With a groan, you slammed your head onto the desk. "I don't understand!" You whined. "How am I supposed to know how the protagonist feels?"

Asano Gakushu rubbed his temples in an attempt to calm himself down. "(Y/n), the answer is in the text. You just have to search for it and read in between the lines," he patiently explained, then picked up his pencil and leaned in to point out a specific sentence. "Look here. Do you remember what I said about this? 'The young adventurer grinned, his heart pounding against his ribcage as he thought of what to expect'," your boyfriend recited in perfect English. "This sentence is then linked to the word 'exhilarated', down here." He jabbed at another English word that looked like a jumble of letters to you.

Seeing your blank stare, he let out a resigned sigh. "You forgot the meaning of this word, didn't you?" You lowered your gaze and meekly nodded. Tears threatened to prick at your eyes. You knew that if you didn't get at least get a B for your English, you stood absolutely zero chances of getting his father's approval.

You first met Asano at the end of your second year, when you were desperately flipping through your books in a futile attempt to cram everything into your head. You thought sitting under a tree in one of the secluded corners of the prodigious school compound would devoid you of any distraction. At that time, you've only heard rumours of the school's Student Council President, but never really recalled encountering him personally.

That was when he found you at your spot, and totally blew you away.

With his looks.

And snarky attitude.

God, how much you would've given to punch his pretty little face at that time.

Long story short, you spent the rest of your supposedly "self-revision" time quarrelling with the strawberry blond teen because you refused to comply with his request to "move because it's dangerous to be here alone", and ended up spitting some not-so-nice things at each other.

Your first "pleasant" meeting with him eventually lead to more short "conversations" between the two of you. You just couldn't stand his cocky attitude, and how he always seemed to think as if everyone was below him. Just because he's the principal's son doesn't mean that he gets to do anything he likes! He had clearly shown that he disliked you, and things didn't help when you dropped to E-class.

However, a month or so after your first semester started, he began acting weird. You first thought that him appearing when you least expected him to and making your life miserable was nothing unusual, but when you realised that he was the one making coincidences to approach you, you couldn't help but begin to feel something for the strawberry blond male.

Then, one day, out of the blue, he asked you out.

It took some time for you to come to terms that he liked you, an E-class student, and you liked him, the school's number one and son of the principal, but you finally accepted his confession.

From that day, your secret relationship started. You knew he harboured some kind of resentment for the E-class, but the way he was willing to invest so much time on you, even as going so far to offer to teach you, you pushed those doubts into the back of your mind. What you did to attract such a man, you never knew. But you listened to his every word, and began to separate yourself from E-class, rather spending more time with him.

You didn't care. He treated you like a queen, with only rare requests you could do within a blink of an eye.

So now here you were, in his room, getting a hardcore 3-hour tutoring session from your genius of a boyfriend, as he had insisted that his father wasn't going to be home until late, and the reading materials to enforce your analytical skills were at his house. But an hour in, and you're already on the verge of giving up.

So much for 'getting back on your feet'.

Looking at you hunched and at the edge of despair, your boyfriend closed his eyes and let out a breath. "Let's play a game," he promptly announced and dropped his pen.

Bewildered, your head shot back up. "Wha-?" But he had already left the room. You sighed and slumped onto the table, feeling a sense of dejection overcome you. You really were trying your hardest, but your damn brain just couldn't keep up with the textbook and the questions. Korosensei's lessons were helping, but not as much as it did to your peers. You had no choice but to lower your pride and accept your boyfriend's help.

The rustling of a plastic bag and the creaking of the door sounded Asano's return. You languidly straightened yourself, not doing much to conceal your depressed self, but when a bag of goodies was set down on the table your curiosity was peaked.

"You're... hungry?" you poked at the bag, scepticism lacing your question. Asano plopped down on his own chair beside yours. "These are for you, idiot. I said we're going to play a game, and it involves this." Severely baffled now, you could only stare at your genius boyfriend with raised eyebrows.

He ignored your look and proceeded to explain: "Each time you answer an exercise correctly, you get one of these, and I know (brand name) is your favourite." You opened your mouth to rebuke, but he held up a hand to stop you. "I know it probably seems lame, but the point is, I will be the one feeding you." He smirked when your face slowly grew red, knowing you had quite a bit of... dirty thoughts stored up there.

"T-That- it's absurd if you think I'm still a kid," you retorted, but nonetheless picked up your pen and began to tackle the questions with a glint of determination in your eyes. Asano chuckled at your childish irony, and moved in close to supervise you. After 15 minutes, you have miraculously completed the comprehension questions you were stuck on previously.

A little too excited, your hand delved and shuffled through the various plastic wrappers in the bag. To try things out, you pulled out a cube wrapped in red paper before triumphantly handing it to your boyfriend, heart beat accelerating at the things that might happen. Asano merely gave you a sly smile, made a show of slowly unwrapping the chocolate and said: "How would you like me to feed you?"

You tapped your chin, thinking. "Hm... as seductively as you can with your hands." An odd request, but you wanted to put him in a spot tough even for him, indirectly winning his game too. Asano didn't seem to so much as blink an eye at your challenge, in fact his smirk seem to grow.

"Then, close your eyes."

You obeyed, butterflies in your stomach.

You felt his fingers brushing a stray piece of hair away, before trailing down your cheekbones to the curve of your jawline, where he stopped at your chin and tilted your head up gently. His caress travelled up to the corner of your mouth, brushing over your awaiting lips and parting them. Then, you felt his other hand gently resting on your cheek when something prodded at your ajar lips. You opened your mouth just a tad bit wider, enough for him to slip the piece of chocolate in,

along with the tip of his finger.

"Don't worry, it's clean." He interrupted your wild thoughts.

You took that as an invitation and playfully bit down on it. Your tongue licked the tip of his finger to rid of any chocolate stains. You sucked at it lightly before he finally pulled out. Your eyes flew open as you stared at your boyfriend who calmly wiped his finger with a cloth and returned your look. "Yes?"

"I...have never felt so excited eating chocolate," you commented, still a little breathless. Like, holy shit, how can someone feed you chocolate so attractively.

Asano shrugged. "The last part was of your own will. If anything, I am surprised of your... boldness and how you thought to do that." A blush adorned your cheeks and you clamped your lips shut, not willing to tell him where you had seen that from. "I-It was just on an impulse!"

However, Asano was already taking out the next exercise. "I see," he replied absentmindedly, turning away to arrange some books, and maybe it was just your imagination, but were his ears red? You couldn't linger on that long though, as he had already turned back to face you, poker-faced. "Let's do the next one."

When the (worst subject) book was placed in front of you, you could only groan in agony before resuming your hellish tutoring session.

"Say," he suddenly spoke up again. You didn't bother looking at him and began to write , but hummed to show you heard him. "Who is your class teacher, anyway? I have never seen him in person, but I heard that he's new."

You froze momentarily, then tried your best to act casual. "O-Oh, really? I guess Ko- Karasuma-sensei is kinda like a teacher in training, I'm not too clear. Why did you ask though? I realised you're quite keen on knowing about E-class." You tried to switch the topic. It was true, though, as it was not the first time he has enquired you on weird questions about your class.

For a moment there was tensed silence. You purposefully avoided his pensive stare and diligently worked at the questions. Then, a sudden chuckle came from your right, and a hand lightly patted your head. "It's nothing. I was just thinking that your teacher must be really strong to put up with you."

"Hey! That's rude!"

"Ah, you made a mistake on this."

"What? Where?!"

It was another hour when you finally threw your hands up in the air with an ebullient shriek. You had finally managed to conquer one whole exercise without mistake, and that promised reward from Asano again. You gleefully ransacked the plastic bag and fished out a/an (flavour) candy. You handed it to him, who had a strange glint in his violet eyes. This time, he didn't say anything, but tore the wrapper open and popped the sweet into his mouth.

Bewildered, you lunged at him. "Hey-!"

He seized your hands and crashed his lips onto yours. You froze, stunned, and let him dominate you before your brain resumed thinking. Soon, you, too, had wrapped your arms around his neck and tilted your head to match him. You felt his tongue wedge the sweet at the crack between your lips as a silent request, and you eagerly complied. The sweet slid into your mouth, along with his tongue, and soon you both were playfully passing the sweet back and forth, and even after the sweet melted, your lips remain locked in the midst of teeth and tongue clashing.

Neither of you heard the door creaking open.

"Asano-kun."

The icy voice sent chills straight down your spines. Your eyes flew open just as Asano suddenly shoved you away. He bolted up and wheeled around to face the man at the door. The crisp suit and work bag told that he just returned from work, and look on his face spelled anything but good. Sharp violet eyes that reflected his son's moved to meet yours, and you immediately felt a phantom grip of terror.

"Sir," Asano said as he moved as if to shield you. "You didn't say you'll be home this early." Asano Gakuho smiled, but you could obviously tell it was fake. "Oh? I didn't know that my time of return mattered that much to you," he paused dramatically. "And neither did you introduce me this... lovely girl you brought home."

You were paralysed in fear. You couldn't move, even as Asano Gakuho approached the both of you. "Hm? (Y/n)-san, is that you? Asano-kun, you do know that (Y/n)-san here is from the E-class, right?" Despite your situation, you couldn't help but take note of the way they addressed each other albeit they were at home. "Of course, sir," your boyfriend replied calmly, but you noticed the slight waver in his voice.

"Could you please explain your... affairs with her?" He didn't bother hiding the disappointment in his voice, and you internally cringed at the sting. "I believe I taught you better than this."

You were prepared for the criticism, but it still felt like someone had punched you right in the gut. Asano clenched his fist and glared at the man. "She's different-"

"How so?" In an instant the principal's face was merely a few inches away from his. His eyes had a menacing glint to it, threatening his son to rebuke. "How is she different than the rest of the E-class? If so, why is she even there in the first place? Why did you bother to lower yourself to build a relationship with one of them based on..." his lips curled into a merciless smile, "...affection? Since when has that become a weakness? What would everyone else think when they see you do... that with someone from the E-class?" He shook his head, then straightened and shifted his gaze from Asano, who had frozen in place to you. His cruel smirk had morphed into something of false sympathy. "Poor girl. She doesn't even know whether she's getting manipulated by you or not." That sent a jolt to Asano. "I'm not-!"

"Then, can you prove that you're not just getting friendly with her to quench your curiosity on E-class? You have told me many times that you will use no matter what method to get to the bottom of your suspicions, and charming a girl seems very much plausible to me."

"W-What...?" you stuttered, unable to fully process what was going on.

Asano Gakuho sighed. "(Y/n)-san, let me ask you one question: has Asano-kun ever probed you for information on your class?" You frowned. "Well, yes, but-" "(Y/n)-san," he cut you off, tone soft but firm. "Didn't it ever strike you as odd as to why my son is so interested in you or your class? Why did someone like him take an interest in you? Surely you must've questioned this yourself." He then leaned in and whispered: "He wants to know about the alien, and he's going to make you betray your class." When he pulled away, he studied your expression with satisfaction. "I taught Gakushu everything, and I know how he thinks. Now it's up to you to unveil the mist."

Your boyfriend had snapped at his father in reply, but his protest had fallen on deaf ears. It was as if something inside you had awoken. Your memories swirled back to the beginning, when he first confessed to you, and the doubts came flooding back. You were so enraptured that you neglected the possibility of someone like him using you for his own benefits. Without even realising it, you were beginning to dance to his rhythm, frequently letting more truths slip from your tongue whenever he asked you regarding your class, and straying further away from your classmates. The occasional odd questions and faraway look in his face, as if he had something bigger planned in the future; why he decided to court you all a sudden and even appeared near the dilapidated building of E-class: it all made sense now.

"Gakushu," your voice was no more than a whisper. "Is it true? Why you first confessed to me? You were using me to get information on my class? When you told me to trust you?"

For the first time, Asano Gakushu seemed to be at a lost. "(Y/n), it's not like that." He gripped your shoulders. "Don't listen to him. You know how manipulative he is-"

"And you aren't?!" your outburst shocked him. "Prove it to me you're not like him. Tell me the truth!"

Asano faltered at this. His lips moved, but no words formed. When he looked into your watery eyes he felt something in him break. Finally, he lowered his hands and stared at you straight into your eyes. "Yes."

That one word felt like a stab right in your heart. For the next few seconds, you stood there, trembling in sadness and anger. You felt deceived and utterly betrayed, but ultimately disappointed at your own self. You rejected Korosensei's teachings, shunned your classmates and even neglected your own suspicions, all because you willingly allowed yourself to fall at his feet.

In one swift motion, you swiped all your belongings off the table into your open bag, grabbed your own books and brushed past your boyfriend's (now ex) crestfallen silhouette, throwing him a "goodbye", before you hurried out of the room.

"I can show you out," Gakuho politely offered, but the mockery was loud and clear. "No need, thank you," you uttered, and made your way down the stairs to the front door. You didn't want anyone seeing the tears you were holding in.

No one bothered chasing you on the way, even as you slammed the front door shut and ran to the train station with tears streaking down your cheeks.
