I step out of my portal with AU Steven in my arms.

Me: ok Steph, this is your new home, you'll be living in this universe from now on.

My lovely wife lapis and our kids barge in the door, Steph hugs my neck in fear.

Lapis and the kids move slowly over to me.

Lapis: Zach, who is this young boy, and why does he look so hurt?

Me: *sighs* This is Steph, he is an AU Steven, the gems of his AU hurt him, I just got done rescuing him.

Lapis slowly raises her hand and gently strokes steph's back.

Lapis: welcome to the family Steph.

Steph: Zach, is there a garnet, amethyst and pearl here?

Me: yes Steph, there is, and don't worry, you're in another universe, peace between the earth and homeworld was made, the crystal gems of this universe are nothing like your universe's crystal gems, ok?

Steph: c-could you call them here?

I look to lapis and she nods.

Lapis calls the gems and Steven.

A few moments after, Steven and the gems walk in.

Steven: Zach, what's going- *notices Steph in my arms*

Garnet: Zach, who is that in your arms?

I look down to Steph.

Me: Steph look, the crystal gems of this universe are here, they won't hurt you, I promise.

Steph slowly looks to the gems.

Steph: you're right Zach, the gems of this universe are nothing like my universe's gems.

I look to Stevenand the gems.

Me: come over here, slowly, no sudden movements.

They nod and slowly approach as I sit down on the couch.

Steph looks to the gems and Steven.

Garnet: hello Steph, I'm garnet.

Amethyst, pearl and Steven introduce themselves too.

I look to lapis.

Me: lapis, take Steph, get him cleaned up and into some new clothes please.

She nods and takes Steph to clean him up.

Steven: Zach, why is a younger me from another universe here?

Pearl: yeah, and why was he so hurt?

Me: *sighs* Steph is from a AU where the crystal gems of that AU... Abused him...

Garnet, amethyst, pearl and Steven gasp.

Me: listen, he'll stay with you 4, if you want Steph to warm up to you, you need to be patient, make no sudden movements, and ask him if you can approach him, got it?

They nod.

Lapis comes back into the living room with steph, clean and in New clothes.

Lapis hands Steph to me.

Me: Steph, you'll be living with the gems and Steven, I told them to be patient, make no sudden movements, and to ask if they can approach you.

Steph: are you s-sure about this Zach.

Me: yes steph, I trust the gems and Steven here with my life, they won't hurt you, or they'll have to answer to me, ok?

Steph: ok.

I hand Steph to Steven.

Me: Steven, tell bismuth, peridot, spinel, and the diamonds what I told told you and the gems.

Steven: got it Zach.

Steven, with Steph in his arms, exit the house, with the gems in tow.

Me: I hope we can give Steph the life and happiness he needs and deserves.
