I sat next to a boy in my Language Arts class that had threaten to shoot up the school over a video game yesterday..... We had 4 cop cars and 8 officers at our school.....they were there all day....I actually just found out about today.... according to my friends who were involved told me the boy is in police custody but they suspect that there were more kids involved that were going helping in this alleged shooting..... The police even did mental evaluation on the boy............ The only reason this boy got caught is because one of the kids in the game chat room told his parents and they reported it to the police........ The boy did tell some other kids and said that if they didn't tell anyone that they wouldn't get killed......... The shooting was supposed to happen this week during a fire drill so all fire drills are canceled for the rest of the year........... But I can't help but think if that kid didn't tell his parents I could be dead right now............... Without even saying goodbye........ And this scares me........ So to that kid that told his parents thank you for your courage and bravery because without you our school might have been on the news........ For something terrible...... So thank you for saving the lives of your classmates and thank you for saving my life...... And if any of you are in a situation like this please have the courage to tell an adult or teacher or someone because you could save the lives of your classmates, your friends, and your own life..... I know it's scary but things like this happen everyday if you would have asked me yesterday I would have told you that this probably would never have happened to me but it almost it..... Anything can happen to me it can happen to anyone...... So please be safe.
