but felt bad doing so.

*Flashback End*

"What on earth are you talking about huh?!" the one with the black and white jacket shouted.

"Yeah, who are you to-" the guy with the black and green jacket said but got interrupted.

"Enough guys," Keith said, making everyone surprised and confused.

Keith then stood up from his seat and walked to Tenma.

"Hey, Tenma right?" Keith said.

"Yeah?" Tenma asked.

Keith then smiled and said, "that was a good game, I got to admit. And, thanks for helping me see the error in my ways. I guess I have forgotten what games are meant to be and that it's just about having fun. Thanks again, and, sorry for being a complete jerk and for my friends' behavior. Will you forgive me?"

Keith then held his hand out to shake and Tenma smiled.

"It's alright, we all have had those moments where we forget certain things like the importances and real meanings, or turn a blind eye to it. We all make mistakes after all," Tenma said and held out his hand as well as he smiled a bit.

They then shook each others' hand.

"I'll try to keep that in mind," He said, smiling back.

The two then put their hands down and Keith looked at Cole.

"You're Cole right?" Keith asked.

"Hai!" Cole replied.

"I'm sorry for what was said minutes ago, no hard feelings?" Keith said.

"No hard feelings?! you just reminded hi-" Athena said and then Blaze held Athena's mouth closed.

"Sorry about her, she is like that. Especially to Cole," Blaze said and did a lenny face as he said the last phrase.

"Probably cause she like him," Nishiki said and Athena manages to remove Blazes hand from her mouth.

"You are so dead when we get back Nishiki," Athena said as she glared sending a shiver down Nishiki's spine.

Tenma slightly chuckled at the scene and Keith did the frisk face with a smile (-u-).

"Its alright dude," Cole said to Keith with a smile.

"So, wanna play here every Saturday?" Keith asked with smile.

"Sure thing, if I'm not busy that is," Cole said and grinned.

"Uhm, guys, sorry to ruin the moment, but it's time for us to go back," Shindou said with his phone in his hands.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot," Midori said.

"Well, see ya Keith," Tenma said with a smile.

"Let's fight again someday," Cole said with a smile.

"Yeah, sure thing," Keith replied with a smile.

Tenma and his friends then left the arcade.

"Hey dude, why did you let them go that easily?" one of Keith's friends asked.

"I'll tell you guys on the way back," Keith said as he closed his eyes with a smile.

Back at Tenma and his friends, they went to the alleyway and talked on their way back to base.

"Hey Tenma, just a question," Aoi said, making Tenma look at her with a confused look.

"How did you know the controls and other things with ease even though it's your first time?" Aoi asked.

"Well, I just simply watched you guys play back at base and carefully watched Cole use the controls in the arcade, so I figured it out how to do it. I also observed Keith's movements and find ways to counter them. Just like in assassination, you observe your enemies movements and find any possible ways to counter them," Tenma replied.

"Yeah, Tenma's right about that," Shindou said with a smile.

They all arrived back at base and told what happened. Blaze gave Rina the plushie and thanked him. Tenma then thank Rina again for watching over Sasuke and everything was the same as usual.
