"David is a truly talented man, he is attractive, skilled, kind, and although it can be hard to see, he is quite brave," Jack began.
"Uh... Jack?" David attempted to interject.
"He deserves a gentleman, someone who is willing to go above and beyond for him,"
"Jack?"
"He is like a delicate flower, resilient and beautiful in even the roughest conditions, however he can be easily influenced by even the slightest change in his environment,"
"Jack?!"
"I choose to be kind to David because he deserves it, because he is what holds this army together, however everyone around here is blind to David's contributions, so if I'm the only one who can see it, then so be it, I will be the one to hold his fragile golden heart together," Jack finished, smiling.
"JACK?!" David practically screamed.
"Hm?"
"Did you even read the last part of that question?" David asked, rolling his eyes.
"I did," Jack nodded.
"Um... and?" David was incredibly confused as to why Jack was being so calm at the thought of someone accusing them of being anymore than forced friends.
"And I shall let the audience be the judge," Jack winked.
"Oh wow..." David scoffed, leaving the room. Jack stood alone, quietly listening to David's footsteps disappear. Once they were gone, he took in a deep breath.
"Okay, the moment I saw David, I felt an emotion I didn't think was possible without torturing someone, I can't tell if it's love or not, but it's something I just can't let go of... David is fragile... I refuse to let anyone in this world break him," Jack declared.
