Cat!Undyne: Every two months or so, a female monster's magic has to recalibrate itself, so the monster starts to feel a bit sick. They get mood swings and cramps and become rabid chocolate eaters like humans do, but their magic also goes on the fritz, they trip over literally fucking everything, lose their trains of thought easily and sometimes end up even hurting themselves with their own magic when trying to train.
Alphys: W-we just call it the "cycle". We don't really have another name for it... and there's r-really nothing you can d-do about it except stay hydrated and rest more.
