Weird And Crazy

Red-RazzleBerry David what is the craziest thing that has ever happened to you? Jack what is the weirdest thing that has ever happened to you?

Jack seemed to be pondering the question in his head, David however answered immediately.
"The rebel attack," David frowned. Jack looked down at him, a concerned expression adorned his face.
"The rebel attack? You mean the one that happened before I was recruited?" Jack asked.
"Yep, huh... Now that you mention it, you were recruited the day after the attack weren't you?" David chuckled.
"Apparently," Jack shrugged.
"Well let me tell you, it was insane... I lost a lot of friends that day, and if that wasn't crazy enough, the infirmary was completely full of injured soldiers, I tried taking care of them all but... There were just so many, I got flustered and I guess I messed up... That was also the day I nearly killed Patryck because of my incompetence," David sighed. Jack put one of his hands on top of David's head, gently petting his soft blonde hair.
"I cannot say much since I was not there, however I believe you did good given the pressure you were under, it is like you said, the attack was crazy, the infirmary was full, you tried and succeeded for the most part, and no one can get mad at you for that," Jack smiled. There it was again. That unfamiliar smile that Jack only showed in the presence of torture or David... Why did David feel so... Weird when he saw it?
"Thank you," David whispered. Jack took his hand off of David's head, and David would be lying if he said he didn't miss the feeling a little.
"Mine is a bit more lighthearted, to me it is at least, the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me? The woman who used to run the mess hall, Dalilah I think? Whatever, anyways, Red leader was out for awhile with Paul and Patryck on a recon mission, so she decided to raid the fridge of every single bottle of alcohol we had, and shared it with the rest of the army," Jack began. David's eyes widened once he realized what Jack was talking about.
"JACK DON'T YOU DARE!" David whined.
"I have already started, why not just finish? Unlike most of the army, I was busy... 'cleaning up' after my last job, once I was done I began making my way to the mess hall, only to run into David, drunk out of his mind, apparently he is a light weight," Jack grinned.
"Stop!" David groaned fruitlessly, hiding his face in his sleeves.
"I asked him if he was alright... David, would you like to tell the kind people how you responded?" Jack teased.
"No..." David replied, his voice muffled by his sleeves.
"That is alright, I will just go find the researcher and tell her this story, I am sure she would love to hear it," Jack smirked. David whipped his head up, his face red and his eyes wide.
"You wouldn't!" David squeaked.
"Try me," Jack winked.
"Okay! Okay! I'll tell them!" David sighed.
"Go on then," Jack chuckled.
"He asked me if I was alright and so I walked up to him, dangled my arms around his neck, leaned in and whispered... Ugh," David had begun blushing even more.
"What did you whisper David?" Jack smirked, enjoying this more than he should have.
"I'm fine now that you're here daddy," David said, barely above a whisper. Jack chuckled.
"And that would have to be the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me, although it wasn't unwelcome," Jack replied with a completely straight face.
"What?!" David resembled his turtleneck at this point.
"I am simply kidding David," Jack rolled his eyes.
"Oh uh... Good," David chuckled, finally releasing the breath he had been holding.
