💗How I Got Into Writing💗

What made you start writing? by Noshin7bear

Ever since I was a very young girl, I had always liked to read and loved listening to my grandparents as they tell fairytales to me.

I would read every moment I get. I remember next to the Art periods, School library periods were my absolute favorite and while all the other kids went out for recess, I'd be the silent kid at the back with my face buried in a good story engrossed in whatever land the book had taken me to.

When I was around 8 years old, I would make little booklets about very babyish fairytales I'd make up every once in awhile and I remember how my little toddler self would be so proud of them.

When I turned around 10, I didn't know exactly why, but I had this craving to make my own book written about something. It was crazy. All I wanted to do was write about something on an empty book and then to decorate the cover of the book and pretend as if it was an actual storybook.

Once I was at a bookstore, and I saw these children's books and these books recounted the stories of certain animations I've watched. I was really surprised by seeing that and I was glad to learn that writing the storylines of movies into books as a movie to book adaption was an actual thing.

So what I did was, I started to narrate all the film I've ever watched in my own words on a book. As soon as I've finished watching a new film, I would take a new exercise book and I'd write down the entire story using my very poor English and babyish sentence structuring because I was very young at the time.

I remember doing this for two movies. One was Frozen and the other was Bolt. Since I loved to draw as well, I would also try to draw the characters and illustrations to match the scene of each chapter. (Each chapter only had like only 4 sentences and the rest of the page was filled with pictures. Lol)

Soon as I turned 12, I wanted to write my own story. Not a narration of a movie. I wanted to give a try at writing my own story produced by my imagination . So I wrote multiple stories which came into my 12 year old mind.

My first real story was about a talking Rottweiler Dog called 'My Rottie and Me' (Rottie because its short for 'Rottweiler)

This story was the longest one I had ever written. The above sentence doesn't even come close to describing the actual story. It is so long that I had to separate the book into 2 parts. 😃

Fun fact, this story was inspired by a Rottweiler dog my family used to own.

And then I remember writing a series about three twelve year old girls who would go on hilarious adventures as they try to solve day to day problems which ends up bearing comedic results.

Another was about a 17 year old orphan who finds out that she's the chosen one to protect the mystical and enchanted kingdom of Charmazia which lies way up in the clouds from the attack of a wicked enchantress.

Again, these are all unhelpful and extremely short blurbs of the stories. There is a lot more to them than what meets the eye.

Unfortunately, most of my books got discontinued purely because overtime I started to lose interest in writing them but to this day, I still have all the collected exercise books on which I wrote each and every one of my stories (including the covers decorated by me).

And the memories within them are priceless.

A couple of years passed and as soon as I found out what fanfictions are, I was obsessed with the goal of being a fanfiction writer one day.

So around an year ago, that dream came true thanks to my lovely friend who introduced me to Wattpad. (Her username is Prabhavi-15 and she writes Miraculous Ladybug fanfics on Wattpad. Feel free to check out her profile. :) )

'Introduced' in the sense, she introduced me to writing in Wattpad. I knew what Wattpad was because I'd always use it to read fanfics but I had never written anything on it. But my friend prompted me to write something on it for the first time.

So I decided to write BTS fanfics for all of you guys!

As much as I love writing fanfictions, my dream is to one day publish my own book with my original characters. I'd really like to get one of my books to become famous by some miracle but most importantly I want that particular book to touch my reader's heart.

At the moment, I don't quite feel like I'm ready to publish a book like that yet but I'd love to one day and I hope all of you will stick around till then.

In fact, I've been thinking of maybe one day, publishing one of my childhood stories (the ones I wrote when I was 12 years old) for you all to read and get a good laugh out of them at the expense of my dignity, lol. :') . Of course, I would have to majorly develop all the storylines and improve my back then atrocious grammar and writing style.

So yeah, that's the whole story of how I got into writing. :D

A quick disclaimer : Please do not copyright or use any of my above mini story ideas, book titles and land names as your own.  I mean, I don't even know whether they are even worthy of being copied or whatever because they are some crazy and whimsical ideas and not at all original by the way. But still, my 12 year old self worked really hard to create them, so regardless of anything, they still belong to me. So, do not claim them as your own.
