12 years had passed since Sakura Minamikawa died.

12 years since I was reborn as Luna Kuroda.

For 12 years, I continued being Death and did everything commanded to me.

For 12 years, I continued living in the dark.

Right now, Taiju Shiba is not my Boss anymore. My new boss is one named Tetta Kisaki. Together with Manjiro Sano, Kisaki runs the underground world of Tokyo. They lead the notorious crime syndicate Tokyo Manji Gang and are feared by all those who know them.

The other death reapers lived. Like the case with Black Dragon, not all Toman members knew about us. After taking command of the death reapers, Kisaki kept our existence and identities a secret.

"Everything good, Death?" Akuma asks through my earpiece.

I am at a pier, as instructed, keeping an eye on our Boss as he strikes a deal with another crime organization. The group is willing to provide more funds to Toman in exchange for a safe route for shipping their illegal drugs. I watch Kisaki grin and shake the hand of the group's representative.

Looks like a sealed deal then.

Not like I care.

My eyes sweep around the pier, making sure nobody else is here. If there are witnesses, it is my job to erase them.

I catch a movement near Kisaki's group.

"A little bunny in the lion's den," I tell Akuma through my mouthpiece.

"Eliminate," is his only reply.

"Roger that."

That is when I see him.

Again.

Through my rifle's scope, I see the charming face of the only boy I have ever loved. The one who still haunts my dreams and I think of during rainy or sunny days. In my scope, I see Chifuyu Matsuno--now all grown-up but still as attractive. His hair is no longer dyed blond but is as dark as the night. He is dressed in a suit that fits him well.

"Confirm death," I barely hear Akuma speak.

Fuck.

My hands tremble and my heart shakes. Water gathers in my eyes.

I missed him.

Gosh, how I miss him.

"I repeat, confirm death," Akuma urged.

I breathe in and finally say, "My mistake. No witnesses on sight."

"What do you mean no witness--"

"I said, there is no witness. We're clear here."

"Fine. Return to hide out."

"Roger."

Before I stand up, I watch Chifuyu run back to his car and exit the pier. What was he doing? Risking his life just to spy on this Kisaki?

"Idiot." A single tear flowed down my cheek.
