How come Himeka's art design looks like a Shaymin?

Does her design really look like one? Haha. Reasons..... I liked the Sinnoh region a lot, Shaymins are adorable, and I like the color schemes.

Okay, here's a legit answer. Ummm back when I was desiging her, I really had no idea what to let her look like. I wasn't that into designing stuff either because, well, no ideas, haha. So I decided to base a part of her design on something. First to come to mind was nature. I was still playing my Pokemon Platinum and I though it'd be a good idea to base her off a grass type Pokemon. Sinnoh is by far my favorite region, so I listed off all grass types from Kanto to Sinnoh which wasn't much. Shaymin's colors were green, white, and pink which I thought were good color choices to put together and apparently, green is my favorite color, haha. The flowers on Shaymin looks nice and I also then thought what if Himeka had one also? If she had a similar design to a legendary ,would that possibly say that she's connected to it? Not generally, but she can easily connect to nearly any Pokemon in general. When creating characters and stuff you sometimes just need... inspiration. C:

She has other outfits for like the seasons of the anime, but I kind of liked this one best and made her stick with it as game and manga counterparts. -shrugs- You'll never actually know what goes around in my head. Even I get left confused with what I do xD
