David giggled slightly.
"My mum gave me dance lessons when I was really little, my dad kept telling her to stop but she refused! I still know a few steps here and there, and the waltz is pretty easy for me, as for singing? I hum sometimes while I'm sketching, but nothing too loud," David shrugged. Jack stayed quiet. "What about you Jack?" David asked.
"Promise you will not laugh?" Jack sighed.
"Promise"
"Okay well... I used to sing Catherine to sleep when we were homeless, she would get scared and cry for me to sing so... I suppose I gained that skill, sometimes she still asks me to sing for her, for whatever reason she thinks it is soothing," Jack frowned.
"Aw, that sounds nice Jack," David smiled.
"Not really," Jack mumbled.
"Could you sing something for me?" David asked, an even wider smile on his face. Jack's eyes shifted to the pleading man next to him.
"Fine, but please make no mention of this to anyone,"
"I won't!" David agreed. Jack took a deep breath and began singing an unfamiliar tune. David couldn't help but be put into a trance by it instantly. The way Jack's voice hit each note was so smooth, and his voice was just hauntingly beautiful. David felt himself getting lulled into sleep. Catherine was right, Jack's voice really was soothing. David leaned himself up against Jack, head on Jack's chest, listening to his steady heartbeat. Jack tensed up slightly, but kept singing, determined to allow David to hear every last note.
