"What inspired you to write (anything) on Wattpad?"

I have a rather lengthy answer:

First off, thank you for dropping by and asking me a question! (I feel obligated to say this because without you guys, I wouldn’t be here! Or something like that, yeah, heh!)

So, what inspired me…there’s the long story, and then there’s the short story. 

Long story: I’ve been writing for over a decade, and around my early adolescence, I started joining online forums and talking about interests and posting my writing. And I got a lot of flak, by a few choice groups. It hurt, and I started to defend myself, but there’s something about trying to rationalize something when dealing with irrational crowds…but I digress.

About two years after this forum business, my friend from school told me about this site, about how it was "made in Toronto" and it’s new and all that. I was pretty beat at the time, from the forum stuff, so I posted a few parts of a fan fiction that I had been writing on another site and that was it. That was in 2012. And then I disappeared.

Then…fast forward to February 2014. I came back, remembering my amazing username (I haven’t changed my username) but not my password. I probed around, looking for some fan fiction or just regular fiction to pass the time. Arbitrarily clicked on one and started to read and…dear God. It was…I don’t want to sound…well, mean or anything, for lack of a better term, but…they were just rather badly written. Like, broken, badly formatted (half bold and half not bold and stuff…) and it made my head hurt. I mean…I just wanted to read a decent story but the ones I found at first weren’t too great…that made me think, "I shouldn’t be so negative towards my own writing," and things like that. So I started writing a story (which is in my drafts and isn’t up yet) and I was really liking it! Then, as I was sitting around, I had a sudden, little idea for a Vocaloid fanfiction, and then I went out later and it blossomed into something bigger, at which point I realized that I had never written a romance in my entire life.

But so many other people were taking their first steps, and they were having fun with it. so I let myself go and the story sort of took over me! And yeah, that’s it. Even if nobody read it, or nobody read my status from back then, I was so engrossed in the actual writing of it. I remember when I got 100 reads and 20 votes, I was dancing around with my best friend 'cause we were both so blown away. It’s a lot, still! 100!! XD but I digress, I’ve wandered form the question’s path. That’s how I got here, left, came back and started writing. I was inspired to write when I saw how many works could've been edited or at least run through a spell-check before posting. >_> And also, how people wrote without worry. Stuff like that.

Oh! Wait! The short story!

Short story: I came to Wattpad a few years ago, posted some old stuff, left, came back in Feb. 2014, started writing new stuff and tried to have fun with it.

...this was a really pointless answer, I just realized. <_< I'm sorry, it ends up not going anywhere. T-T I guess I didn't really have any "inspiration," it was just me coming here and bam. Yeah...
