Tangents: "Sadly, no. We were born without hands one each of our arms, though. I'm missing my left hand, and Angular is missing her right."
Angular: "We wish we did though."
Tangents: "We were spawned separately as twins, when our bonded guardians thought they were ready to take care of children."

Tangents: "Turns out they weren't, since our parents feelings were the complete opposite for the both of us."
Angular: "Our mother cared for us with all of her heart, while our father could care less."
Tangents: "When they started to get mad at each other, and, well, out father did some questionable things and made some scary threats toward our mother, she decided that we should escape."
Angular: "She paid for a special procedure, telling us that we 'would never drift apart' after it."
Tangents: "We didn't know that it meant that we'd be literally connected to each other, though."
Angular: "Our mother said that she only did the procedure so that she'd know that we'd always be together, no matter how far away we were."
Tangents: "In a way, she might of cared about us TOO much."
Angular: "The next night, we were horrified.  We witnessed our father killing our mother with our very own eyes."
Tangents: "I-I-I st-t-tarted to th-hink in m-m-my head, 'w-w-what did sh-he d-d-do to des-serve th-h-his'?"
Angular: "Stop crying, Tangents, it happened millennia ago.  Obviously, after that, we knew we had to escape right away.  That this town, no, this realm, wasn't safe anymore.  So we jumped through the portal from our world, only to come out the other end with A HUNDRED OPTIONS TO GO THROUGH."
Tangents: "O-o-okay, A-Angular, I-I-I'll tr-r-ry.  *Sniff sniff*.  So, we, uh, found this portal, and, uh, uh, Angular?  C-can you t-t-take it from h-here?"
Angular: "For ARTEP'S SAKE, TANGENTS, STOP CRYING!  Fine.  So, we quickly scanned the hallway of portals, trying to find one that was suitable.  We found this portal with a rainbow gradient, lined with blocks that were actually made of gemstones.  But they were unlike any emerald, redstone, or diamond blocks we've ever seen.  They were completely different gems.  We decided that somehow this was the safest portal to go in, and that leads us up to now.  Being current residents in the FirstWorld."
