Question from @AliceMorrison : Why does Sherlock have so many scars?

J: *glances at Sherlock, nervously* Can we skip--

S: No, I'll answer it, John. Don't worry.

J: I know you'll answer. I just don't like talking about it.

S: I know...

J: *sighs*

S: Some of them are from cases.

J: He has a moon shaped one on his elbow from getting his arm trapped in a door. It's interesting. I like that one.

*moment of silence*

S: Then many aren't from cases... *looks to John*

J: I'm fine. *takes Sherlock's hand *

S: Some where self-inflicted from my younger uni years. I wasn't liked all that much and I could deal with that. But.. certain names get to you eventually. Then the others I have that aren't by my own hand or from cases are from being tortured by J- er, Moriarty's men.

J: Battle scars, all of them.

S: *rolls eyes* John's are far more interesting then my own.

J: I went to war. Hardly an interesting story. Most soldiers have scars.

S: They are interesting.

J: Not really..

S: I also have a scar from John biting my shoulder--

J: Sherlock!

S: *chuckles*
