Addelaide's POV

   "So, did you get to know Kage?"  Vanessa curiously says, a brow raised.  "I-I tried to.  He just looked at me...and squinted."  "That Kage is a peculiar character, I tell ya."  "Anway, how did things go with you and Kensai?"  "Oh we hit it off so good."  She says dramatically.

Mm.  So that might be a thing.

"He wants me to hang out with him more."  She says.  "Oh, good for you."

Vanessa and I are at Kensai's house again.  Vanessa wanted me to tag along, too, but little did I know that more Kensai meant more Kage.

"Well, I know you're not going to respond, so I'll just do all the talking,"  He tilts his head, staring me in the eyes with a squint, before fixing his head and eyes back and nodding.

"I like scanning pages of books with intricate detail.  My most preferred food is pizza, even though it seems less sophisticated than I am.  Although, I'm a rather simple being.  I don't really partake in the outside world much, but when rare opportunities like that are taken, I usually do it with Vanessa.  I haven't had many relationships, and my most beloved animal is a dog."

Kage's POV

Something about Addelaide intrigues me.  She has an impeccable vocabulary, definitely different from most people.  The way she speaks definitely isn't doggerel.  It's more sophisticated.  Definitely different.

She isn't super social and doesn't get out much.  It seems like Vanessa is the only one she hangs out with.  Vanessa is such a social butterfly.  They seem like two totally different people.

She's interested in reading books, which is really interesting.  You don't really see that with adults nowadays, or with anyone, really.  I can tell she's an intellectual.

She seems so complex, yet she is a rather simple creature.  With her sophistication comes a chill person, not really extravagant or stuck-up, in a sense.

She hasn't had a lot of relationships.  She's conservative when it comes to who she gives herself to.  It's obvious she has standards.  I wouldn't say she's a prude when it comes to guys.  I'd say she probably plays it safe.

She's definitely different from most girls I've been involved with or seen, and she intrigues me more than she knows.
