Alphys: Gaster...why do I feel like I've heard that name before?

Asgore: So do I...

Sans and Papyrus: *Exchange glances*

Sans: should we tell them?

Papyrus: I...I THINK THEY DESERVE TO KNOW.

Sans: dr w.d. gaster was the royal scientist before alphys. he was also the guy that made me and papyrus. he created us by splitting off two parts of his brain and implanting them into separate bodies. he raised us two like we were his kids. then, one day, when i was 16 and paps was 14, something went wrong. he had created the determination extraction machine and wanted to test it but had no test subjects...so he made himself one. he injected himself with vigorous amounts of DT and activated the machine. it malfunctioned and he was erased from existence, which is why none of you remember him. paps and I are the only ones who do.

Frisk: Uh, Sans, can I talk to you in private?

Sans: sure.

*The two go into the kitchen*

Frisk: You aren't the only ones to remember him. In one of the previous timelines, when I was in Hotland, there were these weird grey monsters. They said they were followers of Gaster. But, they told me he fell into the CORE.

Sans: i remember those guys from before dr g kicked the bucket. they probably thought that's what happened because the dt experiments were a secret and, given as the core hasn't got handrails, they assumed that's how he was erased. as for how they remember him, i have no idea. pap and i only remember because we share parts of his brain.

Frisk: Is there anyway of bringing Gaster back?

Sans: i've been trying to find one for years, kid. what do think the stuff in my lab's for? i still haven't found anything.

Frisk: ...C'mon. We'd better see if anymore asks or dares have come through.
