Kage's POV

   "Hey, bro."  My friend Kensai says to me.  I nod my head at him.  We're at the bar.  We go to the Pool table and start playing.

A/N

This is Kensai.

 "So, I'm going on vacation in six months.  Wanna come?  It's supposed to be a couples' trip, even though I haven't found someone to bring yet.  You can bring Stephanie."  He randomly says.  I shake my head.

"Oh, is Stephanie not in the picture anymore?"  I shake my head once more.  "Oh, well, you can still come.  You don't have to bring anyone.  Wanna go?"  I nod my head.  "Cool."  Kensai replies.

Addelaide's POV

Vanessa and I are at the store, looking for snacks for our girls' night in.  Suddenly, she pulls me over to hide in the aisles.  "Oh shit,"  She whispers, peering over at someone.  "That's Kensai.  And he's with Kage."

"Kensai?"  I whisper back softly, making sure to not say his name in a vociferous volume.  "Yeeeah.  Kensai.  That's Kage's best friend.  Kensai is cuuuuuute.  Change of plans.  Girls' night is cancelled.  We're hanging out with those guys."  She says as she scopes them out, her tone coming off as if she's accepting a challenge, a smirk on her face.

My eyes go big.  "Come on."  She instructs.  Before I can object, she grabs my wrist and drags me over to them.

How am I supposed to stay away from Kage if she wants me to hang out with him?

"Hiii.  Kensai, right?"  Vanessa says with a confident smile to the male standing next to Kage.  Kage's eyes are burning into us, just being attentive.

The man that possesses the name Kensai smiles at her.  "Yeah.  That's right.  And you are?"  I must say, this Kensai character is quite prepossessing, and he looks more easygoing and less intimidating than Kage does.

"I'm Vanessa.  Nice to meet you,"  She sticks her hand out and he shakes it before planting a kiss to the back of it, a smile on his face.  "And this is my friend Addelaide."  She states, gesturing to me.

"Hi."  I timidly say with a small wave.  Kage's eyes intensely bore into me.  He might bore a hole into me at this rate.

"It's very nice to meet you guys."  Kensai says and shakes my hand with a warm smile.  I smile back in response.  Kage's black shirt, pants, and shoes attract my attention from the corner of my eye.  Being in the luminosity, ink patterns can be seen on his hands.  Did that not hurt?

"This is my best friend Kage."  Kensai says, putting his hand on the back of Kage's shoulder.  Kage nods his head at both of us.  We nod back.

"So what are you two lovely ladies doing tonight?"  Kensai charmingly says.  "We were gonna have a girls' night-"  "But we'd rather hang out with you."  Vanessa swiftly and smoothly interjects, a smile on her face.

"Sure.  Let's go back to my place."  Kensai says.

I'm kinda just sitting awkwardly on the couch with my head down as Kensai and Vanessa flirt on the other couch.  I get up and decide to wander the corridor. 

I enter one of the rooms.  I close the door back and observe the room.  I look at the enchanting posters on the wall.  They're different from my usual status quo.  I glide my fingertips over the surface of them, my eyes engaged by them.

"Why are you in here?"  A mysterious voice says.  I jolt in fright, my head whipping toward the source of the voice.

Kage.....

Those are his first words since I've met him.  "Y-you speak?"  "Not really, no."  "Why is that?"  "Answer the question."  "Oh, well, I felt a little uncomfortable, so I just came in here.  Sorry.  I-I didn't know you were there."

I sit next to him on the bed.  His eyes immediately stare into mine.  "Um, so I guess we should get to know each other."  I say nervously.  He sits in silence as he continues to look through my soul with his orbs.

"Um, ok.  Do you have any hobbies?"  I question.  His head tilts as he stares at me, his eyes squinting at me momentarily.  What the?

This is going to be a long night.
