Today my boyfriend and I were supposed to have a cute date at the park but mother nature had other plans.

I looked outside and it was still raining hard, I felt someone hugging me from behind. "it's okay baby, we can go another time" Javon kissed my cheek.

"I know but I was so excited the weather was so perfect" I said turning around to face him "you look so pretty" he cooed and I smiled "thank you handsome" I pecked his lips.

"oh my god, I know what we can do," Javon suddenly said "what?" I asked and he ran upstairs and came back with his speaker.

he connected his phone to the speaker and looked at me "wanna do something romantic" he said "like what?" I smiled curiously. "Take my hand and you'll find out."   

I took his hand and he brought it to his lips for a kiss before dropping it by his side while intertwined with his own. He led me outside and with his free hand, he pulled his phone from his pocket.

I heard one of our favorite songs 'marry you' by Bruno mars play and I laughed "Javon what are you doing"

Javon looked down at me and smiled like a dork, he ran out to the rain and started spinning around in circles like a child. 

I couldn't help but laugh at his childishness.

"come on Y/n dance with me" he said walking toward me I reached over as he wiped his face, and my hands cupped his cheeks "you look like a wet puppy" I giggled and he chuckled.

Javon's arm snaked around my waist and pulled me closer to him. We both stood there for a second before Javon suddenly pulled me forward and into the rain. 

"Javon!" You gaped as the icy cold rain made contact with my warm body.

"It's a beautiful night

We're looking for something dumb to do

Hey baby, I think I wanna marry you" 

he sang and I giggled "your crazy" I said and he smiled continued singing and I joined him.

I started dancing and so he did too, we did some weird crazy moves and laughed at each other. 

Soon the song ended

'just the two of us' started playing and Javon grinned

He pulled me so close to him that I could feel his heartbeat through his wet shirt, he wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head on his shoulder.

The smell of his cologne filled my senses. my chest pressed against his, his chin resting on my head.

The sadness felt earlier seemed so unimportant now. all that mattered was being in this moment with him.

He slowly swayed back and forth and he started to sing along to the song, his voice so smooth in your ear.

"Now tell me is this better than a picnic" He teased, the smile remaining on his lip.

"Way better" I answered wrapping my arms around his neck and his forehead fell to mine. "Love you. You're the only one I'd ever do this with, y/n."

he leaned in, warm lips meeting mine in a sweet but firm kiss as the rain poured around us.

My heart swelled a bit as he pulled away. Always craving more of his kisses I chased after his lips, a chuckle vibrating in his chest as he gave me another peck.

Five minutes later and it started to get winder and we decided to go in since we didn't want to catch a cold which I think we will.

DJ and Jessica Javon's parents entered the kitchen and saw us both wet, they saw the song playing on the speaker and smiled at us knowing what we had just done.

"you guys are the cutest couple I've seen" jess smiled and we blushed "okay mom we got to go" Javon said pulling me upstairs "bye Mr. and Mrs. Walton" I yelled going with Javon to his room.

We took a nice warm shower then changed into comfy clothes, I wore Javon's sweatpants and hoodie which were huge on me and he loved seeing me in his clothes. We got in bed and watched a movie while cuddling.
