Proluge
"Your Highness!" Yelled the palace maid Paula, who barged into the dining room. She was breathing hard and sweating slightly.
After my father finished his early morning goblet of red wine he replied, "What is it Paula?"
His voice was indeed very harmful for your ears Because it sounded so beautiful that it would draw you in. His black hair was streaked with grey, however it was combed back. Mother loved his bangs, or she had called them 'wispies'. He hated them but he was more than willing to compromise.
"Lady Claire is missing. Again." She said her brown eyes looking down in fear, and regret.
"That girl. Send Cayton after her, he's bound to know where she is or where she's headed." He ordered. He then rose from his chair, he wore tan skin tight pants. A large white cape which always covered the rest of him.
"Yes Sir." She replied bolting out of the room.
He sighed and pulled out a locket from his chest pocket. Although I couldn't see the pictures I knew what they were from memory. It was a picture of his family.
Him back in his prime, my deceased mother. Her blonde hair, and green eyes still as vibrant on the day she was wed. As father has said. My twin brother and a different version of myself.
I sigh quietly, and walked across the rafter above the dining room, to the window. I open it and step out from the wood onto the third highest roof of the Valorous Palace.
I then ran to the tree where my brother was most likely to meet me. As I ran along the roof, white doves had flew away from my path. My arms behind me as to make my speed and agility quicken. They flew up to the sky, majestic and free.
I was a bird in a open cage, however I couldn't fly away.
I jumped from five stories to three, running even faster to jump from the head of a stone gargoyle into a pine tree's sturdy branches. Without so much as a moment of relaxation I continue from branch to branch.
As I slid down the branch, which where was the tree where my brother was meeting me. I notice the black haired male below. White skin tight pants, blue long sleeve royal dress shirt. Light blue lining the seams. A red gem hung on his chest.
"Cayton?" I ask jumping down and landing before him at crounch. He almost withdrew his blade but I withdrew mine and clashed mine with his.
"Calm down, it's just me."
"Claire." He said lowering his blade. He then sighed and looked at my choice of wardrobe. "Tan mens skin tight pants, a black elbow length shirt. An black riding boots. Why Claire? You know father hates it when you dress like this."
Cayton was my twin brother. An I mean 'was.' I used to have black hair and sapphire blue eyes. It was before-.
"We still can't get that sword away from you can we?" He asked.
I clench my fingerless gloved hand. (Only for the pinky and ring finger, which is the left hand. Her sword hand.)
"I never should have pulled the sword, I was so stupid, but legend says the sword had chosen its wielder. I was willing to test it. No matter what I do father doesn't approve." I say.
Cayton pulled me to him. "I'm not saying I hate the new you. I just miss my princess sister. She who looked liked me. Know that your hair is white and your eyes a maroonish red I just can't help but forget you as my sister. An because of that hair bandits have come and you have saved yourself and this kingdom." He stroked my hair.
"Father needs you." He whispered.
With his arm over my shoulders the 6'6 male lead me inside.

"I thought I told you I didn't like you wearing that?" My Father asked angered as I slid on a grey scarf mask around my neck.
"You did, I just refuse to wear dresses anymore, or heels for that matter." I reply standing on one leg fully and one knee bent.
"Claire you're going to find a suitor starting tomorrow." He said, his blue eyes staring.
I felt my soul shatter. "What? Father you can't make me do that. I'm not suited for any kingdom. I have never been since-" I stop.
"Since your new hair had brought bandits in this palace which killed your mother!" He hollered back. He then looking down.
Tears lined my eyelids. "It's your responsibility." He then said, when he looked up he saw the hurt in my eyes.
I was a bird in a closing cage. I needed to learn how to fly. Now.
