The Tour
JACK STOOD BESIDE Ben at the steps of Auradon, trying his best to not display his feelings about having to be here. He could be doing other things right now rather than giving a tour to the villain kids.
Fairy Godmother had requested him specifically to stand with Ben and Audrey, as when the the limo escort pulled around the corner, the band would begin to play music announcing their arrival.
Ginerva wanted to be here to greet her...aunt, and show her around but felt that she may make her feel out of place by rushing the process.
"How long until they arrive, Fairy Godmother?" Jack asked, turning to the Headmistress as she stood in front of them in her usual cerulean blue pants suit.
"Oh, it won't be to long dear." Fairy Godmother said, sending Jack a smile. "I'm sure you are all excited to see our new students."
Ben gave a wide smile, Audrey looked as if she were trying to be supportive but her smile came out more like a grimace, and Jack just held a look of disinterest.
"Here they come!" One of the band members yelled before everyone began to get in to position. Jack sighed in dismay before shoving his gloved hands in to his pocket.
Music filled the air as the band played, and the few students nearby let out choruses of applause and cheers. As the limo pulled around the garden and over to the awaiting crowd before pulling to a stop. The music slowly died however as the driver pulled open the door and a boy with a mass of white, curly hair rolled out of the limo on to the pavement. He let out cries and groans as he tried to pull a jacket away from a taller, more muscular boy, who placed his chest and tried to yank the jacket from him.
Jack raised an eyebrow as the rest of the teens simply stepped out, shaking their heads at the pair as if it were a normal occurrence.
"You got everything else! Why do you want this!" The white haired boy screamed, still struggling for the jacket. From his looks he obviously had to be Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vile.
"Because you want it!" The taller boy hissed through clenched teeth, yanking at the other end of the jacket. Two girls glared down at the two boys fighting, snapping at them to stand up. Following after them were a boy and girl, who seemed to be completely tuning out the others.
"Guys," the purple haired girl snapped. "We have an audience." From sense of directed authority and clothing she was Mal, daughter of Maleficent.
The two boys froze and looked up in surprise, as if just noticing the crowd in front of them. Quickly jumping to their feet they put on the best innocent smiles that they could muster.
"We were just fixing up." The muscular boy said.
Fairy Godmother gave a slightly grimace. "Leave it like you found it," she said in her usual sing-song voice. "And by that, I mean just leave it." The group gave the muscular boy a pointed look before he grumbled in reply and tossed the items he had collected back in to the limo.
Jack glowered as the boy sauntered over to Audrey, wearing a flirtatious smile. "Hello, foxy. The name's Jay." Jack let out a snort and rolled his eyes, barely able to hold back a smirk as Audrey merely heeded his advances.
Fairy Godmother quickly stepped in between the two, still keeping up with her smile. "Welcome to Auradon Prep. I am Fairy Godmother, Headmistress." She informed, along with a curtsy.
Immediately Mal perked up at the name, her green eyed widening with a mischievous mirth. "Fairy Godmother?" She repeated, waving her hand in the air as if waving a wand. "As in bibbidi bobbidi boo?"
"Bibbidi bobbidi, you know it," Fairy Godmother replied proudly.
"Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just appeared out of nowhere. With that sparkly wand and warm smile...and sparkly wand." Mal sighed dreamily, causing Jack to narrow his eyes at her, especially as she kept hinting at the wand.
Fairy Godmother however, waved it off. "That was a long time ago. And as I always say, don't focus on the past or you'll miss the future."
All the VK's eyes widened at the gesture the Fairy Godmother gave, all looking a bit turned off.
"It's so good to finally meet you all," Ben spoke up, a huge but nervous smile etched on to his face. "I'm Ben."
"Prince Ben," Audrey corrected automatically, trying to contain her excitement but ultimately bursting with joy. "Soon to be king."
The blue haired girl with a blood-drop necklace let out a gasp, and her eyes lit up. "You had me at prince." She hurried forward over to Ben, crowding him closely. "My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess." She stated before giving a curtsy. Ah, this must be Evie.
Jack and Audrey glanced at each other, before looking at Ben who stood between the two of them. He looked like a fish out of water as he tried to find a way to reply to Evie, but his nerves seemed close to bursting at the moment.
Without a word, Audrey gave him a nod that said, "I got this."
"The Evil Queen has no royal status here. And neither do you." She said truthfully, her hand gripping Ben's arm comfortingly. Evie faltered and stepped back in to line with the other VKs, a look of hurt on her face. One of them, one of the girls who stepped out last looked as if she wanted to say something, but after sharing a look with Evie she stayed silent. This must mean that the last two had to be Oliver, son of Mother Gothel, and Issa, daughter of Queen Narcissa and Hades.
"This is Audrey," Ben introduced.
"Princess Audrey." Audrey corrected, her smile not at all convincing.
"Ben, and Audrey, are going to show you all around and I'll see you tomorrow," Fairy Godmother dramatically broke apart Audrey's and Ben's hands, peerly focused on the villain kids. "The doors of wisdom are never shut! But the library hours are from eight to eleven, and as you might have heard, I have a little thing for curfews."
"Noted." Oliver snorted, not interested in the slightest.
Once the Fairy Godmother and the marching band had left and awkward silence fell over the group and Jack decided it was time to study their attire. Oddly all their clothing seemed to mark the color attributes of their parents-Carlos with his black, white, and red. Jay with his gold and maroon. Evie with her blue, red, black, and Mal with her purple and green. Issa anointed a classic shade of scarlet and black, along with small hints of violet. Oliver was the odd one out. His attire was a forest green and a pale yellow. If Jack remembered correctly those were not Gothel's chosen colors.
"It's so good to finally meet-" Ben's words were lost in his throat when he went to shake Jay's hand, only to be stopped by a fist to the chest. "you all." Instead of replying to the punch, he gave Jay a smile in regards. Jack on the other hand wanted to say something else.
"This is a momentous occasion and I hope go down in history." Ben gave a weak chuckle as he pulled back from shaking Carlos' hand, sniffing the dark brown smear on his hand. "Chocolate?"
Jack glanced over at Oliver and Issa, for some reason not able to take his eyes off of them. He didn't know why, but their was something alluring about them that he just couldn't put his finger on.
"We didn't catch your name?" Issa spoke, causing everyone to turn and look at her, but she only smirked at Jack, who let out a sigh.
"Jack Frost."
A mischievous smirk pulled across her face, she gleamed over at him. "I'm going to call you Snowflake-"
"No you aren't-" Jack went to insist, but Issa seemed to have already made up her mind.
"Too late, I already claimed it." She shrugged, before moving to continue the tour.
As Ben began to lead the way for the tour, Jack narrowed his eyes when he felt Issa's gaze locked on him. More specifically his hands that covered by thin lining of the gloves. Dismissing it, and the new found nickname, he hurried his steps so he could stand beside Ben and Audrey.
"Auradon Prep. Originally built over three hundred years ago and converted into a high school when my father became king." He led them to a circular garden and nodded at a statue of King Adam. Clapping his hands twice, the statue of the human king morphed into his once beastly form. Startled by the sudden change Carlos let out a terrified scream and jumped on top of Jay, clinging to him for dear life.
"Carlos, it's okay," Ben reassured. "My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible."
"Like having a king who kidnapped a poor girl's sick elderly father, held her hostage in a cell never once thinking about setting her free. Until they fell in love. And yet were the villains." Oliver whispered in to Issa's ear, earning a snort.
"Does he shed much?" Mal asked jokingly.
"Yeah, mom won't let him on the couch." Ben replied seriously, before giving Mal a smile. Audrey and Jack gave him a questioning look but decided not to bring it up further.
As the group continued to with, Mal took this time to drop her fake interest in the tour and move closer to Ben.
"So, you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon? Like wands and things like that?"
"Yeah, it exsist of course, but it's pretty much retired. Most of us are just ordinary mortals." Ben answered.
Jack narrowed his eyes and scratched along the palm of his glove. "Yeah, 'most of us.'" He grumbled out quietly, however drawing Ben's attention, as well as Issa's. An awkward silence seemed to envelope over the group before Ben let out a cough.
"Doug!" He called over to a boy dressed in the blue and yellow marching band uniform with black rimmed glasses. Hearing his name, he hurried down the stairs over to the group. "This is Doug. He's going to help you with your glass schedules and show you the rest of the dorm." He walked back over to Audrey and Jack, who seemed to be having a loose conversation. "I'll see you later, okay? And if you need anything-" his eyes landed on Mal, who looked even more confused.
"Ask Doug." Audrey replied simply before wrapping her arm around Jack's mid-section and grabbing Ben by his hand, before leading the two away.
