"Well since he is a medic, a very talented one at that, he should know how to handle that sort of thing, however I would of course stay by him and help him in any way I could, help him stay comfortable, that kind of thing," Jack nodded.
"That would be very kind of you Jack, but it's like you said, I could probably handle it on my own," David shrugged.
"I know you could, however I would still try to help, how else am I supposed to repay you for your help last night?" Jack grinned.
"Oh yeah, in case anyone was wondering, I did sleep in the same bed as Jack last night to see if it would aid him in sleeping," David explained.
"It definitely helped, I had almost a full night of sleep," Jack added.
"Anyways, Jack, you don't have to repay me for that, besides, you already did in a way, your inability to sleep unless in direct contact with a person is a pretty interesting addition to my medical research," David chuckled.
"I am glad I could be of service," Jack bowed slightly, trying to be polite. He desperately wanted to correct him... He didn't have to be in direct contact with a person, he had to be in direct contact with David, and only David.
"Oh, and if Jack ever had a fever, I'd be the most qualified to handle it anyways, first I would suggest he stay away from any types of torture since his... Unique reaction to it wouldn't help him much, unfortunately we do not have medication for that sort of thing around here, so I'd have to use what I like to call the childs method, basically I'd have him lie down and rest with a damp washcloth on his forehead, I'd probably try my best to make sure he'd stay hydrated as well, finally, I'd suggest he try soaking in the bath for a bit," David finished.
"That was a long answer," Jack chuckled.
"Sorry, I tend to rant when it comes to medical stuff, I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to these things," David sighed.
"It is fine, I think it is cute that you care enough to explain every last detail," Jack flirted.
"Mm-hm," David wasn't listening.
