"Sit down in front of me," Blanca ordered Sing. He sat down and he placed his gun on his shoulder. "Lend me your shoulder."
"No shit you're using his shoulder," I muttered.
"No way, with the wind and range-"
"Cover your ears," he said, cutting off Sing. I covered my ears as he shot at the helicopter. It spun out of control and I uncovered my ears. It crashed into a building and exploded.
"What the hell are you?" Sing asked.
"We have to do something about them;" Blanca said. "Can you distract them? It's going to be very risky."
"We've been through a lot, don't say it's gonna be risky," I sighed.
"Leave it to me," Sing said.
"What about me?" I asked.
"Stay up here with me, if Sing needs backup, go down there." I nodded and looked at Sing. "Go shoot them up." Sing smirked and ran off. I watched as Foxx continued to shoot at Ash. Ash is fast, he'll live through this. Sing started firing from below at the guards and I looked down at him. "Ah, so while they deal with Sing, Ash can go defeat Foxx."
"You just realized that?" He asked unenthusiastically.
"At least I'm not getting stuck in vents." He sighed and aimed his sniper at the guards, shooting them. Someone started shooting back and I ducked before Blanca killed them off. I sat up and looked over at Sing who was waving at us. We waved back and Sing looked around. He ran over and bent down to grab something. "What did he find?" I asked.
"I can't tell, he's too far away," Blanca replied. Another explosion happened and I jumped. I looked over at Sing and the impact knocked him off.
"Sing!" I shouted. A fire had started below him and he was holding on with a silver suitcase in his hand. "I won't be able to get to him." I watched nervously as he slipped off and my eyes widened. Ash came out of nowhere and grabbed onto Sing's hand. "Ash!" I shouted. I saw the suitcase fall over of Sing's other hand and started to Ash pull him up. I sighed in relief and laid on the ground.
"Are you celebrating already?" Blanca asked, leaning over to look at me.
"No, I just feel like so much is happening today," I muttered. "It's too much to handle."
"Wow, the girlfriend to a gang leader says this is too much to handle," he said.
"I should've left you in the vent."
"Wait, look." I sat up and saw Foxx pointing a gun to Ash's head. They were talking but saying what. I heard a faint gunshot and Foxx collapsed.
"Blanca-"
"Not me." I looked around and saw Dino standing there.
"How did that son of a bitch live?" I gasped. He had shot Foxx and Ash pulled Sing up. Ash looked at Golzine, his gun still raised. His arm fell and he lost his footing, stumbling off the building and into the fire. I watched as he disappeared into the flames. "Finally, he's dead." Blanca just looked at me, annoyed, and I looked back, smiling.
"How does Ash put up with you?" He sighed. I got up.
"I don't know but let's head over to them." We ran down the stairs and headed where Sing and Ash were. I saw Ash and my eyes lit up. I ran over to him and jumped into his arms.
"Ow, Y/N!" He groaned. I got down.
"Sorry!" I said and he just smiled. I gave him a quick kiss and Sing just looked at us, disgusted.
"Oh god, let's leave," Sing muttered. I looked at him and smirked.
"It's gonna happen for a while," I told him.
"Please! Spare me!" He said. I heard someone run up from behind and Vivian was running towards me.
"Vivian!" I exclaimed and she knocked me over, hugging me.
"Y/N!" I smiled and we got up. "I found the others. They successfully saved the hostages."
"Good," Blanca said. "But now we should leave before the wind changes." I nodded.
"We got this far, we're not dying yet."
"It will be chaos before long," Blanca said.
"Another Indiana Jones reference?" Ash asked, annoyed.
"Is this normal?" I asked. Ash nodded.
"Sadly."
"I'd you want to burn to death, be my guest."
"I gotta live longer to make fun of you getting stuck in a vent" I told him.
"Are you gonna haunt me with that your whole life?" He asked.
"Yup!"
"End me." We got out of the building and it was all over the news about this. For weeks that's all we heard about. I looked at Ash, smirking as we walked.
"We've finally ended it all," I said. He looked over at me. "Oh, come on! Don't be all edgy right now!"
"I'm not being edgy," he muttered.
"At least answer me!"
"Fine, be quiet." I smiled.
"You big meanie," I joked. I looked ahead. "Hey, is that-" Lynx nodded.
"It's you two," Blanca said as we neared. "How did you find me here?" I hopped over the fence and Ash followed behind. I sat on the edge of the bench and he sat down next to me.
"You used to read here all the time," Ash replied. "Anyway, here's your pay." He opened his fist and dropped money into Blanca's hand. "515 bucks and 75 cents. Tax and costs included."
"No way! You actually paid him-" Aslan elbowed my side.
"Well, thanks," Blanca said.
"At least try to sound grateful!" I said.
"You leaving today?" Ash asked.
"Yeah." There was a pause. "Did Sing say anything about Mr. Yut-Lung?"
"What a faithful servant, caring for his master even after the contract's over," Ash joked.
"Yut-Lung was a child to him, give Blanca a break," I said, smirking.
"Sing can't kill him. He's too soft. Unlike me."
"Hey, I'm not soft either!" I snapped.
"Prove it."
"What do you mean prove it, Aslan?!"
"What would you two do to him?" Blanca asked.
"I'd tear him to a pulp," Ash replied.
"That's boring," I sighed.
"What would you do then?" He asked. I smirked.
"Ferret and I have been planning this-"
"If it includes Ferret, I know it's bad," he said. "But anyways, I'm not the type to go out and kill someone."
"He says as I remember the times he's threatened to kill me because I called him Aslan," I murmured.
"That's the past," he said.
"You better not have planned to do it with a knife, knives are my friend-"
"They are not your friends, they can kill you."
"But they won't." He sighed.
"As long as Yut-Lung doesn't come for me, he's fine. Satisfied?" He asked Blanca.
"Yeah.." he answered. "Eiji is going back to Japan tomorrow."
"You were right, I don't bring him anything but danger," Ash said. "I'm the kind of person who he needs to stay away from. And Y/N. Her anger issues would kill him."
"Excuse me?!"
"See?" I sighed and looked away.
"I get it now." I turned to look at Blanca.
"Nah, I've known it all this time," Ash told him. "I just couldn't accept it. Pitiful, huh?"
"Not really, based on things you've done in life already," I said.
"Y/N, shut up."
Why is everyone telling me to shut up?
