May 29, 2021 -- After one and a half years of writing fanfiction, ASTERHYTHM is bringing their first original work, WALKING ON STARLIGHT, to Wattpad as part of the MAGNIFICAT MIRACLES series.

WALKING ON STARLIGHT's main character is Emmaline Wheaton, the COO of the Magnificat Complex and liaison for the Magnificat's mental health services. In the MAGNIFICAT MIRACLES series, the Magnificat is a place where artists can safely go to perfect their art and maybe even escape from the world for a while. Each Magnificat novelette mentions Emmaline by name; WALKING ON STARLIGHT is Emmaline's origin story, primarily taking place during Emmaline's high school years when she forms the titular band with her friends.

Fans of NEONARA will already recognize the WALKING ON STARLIGHT name, as the band members are minor characters in the current TXT music festival serial. ASTERHYTHM states that fans of NEONARA can read WALKING ON STARLIGHT with little to no issue. "While the Magnificat Miracles and NeoNara take place in two different universes," they state, "the band is essentially the same. At some point in the world of the Magnificat, Emmaline goes her separate way and starts her work at the Complex instead. In the world of NeoNara, she stays with the band, which is why we see them performing. The reasons for this will be clear in the book."

WALKING ON STARLIGHT is also the name of the unofficial cover band created by ASTERHYTHM to integrate music into their fanfictions. Selections of the band's music can be found on ASTERHYTHM's AudioMack; more selections will be added as the story publishes. WALKING ON STARLIGHT is a novella-length adventure, is written in first person from Emmaline's perspective, and will begin publication on May 31, 2021. The novella will publish twice weekly on Monday and Friday, and the final two chapters will be published during AsterCon2, on September 19, 2021.

ABOUT ASTERHYTHM

Mysterious anonymous Asterhythm (they/them) is a long time fanfiction veteran and self-published author. Aster started their career in 2003 on Fanfiction.net, where they primarily wrote for anime fandoms including Digimon and Angelic Layer. In 2011, Aster discovered K-Pop, and began writing under the Asterhythm name in 2019 after becoming a fan of BTS. Aster writes on both Wattpad and An Archive Of Our Own, where a more extensive history of their work under different pseudonyms is located.

Asterhythm is a Municipal Liaison for National Novel Writing Month; to date they have won NaNoWriMo sixteen times. They have had their books displayed at trade shows including New York Comic-Con. While retired from the professional writing scene, Aster brings their writing skill and networking to the fanfiction world by giving instruction and advice and promoting other authors. Aster is a champion of the #OwnVoices movement, which is evident in both their stories and others'.

Aster currently lives in America, where they go to school. Their hobbies include playing rhythm games and doting on their cats.
