9/ Unable To Express

Since I turned ten, I've been noticing that I would only react/ show emotion for a very short amount of time.

Whenever I find something funny, I laugh, but after two or three seconds, it'll die down quickly. Even why I cry, I immediately stop crying after five seconds and become completely unemotional.

It feels like I don't want to express what I feel through emotion. This is hard since I've never been able to express emotions well since I was a child. I want to cry and laugh longer than I normally do, even the excitement and joy in me dies down quickly.

Everything seems so unfair.

To express your emotions, you have to fully understand your emotions which sounds cliche but hear me out.

Understanding what makes you sad, happy or angry can help you learn how to react to them. To show more exaggerated emotions you need to let yourself go slightly and teach your subconscious that it's ok if you cry or laugh a lot, because although you probably don't feel like your restraining yourself, your subconscious may be stopping you from showing so much emotion.

Writing down your emotions can also help you understand them more and understanding your emotions is the key to reacting to them. I would suggest keeping a diary or a log of how you're feeling on certain days and what's triggered those emotions. If you still feel as though you aren't showing your emotions, talk to someone in your life about it as you may find that once you've told someone how you feel, it will be easier to express more of your emotions.
