My POV

I overlook avengers tower before I go invisible, I've had my powers since I was born, after I ran from my hurtful family a few years ago, I've had to turn to stealing to survive.

I quietly infiltrate the tower, my objective is to steal some prototype tech, so I can sell it for enough money to keep me afloat for awhile.

As I near a lab, i hear some chatter.

"Steve, Friday has just picked up some cloaked movement on the same floor of the tower we're on." I hear stark say.

"Sound the alarm Tony." I hear Steve say.

Alarms start blaring throughout the building.

'Great, now this complicates things.' I thought.

I quietly run to find an exit, only to get caught in some spy wiring.

"For someone who is invisible, you suck at stealth." Black widow told me.

I turn visible, revealing my 10 year-old self, i don't say anything.

Timeskip

Now the avengers have me in an interrogation room in their tower.

The door opens, Natasha romanoff and Wanda maximoff walk in.

"So, what made you decide to attempt to enter avengers tower?" Natasha asks me.

I don't say anything, but I send painful, sad, and scared emotion waves, practically inviting scarlet witch into my head.

"Hold on Nat, I'm sensing something from him, feelings of pain, sadness, fear, but not of us, but of someone else." Wanda Tells Nat.

Wanda looks at me.

"May I?" She asks me.

I nod.

Wanda's POV

I step closer and use my powers to look into his mind and memories, what I see is horrific, his 'family' members abused and neglected him, he had to run away to safe his own life.

I exit his mind, look to Natasha, then to the kid, then back to Natasha.

"Other room, now." I tell her.

We step out of the room, the rest of the team waiting for us.

"Well?" Steve asks.

"He wouldn't verbally tell us why, but he sent waves of dark emotions in my direction, he allowed me to look into his mind and memories, what I saw was horrifying." I told him.

"What did you see?" Tony asks me.

"He was born with a massive amount of powers, his 'family' members abused and neglected him since he could walk and talk, he finally escaped them a few years ago, he's had to turn to stealing in order to survive." I told them, tears running down my face.

The team looks shocked.

"We can't send the kid back to those monsters, knowing how they have treated him." Tony states.

"Then what do we do with him?" Thor asks.

I feel a massive amount of motherly feelings for the child, I know what I have to do.

"We'll let him live here, with us, I will take care of him like a true mother would." I tell them.

"Wanda, are you sure you're up for this?" Steve asks me.

I nod.

Myself, Natasha, Steve, and Tony enter the room the kid is in.

I use my powers to unlock the cuffs on the child and sir him on the table facing us.

My POV

"You got a name kid?" Stark asks me.

"Zach, My name is Zach." I respond.

"Well Zach, Wanda here told us what she saw." Natasha told me.

"Us four and the team talked amongst ourselves." Stark adds.

"And we've come to the decision that you will be staying and living here." Natasha continues.

Wanda walks up to me and puts her hands on my shoulders, I flinch out of instinct.

"And I will be adopting you, I'll ensure that no-one will hurt you that way or any other way again, And I'll give you the motherly love that you need and deserve." Wanda tell me.

Tears of happiness run down my face.

"S-so you'll be my new mom?" I ask.

She responds by pulling me into a motherly hug.

"Thank y-you, mom." I tell her.

"You're welcome, my little light." She tells me.
