It's been a while, hasn't it. A little over 3 years maybe?

If any of you are still around, you might be wondering, where have I been?

Believe it or not, still writing. Life, death, and other projects got in the way, but I never really stopped.

So where the hell is Session 3 of Asphalt Knight: Ignition?

To tell you the truth, I was never really satisfied with it from the beginning. The original Asphalt Knight was a chaotic mess, a depressed teenager's attempt at making sense of a world he didn't understand while cramming as many pop culture references and rip-offs of scenes from better stories as he could into a story, but at least it was sincere and genuine. Ignition was an even more depressed young adult's legitimate serious attempt at being a "publishable" novel, better in overall quality, but bogged down by attempts at sociopolitical commentary, and having a "theme" and generally being pretentious to try and impress "real" writers that would likely never give me the time of day no matter how good the story was. I eventually completely lost passion for that story and timeline.

For what it's worth, for those of you who were looking forward to it, I'm sorry, but I cannot bring myself to finish either of the Asphalt Knight stories.

I'm 22 years old now. I've come to realize that I've outgrown that line of thinking, my beliefs, tastes and personality have completely shifted. The GT Racer that wrote Asphalt Knight has become Velocity, a slightly less depressed man who actually kinda sorta knows his place in the world.

I'm sure some of you probably already inferred that on your own. So you might ask, why am I posting a message on a now nearly 8 year old Wattpad account?

Because I'm not done with this site just yet. There's something I gotta do. Something I gotta show you guys.

I spent the last 3 years writing an all new story, something completely unique that derives from both the old and new canon of the Asphalt Knight universe, but stands wholly on its own.

And it's done. Straight up finished, with a beginning middle and end. Over a hundred thousand words of it. Granted, it's currently a rough draft that needs some tweaks, but that's what this site is for.
