RandomCrapStories: Nightmare, listen. I'm not the best at giving advice but I'll do my best. Find one of Cross's favourite locations - a stargazing hill, a restaurant, a carnival, whatever. It doesn't need to be fancy as long as Cross loves going there. The ring doesn't need to be to fancy or to simple. A simple silver ring with a black or red gem should be fine. Do it in your passive form as well. We all know that you don't really enjoy being in that form, so it'll show Cross that you really tried.

Honestly, what reason does Cross have to say no? He loves you, and you love him. Even if he isn't ready for a full marriage you two will still be engaged so the wedding can come later. Face it Nightmare, Cross isn't a very fancy guy. Something simple and sweet would do just fine for him.

Nightmare took the advice and was going to do an at-home proposal. Cross liked it simple. He was leaning on Nightmare's shoulder, purring softly. Nightmare let out a quiet sigh and got down on one knee.

Cross was confused for a split-second before nearly audibly squealing. Nightmare presented the ring, his cheeks burning with blush. "C-Cross? W-will y-you--" he didn't even get to finish before Cross practically shouted a 'YES!!!'. Nightmare let out a quiet squeak at Cross' response. "R-really..?"

"Of course!!" Cross' pupils turned into stars. Nightmare's did the same, smiling.
