Chapter Thirty Five
Oki's Past.
Everyone in Oki's house was either sat on the sofa, a chair or on the floor. Oki sighed as she looked at everyone from the chair she was sat in.
"Are you all sure you want to know? It's nothing exciting." Oki stated as she folded her legs as well as her arms.
"We could always ask Korosensei~!" Suiko said in a sing song voice, making Oki turn slightly pale.
"No! My sister told him everything! Even embarrassing things!" Oki exclaimed as she waved her arms around.
"Well tell us then and you won't have to deal with the embarrassing things being told." Ryoma stated in a bored tone as he looked at the female. Oki groaned ground as she stopped waving her arms around.
"Fine!" She said. "When I was 8, I was in an accident. I was running around and ran onto the road just as a car was coming. The next thing I knew, I was in a room I have never seen before..." Oki began to explain.
"W-where am I?" Emi asked weakly.
"Emi! You're awake! Thank goodness!" Emi's older sister, Oki, said.
"Oki-Nee..." She said.
"You ran in front of a car! What were you thinking?!" A woman with bright blue eyes and bright blue hair raged.
"Was that your mum?" Sumire asked as she looked at Oki with a sympathetic look in her eyes.
"Mhm. She wasn't worried. She was angry." Oki said as she nodded her head, staying calm as she spoke.
"Why?" Saika asked.
"My parents... Are perfectionists. They want their children to be perfect like them." Oki explained as she looked down, remembering her past.
"You stupid child! Now look at you! Covered in bandages!" A man with light brown hair and brown eyes raged.
"Mother, father, don't yell at her! She's only a kid!" Oki shouted.
"Why can't you be more responsible like your siblings?!" Mr Ruka shouted. Tears fell down Emi's cheeks, but she could blink them away. She couldn't speak anymore. She couldn't move anymore.
"I...Can't...speak..." Emi thought.
"I fell unconsious again. I don't know what happened after that, but I remember waking up to my sister crying..." Oki said.
"O-O-Oki-n-n-nee?" Emi questioned.
"Emi! Thank goodness!" Oki cried.
"W-w-why are you crying?" Emi asked. She looked down at herself and saw her entire body in a cast.
"The accident did a lot worse than what we thought... You might be paralyzed." Oki cried as the tears stained her cheeks.
"I didn't understand what she meant at first, but then I realized what was going on. I wouldn't be able to do anything." Oki said.
"So that's why you're so short?" Ichirin asked.
"6 centimeters!" Oki shouted and Ichirin giggled.
"What happened after that?" Amaya asked.
"After a few years, I was in a wheel chair. I had movement in my upper body, but it was very weak. I was around 12 when my sister made the pill."
"Emi!" Oki shouted as she ran into a small white room. Emi was sat in her wheel chair, watching TV. Emi looked at her older sister, who held a pill in her hands.
"What's that?" Emi asked.
"Try this." Oki said. Emi just blinked and took the pill, not questioning her sister. She got a glass of water and drank the pill down with water. Emi coughed a few times. "Are you ok?" Oki asked. Emi began to breathe heavily and then began to cry.
"I-it hurts! It hurts! Oki-Nee! Stop it! Stop the hurting!" Emi cried.
"Was it really that painful?" Kirara asked. Oki shivered.
"I felt like my limbs and bones were stretching." She said. "After that, I remember waking up in my bed. I sat up and turned my body to get up. I stretched out for my wheel chair, but I fell over in the process because it was too far away. I then got up. I was in shock. I moved around a little and then I began to run around and found that I was really fast. I also found that I was strong when I picked up my bed with one hand. I didn't know what to think until I remembered the pill. That's when my sister came to me and found out that the pill she created worked." Oki explained.
"Why was your sister making that pill?" Suiko asked as she tilted her head, looking at her friend in confusion as she placed her finger on her chin. Oki smiled slightly as she thought about her sister. She looked at her friends and scratched the back of her neck with a happy look in her eyes.
"She was a scientist who worked in medicine before. She wanted to try and help people who are physically weak to the point of bed ridden."
"Did she help many people?" Masayoshi asked as he looked at the female. Oki shook her head as she looked down, her happy look disappearing and being replaced with a sad one.
"She didn't get a chance too. She died a year after."
"How did she die?" Suiko asked. Oki's hands began to shake as she looked down, tears threatening to fall. "I don't want to talk about it..." Oki said as she blinked away all of her tears. Amaya nodded her head, understanding and respecting Oki's answer. "That's fine." She said. Saika then agreed.
"If it's a sensitive topic, speak about it with us when you feel like you can share." Saika said. "Thanks..." Oki said.
"Now. To business." Suiko said as she crossed her arms. "Business?" Everyone questioned as they looked at the female in confusion. "I really need some sports photos for my project. Could you give a girl a hand Oki?" Suiko asked as she looked at Oki with a hopeful look in her eyes. "Sure. How about Sunday?" Oki asked with a smile on her face. "Perfect! Thanks!" Suiko said.
"Oh. How's Aina doing?" Oki suddenly asked as she hit her fist into the pale of her hand.
"She's doing fine. She sent me a text earlier saying the doctors said she might be allowed in school on Friday." Ichirin explained, which made Oki sigh in relief as she placed her hand over her heart. "That's good."
The Next day... September 17th
After that night, everyone was back in R-Class the next day... Well everyone except for Aina, Katsu and Akashi since the two males were still skipping school to keep an eye on Aina in the hospital.
"Is it ok for them two to skip school?" Yukiko asked as she looked at the empty desks with worry in her eyes. "They've been coming in and getting work from Tristan-Sensei I believe." Saika explained as she walked past Yukiko to go to her desk "Ohayo Sai-Chan." Yukiko greeted with a smile. "Ohayo Yuki-Chan." Saika responded with a smile. The female then stopped walking and smiling when she saw Aria, Jasmine, and Akihito at their desks, sleeping. "What's wrong with them?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"They helped Iza-Chan out remember?" Ichirin asked as she looked at the three sleeping troublemakers. "Oh yeah." Saika said. The door then opened and a yawning Yuzuru walked through with Izayoi, who seemed perfectly fine. Yuzuru had dark circles under her eyes and her hair looked messier than usual.
"How are you not tired?" Yuzuru asked with another yawn as she looked at Izayoi, the two walking in together. "A few hours sleep is all I need." Izayoi responded straight forwardly. Yuzuru then sighed as she left Izayoi to go to her own desk. After a few more minutes, everyone else were in the classroom and soon, Korosensei answered.
"Good morning class." He said. He looked at Akihito, Jasmine and Aria. "Akihito! Jasmine! Aria! Wake up this instant!" He ordered. Jasmine just pulled out a gun and shot at him. Korosensei dodged it. Aria then lifted her head up from her desk with some drool down her chin.
"Next time, you go help Izayoi at the cafe." She said before hitting her head on the desk.
"I see everyone but Katsu, Akashi and Aina are here. That's good." He said. "Did anyone learn anything today?" Korosensei asked. The students got up and walked to him.
"What do you mean?" Rio asked.
"I'm mainly aiming this at Izayoi. Did you learn anything?" He asked.
"Yeah. I did." She said. Everyone looked at her as she smiled. "I learned I have friends I can depend on." She said. R-Class flinched back.
"Y-Y-You smiled!" Yuudai exclaimed.
"Are you ill?!" Rei exclaimed. Izayoi stopped smiling as she frowned at her classmates.
"S-shut up!" She shouted.
"The tsundere act is really hot! Nice one Iza!" Akito said with thumbs up, his tongue sticking to the side of his mouth as he looked at Izayoi. Taiga was standing beside Akito and did the same thing as the red. The female had a tick mark leave her head as a shadow formed over her eyes.
"You're going to get hit." Ayato warned with a sigh leaving his lips as he folded his arms. "You're going to hit me again?!" Akito exclaimed as he flinched away from his brother. Taiga put his tongue back in his mouth and looked at Ayato, who shook his head. "Not me." Ayato said. Suddenly Akito and Taiga were punched on the heads by Izayoi, who then stormed to her seat with veins popping out of her fists and head. "By her." Ayato said.
"You could have said that earlier." Taiga said with a groan as he placed his hands on his head. The students and Korosensei began to laugh at the two perverts who were crying in pain. Just then, everyone's attention was taken away by Tristan.
"Well, you all seem back to your usual selves." Tristan said as he leaned beside the door frame, arms folded as he looked at his class. "Tristan-Sensei!" They said.
"Hey! Where were you yesterday?! We had poetry and you didn't even turn up!" Saika exclaimed as she pointed her finger at the male teacher, rising from her seat with one hand slammed on her desk.
"I don't like being around you all when you're grumpy. No hard feelings right?" Tristan asked as he closed his eyes, which showed he was giving everyone a close eye smile. "Yeah right! We got stuck with Miss Bitch! She was bitching at us all for no reason!" Hayato exclaimed with veins popping out of the usually calm blonde's head. "Is that the time?" Tristan asked with a sweat drop. Smoke appeared where he was stood. Once it disappeared, Tristan was gone.
"He hasn't gotten away with it just yet." Ayato said as he ran out. All the boys but Ai, Nagisa, Hiedo, Haku and Yuma ran after him. The four boys sighed as the girls laughed at the males who chased their sensei around the building.
