Normally when the mother gives birth to a more strong wielded dream, they can in fact die.
But some only get into a coma or even survive but have half their blood gone and have to stay in hospital.
Big examples:
Pat managed to have his mother alive but half blood loss
Matt only had his mother go into a coma for a while
Tord unluckily has his mother die
Which caused him to have no father (cause the father ran away) and no mother
